EMILY C. POTTER
Emily C. Potter, 77, of Pennell's Church Road, Duncannon, died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
She was born Nov. 30, 1920 in Wheatfield Twp. to the late David and Bertha (Reed) Way.
She retired as a cafeteria cook from Susquenita High School, was a retired farmer and a member of Logania Church of God.
Surviving are her husband, Jesse B. Potter; two sons, Thomas L. Way and Jack L. Potter, both of Duncannon; and two granddaughters.
Services were held Aug. 7 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Bernard Fortna officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Duncannon.

GOLDIE A. PURDUE
Goldie A. Purdue, 61, of Sneedville, Tenn., formerly of New Bloomfield, died Monday, Nov. 16, 1998 at home.
She was a Harrisburg native.
She was the widow of Merle A. Purdue Sr.
Surviving are two sons, Merle A. Purdue Jr. and John R. Turner-Purdue, both of New Bloomfield; a daughter, Christine A. Godfriaux of Sneedville; her mother, Florence G. Baker Turner Angell of New Bloomfield; two sisters, Florence Stailey of Tularosa, N.M., and Catherine Steimling of Port Trevorton; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Nov. 23 in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York.
Baumeister, Orcutt & Small Mortuary, York, handled arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association, South Central Pennsylvania Chapter, 1013 Mumma Road, Suite 303, Lemoyne 17043.

JOHN W. PERRY
John William Perry, 73, of Cove Road, Duncannon, formerly of Harrisburg, died Monday, Feb. 23, 1998 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He retired as personnel director from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary A. Newman of Boiling Springs and Drema D. Bonavitacola of Elkridge, Md.; a stepdaughter, Sally A. Meyers of Gettysburg; a sister, Florence Johnston of Fayetteville; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held March 2 in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville, handled arrangements.

KENNETH L. PREDIX
Kenneth L. Predix, 42, of Duncannon, formerly of Marysville, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 1998 in the Susquehanna Center, Harrisburg.
He retired as a printer and supply manager from Professional Insurance Agents, Mechanicsburg; was a graduate of Susquenita High School and Central Penn Business School; and a former member of Marysville Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, AnnaMarie C. McNulty Predix; two sons, Nathan L. and Benjamin L., and a daughter, Christine M., all of Duncannon; his father, Raymond L. Predix Sr. of Duncannon; a sister, Kathleen A. Bolden of Duncannon; and two brothers, Raymond L. Jr. of Duncannon and Larry E. of York.
Services were held Aug. 21 in Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Burial was in Perry Heights Cemetery, Marysville.

NOVELLA J. POTTER
Novella J. Potter, 80, of Valley Road, Marysville, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was a retired cook from Harrisburg Hospital and the former Van's Restaurant in Enola; and a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Rye Twp.
She was the widow of Paul Potter. Surviving are two daughters, Leona N. Lightner and Paulette A. Mutzabaugh, both of Rye Twp.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 19 in Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.

SATCHIRIA E. KINER
Satchiria E. "Ronald" Kiner, 46, of Fannettsburg, formerly of Blain, died Saturday, June 6, 1998 at Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born Feb. 2, 1952 at Blain RR 1 to Lula V. (Stahl) Kiner of Blain RR 1 and the late Ray William Kiner.
He was employed by Smith Brothers Construction Company and was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to his mother, surviving are his fiancee, Patricia Foreman of Fannettsburg; two daughters, Vicki Lynn Silvis of Shermans Dale and Melissa Marie Kiner of Carlisle; a son, William C. of Carlisle; four foster children; Richie, Shawn, Randy and Matthew Foreman, all of Fannettsburg; a sister, Nancy L. Panilaitis of Blain RR 1; two brothers, Robert R. of Blain RR 1 and Roy W. of Elliottsburg RR 2; and nine grandchildren.
Services were held June 10 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. H. James Williams officiating.

IDA PORTZLINE
Ida Lehra Portzline, 64, of Susquehanna Twp., Liverpool RR 1 died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998 at home.
She was born Jan. 14, 1934 in Monroe Twp., Juniata County, to the late Charles and Cathryn (Sweigart) Spade.
She had attended the Watts schoolhouse, Monroe Twp.; attended Oriental Church, Mount Pleasant Mills RR 2; and was a member of the Liverpool Ambulance League.
She was the widow of George Franklin Portzline, who died Sept. 29, 1991.
Surviving are three sons, Joseph L. and Randy A. Spade and Gary A. Portzline, all of Liverpool RR 1; a daughter, Ivy Lynn Pollock of Duncannon RR 4; two brothers, Kenneth Spade of Richfield RR 1 and Raymond Spade of Liverpool RR 2; two sisters, Edna Jones of Middletown and Cathryn Pannebaker of Thompsontown RR; and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, John, Charles and James Edward Spade and twins Paul E. and Robert S. Spade in infancy; three sisters, Emma Minium, Maude Reynolds and Mae E. Spade in infancy; two half-brothers, Earl and Aarol Spade; and one grandson, Cory L. Spade.
Services were held Feb. 10 in Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, with pastor Jeff Boyer officiating. Burial was in Arbogast's Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills RR 2.

HARRY I. PRESSLEY
Harry Ivan Pressley, 92, formerly of Millerstown, died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998 in Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield.
He was born Aug. 15, 1905 in Millerstown to the late Harry and Mary Gertrude (Pines) Pressley.
He retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, had been a heavy-equipment operator for William Zeiders Contracting, and was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II.
Surviving is a sister, Bessie P. Christopher of Carlisle.
Services were held Jan. 29 in Nickel Funeral Home, Millerstown, with the Rev. Charles Tressler officiating. Burial was in Reward United Methodist Cemetery, Millerstown RR 3.

SAMUEL G. KNUTH
Samuel G. Knuth, 79, of Arbor Manor Apartments, New Buffalo, died Monday, May 11, 1998 in Renova Center, Mechanicsburg.
He was born Jan. 19, 1919 in Watts Twp. to the late John and Ada (Fissel) Knuth.
He retired from the former Pennsylvania Railroad; was a Navy veteran of World War II; and a member of Roseglen United Methodist Church, the United Transportation Union, Duncannon VFW, Duncannon Lions Club, Duncannon Sportsmen's Association, Promise Keepers, Full Gospel Businessmen's Association and Duncannon High School Alumni Association.
He was the widower of Ellen Louden Knuth. Surviving are a daughter, Janet L. Clendenin of New Buffalo; two brothers, John of New Buffalo and Edward of Duncannon; five granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Foster.
Services were held May 14 in Otterbein United Methodist Church, Duncannon, with the Revs. B. Michael Brossman and Aden Wertz officiating. Burial, with military honors, was in Hill Cemetery, Duncannon.
Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, handled arrangements.

ALBERT R. SWEGER
Albert R. Sweger, 78, of Millerstown RR 1 died Friday, April 17, 1998 at the home of his daughter.
He was born Jan. 25, 1920 at Millerstown Rr 1 to the late Roland and Laura Mae (Lesh) Sweger.
He was a retired farmer and a driver for Sweger Bus Lines, Millerstown, for the Greenwood School District; a retired forest fire warden; and a member of Donnally Mills United Methodist Church, Millerstown RR 1, Central Pennsylvania Square Dance Callers Association, American Folk Musicians Association and Loyal Order of Moose 925, Millerstown.
He was the widower of Geraldine E. Fleisher Sweger.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra M. Swab of Elliottsburg; two granddaughters, Annette E. Johnson of Glendale, Ariz., and Natalie M. Sieber of Shermans Dale; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held April 21 in Nickel Funeral Home, Millerstown, with the Rev. Arthur L. Montgomery officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.
