MARY M. CRAMER
Mary M. Cramer, 79, of N. Market Street, Duncannon, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.

She was born June 1, 1925 in Milroy to the late Charles B. and Anna M. (Harmon) Wilson.

She was a cook at Ulrich’s Restaurant, Dauphin.

She was the widow of Paul E. Hassinger and Robert Cramer.

Surviving are children, James R. Barlett of McClure, Charles H. Barlett of Lewistown, Mark W. Bartlett of Arizona, Robin Hampton of Harrisburg, Patricia A. Barlett of Virginia and Margaret Hackenberry of Arkansas; two brothers, Charles Wilson of Camp Hill and Richard E. Wilson of Lewistown; and several stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert L. Barlett.

Burial was in Salem Cemetery.

Hoenstine Funeral Home, Lewistown, handled arrangements.

JOHN E. FRISCH SR.
John E. Frisch Sr., 86, of Sawmill Road, Duncannon, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004, in Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield.

He was born April 21, 1918 in Bellevue, Ohio, to the late Fred and Dorothy (Moyer) Frisch.

He was a retired machinist for the former Pennsylvania Railroad; an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of International Association of Machinists and Aero Space Workers 1869, and Zion Lutheran Church, Marysville.

He was the widower of Betty Frisch, who died in 2002.

Surviving are three sons, Furnley H. of Duncannon, Theodore B. of New Cumberland and John E. Jr. of Harrisburg; a brother, Daniel of Bellevue, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held Jan. 4 in his church with the Rev. John Bohn officiating. Burial was in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Marysville.

Boyer Funeral Home, Duncannon, handled arrangements.

RAYMOND E. COMP
Raymond Edward Comp, 71, of Marysville died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004 at home.

He was an employee of the Association of the Blind and was a skilled carpenter and mason.

Surviving are his wife, Nadine A. Comp; two daughters, Twyla D. Crozier of Newville and Juanita R. Stone of Harrisburg; a son, Randy E. of Carlisle; a sister, Jane Cramer of Gardners; and six grandchildren.

Services were held Jan. 4 in Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Burial was in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Marysville.

Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.

JOANNE K. COOPER
Joanne K. Cooper, 76, formerly of Marysville and Camp Hill, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Marysville, and Astro Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Harrisburg.

She was the widow of Francis R. Cooper.

Surviving are a daughter, Laurie C. Weller of Camp Hill and a brother, James R. Kunkle of Enola.

A graveside service was held Dec. 29 in Perry Heights Cemetery, Marysville.

Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville, handled arrangements.

ANNA G. FOGLEMAN
Anna G. Fogleman, 84, formerly of Loysville RR 1, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004 in Menno Haven, Chambersburg.

She was born May 21, 1920 in Tyrone Twp. to the late Leroy and Mary (Bender) Stewart.

She was a retired food service worker at Loysville Youth Development Center and was a homemaker for more than 50 years; a former committee person for Perry County Office of Aging; a 1936 graduate of the former Landisburg High School; a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Blain, and Lutheran Church Women, Blain Senior Citizens Center, and, until recently, Blain Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and Blain Ambulance Club; had voted in every election since 1940; and enjoyed quilting, gardening, baking and traveling.

She was the widow of John W. Fogleman Sr.

Surviving are a daughter, Linda A. Dupert of Kingwood, W.Va.; a son, Francis L. of Chambersburg; a sister, Betty Shields of Loysville; two brothers, Larry Stewart Sr. of Loysville and Earl “Bud” Stewart of Texas; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, John W. Jr.; two sisters, Janice Diffenderfer and Mary Catherine Hill; and a brother, William Stewart.

Services were held Jan. 4 in her church with the Rev. Richard D. Schoenly officiating. Burial was in Blain Cemetery.

Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, handled arrangements.

CLYDE HAMMAKER
Clyde Hammaker, 79, of New Buffalo died Friday, Dec. 31, 2004 at Harrisburg Hospital.

He was born Sept. 25, 1925 in Watts Twp. to the late Chris and Elizabeth (McDonel) Hammaker.

He was a retired machinist for Conrail; a life member of Duncannon VFW and American Legion; and enjoyed camping, woodworking, fishing and Western movies.

He was the widower of Dorothy Mae Moyer Hammaker.

Surviving are five daughters, Linda Frederick of Marysville, Susanne Rudy of Duncannon, Patricia Hammaker Roberts of Harrisburg, Mary Huggins of Duncannon and Janice Hammaker of Harrisburg; two sisters, Mary Smith of Harrisburg and Ethel Walborn of New Bloomfield; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Joshua Hammaker Foltz.

Services were held Jan. 4 in Ronald C.L. Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon. Burial, with military honors by VFW Post 255 and American Legion Post 340, was in Hill Church Cemetery, Watts Twp., Duncannon.

MARY B. NOWARK
Mary B. Nowark, 100, formerly of Camp Hill, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004 in Pataskala, Ohio, at the home of her son.

She was born Dec. 3, 1904 in Markelsville to the late Millard E. and Mary (Lenker) Flickinger.

She was a secretary and a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation; and had been a member of Christ Community Church while living in Camp Hill.

She was the widow of Carl L. Nowark.

Surviving are a son, Darwin L. Long; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held Jan. 3 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. Anthony C. Hill officiating. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery.

IDA E. MATELLO
Ida E. Matello, 83, formerly of E. Main Street, New Bloomfield, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005 in Stonebridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Duncannon.

She was born Dec. 18, 1921 in Perry County to the late Raymond and Mary (Clouser) Foose.

She was a member of Mt. Olivet Church of the Brethren, Newport, where she had taught Sunday school and was active in the women’s group, New Bloomfield Fire Company Auxiliary and New Bloomfield Senior Citizen Center; and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and baking.

She was the widow of Harry “Pete” Matello.

Surviving are two brothers, Albert E. and Walter E. Foose, and a sister, Suzanne F. Clouser, all of New Bloomfield; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Harry C.N. Foose; and two sisters, Pearl F. Arndt and Pauline M. Weldon.

Services were held Jan. 5 in David M. Myers Funeral Home, Newport. Burial was Newport Cemetery.

RUTH M. REIGLE
Ruth M. Reigle, 81, formerly of Newport, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.

She was the daughter of the late Ruben L. and Myrtle B. (Ramsey) Jones.

She was retired from Penn National Insurance Co., Harrisburg, and a member of Mt. Olivet Church of the Brethren, Newport.

She was the widow of Charles E. Reigle Jr.

Surviving are two sons, Larry L. of Camp Hill and Marvin L. of Himrod, N.Y.; a sister, Cora Crockett of Harrisburg; and five grandchildren, Lisa M. Reigle, Craig E. Reigle, Peach S. Reigle, Jennifer A. Albert and Christopher L. Reigle.

She was preceded in death by a son, Lynn E.; two brothers, Lee and George Jones; and two sisters, Betty Dorman and Martha Miller.

Services were held Jan. 3 in her church with the Rev. John R. Shenk officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.

CARL W. MCNAUGHTON
Carl W. McNaughton, 69, of Landisburg RR 2 died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004 in Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 9, 1935 at Duncannon to the late George and Mary (Page) McNaughton.

He was a retired mechanic from Hempt Brothers Inc., Camp Hill, and a former employee of Sheaffer-Weary Chevrolet, Loysville, Wilbert Vault Company, Enola, and was a grave-opening excavator in many cemeteries; and a member of New Life Assembly of God, Landisburg.

Surviving are his wife, Betty J. Wimer McNaughton; seven children, Ron McNaughton of Ickesburg, Linda Rosema of Albany, Ga., Sharon Simpson of Carlisle, Rita Conrad and William Holstine, both of Shermans Dale, Jo Wirick of Loysville and Richard Holstine of Landisburg; five brothers, Palmer McNaughton and Robert Stailey, both of New Bloomfield, Ray McNaughton of Liverpool, George McNaughton of Thompsontown and Ernest McNaughton of Hummelstown; three sisters, Linda Kile of Shiremanstown, Kathy Beck of Liverpool and Mae Comp of Landisburg; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Gish, and a brother, Paul Stailey.

Services were held Jan. 4 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. Larry J. Bidwell officiating.

MILDRED E. RUSSELL
Mildred E. Russell, 95, of Spruce Street, Elizabethville, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004 at Osteopathic General Hospital, Harrisburg.

She was born Feb. 28, 1909 in Jackson Twp., Dauphin County to the late Clarence C. and Mina (Klinger) Hoffner.

She was the co-proprietor of the former Uhler and Company Grocery Store, Elizabethville; and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Elizabethville, where she had been the church organist for more than 50 years, former Sunday school teacher and trustee board member, Pennsylvania Order of Americans Lodge; Pennsylvania Farm Women and Elizabethville Senior Citizens.

She was the widow of Edward Uhler Jr. and Harold E. Russell.

Surviving are a daughter, Mina J. Buffington of Elizabethville; a stepson, David Russell of New Bloomfield; a stepdaughter, Connie Raffensperger of Elizabethville; three granddaughters, Wendy Raffensperger of New Buffalo, Elizabeth Summers of Elizabethville and Jessica Carl of Clarks Valley; four stepgrandchildren, Kathy, Weibley of Clearfield, Suzanne, Lesher of Elizabethville, and Brooke and Olivia Russell, both of New Bloomfield; seven great-grandchildren, Amy, Danielle and Matthew Raffensperger, Andrew and Ryan Summers, and Robert and Jacob Carl; and four stepgreat-grandchildren, James and Jonathan Weibley, and Zachery and Benjamin Lesher.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Hoffner.

Services were held Jan. 2 in her church. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery.
