ROBERTA B. RIGG
Roberta B. Rigg, 71, of State Road, Duncannon, died Friday, Dec. 17, 1999 at home.
She was born March 20, 1928 in Baltimore to the late John A. and Roberta (Altenburg) Buck.
She had worked for the former Marysville Dress Co. and had been an Avon saleswoman.
She was the widow of Samuel P. Rigg.
Surviving are a son, Samuel B. of New Bloomfield; two sisters, Hazel Dixon of Baltimore, Md., and Grace M. Baer of Delaware; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Jeffrey Buck and Steven Rigg.
Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, handled arrangements.

ROBERT E. ROWLES
Robert E. Rowles, 56, of Spring Road, Shermans Dale, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999 in Carlisle Hospital.
He was born July 18, 1943 in Harrisburg to the late Fred F. and Margaret (Good) Rowles.
He was an employee of Harrisburg Consistory; a 1961 graduate of the former William Penn High School, Harrisburg; a member and former trustee of Mount Gilead United Methodist Church, Shermans Dale; a 33rd-degree Freemason and a member and past master of New Bloomfield F&AM Lodge 319; a past high priest of Newport Royal Arch Chapter 238; a past illustrious master of Juniata Valley Royal and Select Masons Council 64; a past commander of Lewistown Knights Templar Commandery 26; and a past sovereign and recorder-elect of Trinity Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine.
He also was a member of the Shermans Dale Lions Club, Shermans Dale Fire Company, York Rite College 11, Harrisburg Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest 43 and Zembo Shrine Temple, Knight Masons Council 6, the Capital Area Scottish Rite Club, and Perry-Juniata Shrine Club.
Surviving are his wife, Doris Zeigler Rowles; two daughters, Jennifer Rowles of Camp Hill and Diana Hertzler of Mechanicsburg; and two sisters, Doris Ann Bair and Linda Milliken, both of Marysville.
Services were held Oct. 9 in his church with the Rev. Kenneth Miller officiating.
Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, handled arrangements.

RODNEY E. REIFSNYDER
Rodney E. Reifsnyder,44, of Duncannon died Wednesday, April 28, 1999 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was a millwright for Bethlehem Steel Corp.; a graduate of Steelton-Highspire High School; and a member of United Steel workersLocal 1688, the Perry County Archers and the Duncannon Sportsmen's Association.
Surviving are his wife, Robin L. Armstrong Reifsnyder; a daughter, M. Nikole, at home; a son, Joseph D. of Kingman, Ariz.; his parents, William E. and Mildred M. Reifsnyder of FairviewTwp.; and three brothers, Ronald L. of Harrisburg, Randy L. of Phoenix and Dale M. of Etters.
Services were held May 1 in Geigle Funeral Home, Harrisburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Capital Region Unit, 1500 N. Second St., Harrisburg 17102-2527.

WALTER J. RUDY
Walter J. Rudy, 69, of Village Court, Mechanicsburg, died Friday, July 2, 1999 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He retired from the West Shore School District and was a member of Christian Life Assembly of God, Camp Hill.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanetta V. Hemminger Rudy; a son, James R. of Mechanicsburg; two daughters, Jeanene Hoffman of Japan and Juanita Bentz of Newport; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., July 8, in his church with the Rev. Ronald Smith officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.
Viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., July 8.
Boyer Funeral Home, Duncannon, handled arrangements.

H. MILTON VOGLESONGER
H. Milton Voglesonger, 82, of Estero, Fla. died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999 as the result of injuries sustained in an auto accident.
He was the son of the late Rev. and Mrs. Harry M. Voglesonger and a 1935 graduate of Newport High School.
He was the widower of Elizabeth Miller Voglesonger.
Surviving are a son, David; a daughter, Cynthia; and a sister, Helen M. Straub.

BRUCE E. WEAVER
Bruce E. Weaver, 60, of Peters Mountain Road, Halifax, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999 in Sundance, Wyo.
He retired as a construction foreman from PP&L; and was the owner of Weaver's Chaparral, Halifax; a Marine Corps veteran; and a member of Halifax United Methodist Church, Marysville Sportsman's Club, Newport American Legion Post 177 the PP&L Live Wires and the Thousand Trails Camping Club; and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf.
Surviving are his wife, Carol A. Feltenberger Weaver; two daughters, Stacey A. Newton of Victoria, Va., and Christine E. Buffington of Halifax; a son, Jason A. of Marysville; his mother, Helen E. Dorman Weaver, and a brother, Harold E., both of Marysville; two sisters, Rhoda O. Rupp of Mechanicsburg and Judy M. Mutzabaugh of Duncannon; and five grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 13 in his church. Burial, with military honors, was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville, handled arrangements.

BERNICE M. WHITESEL
Bernice M. Whitesel, 66, of N. Front Street, Halifax, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, from injuries suffered in a fire at her home.
She was born May 18, 1932 in Watts Twp. to the late Samuel and Ella (Miller) Humphrey.
She was a former truck driver for Superior Trucking; formerly worked for D&H Distributing; a beautician; a graduate of Empire Beauty School, Harrisburg; and a member of Halifax VFW and Fisherville Fire Company auxiliaries.
She was the widow of Rodney R. Whitesel.
Surviving are three sons, Lynn E. and Wilbur W., both of Halifax, and Samuel B. of Millersburg; a daughter, Anna Mae Bailey of Millersburg; a brother, Linden S. Humphrey of Duncannon; four sisters, Jane Casey of Duncannon, Virginia Zinn of Erie, Ruby Urich of Fisherville and Mary Humphrey of Liverpool; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 3 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with Lynn E. Whitesel officiating. Burial was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

CORA E. WATTS
Cora Ethel "Grandma" Watts, 69, of Mount Pleasant Mills RR 1 died Monday, Sept. 20, 1999 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was born Sept. 21, 1929 in Snyder County to the late Emanual A. and Ethel May (Kemer) Knouse.
She had worked for Eileen Hope Inc. in Liverpool, Newport, New Bloomfield and Duncannon, and Williamstown Industry; was educated in Buckwheat Valley and Pleasant View grammar schools; a Lutheran; a member of Richfield Ambulance League, Oriental Sportsman's Club, Liverpool American Legion Auxiliary and Millerstown Moose; and enjoyed newspapers, word puzzles and CB clubs.
She was the widow of John Wesley Watts Sr., who died Sept. 11, 1984.
Surviving are a son, John Jr. of Liverpool RR 1; a daughter, Ethel Mae Hile of Mount Pleasant Mills RR 2; two sisters, Flora Swartz of Millerstown RR 2 and Shirley Debo of Blaksley; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, David C. Knouse; two sisters, Louisa Knouse and Mary Shiltz; and a longtime companion, Wilfred R. Hawk, who died in December 1994.
Services were held Sept. 23 in Garman Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant Mills. Burial was in Arbogast's Lutheran Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills RR 2.

CLAYTON H. WATSON
Clayton H. Watson, 88, of Spring Road, Carlisle, died Thursday, April 8, 1999 in Carlisle Hospital.
He was born Dec. 18, 1910 in Newport to the late Jesse and Minnie Mae (Hemperly) Watson.
He was a retired employee of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; a technician for RCA; former West Perry School Board director; a member of Shermans Dale United Methodist Church; and a charter member of the Shermans Dale Fire Company.
Surviving are his wife, Erma G. Watson; two sons, Keith L. of New Bloomfield and Dane L. of Camp Hill; a brother, Gerald S. of Michigan; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held April 12 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. Bruce Woolever officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church, 40 Windy Hill Road, Shermans Dale 17090.
