PAUL E. WOODS
Paul E. Woods, 90, of Gantt Street, Newport, died Thursday, April 1, 1999 at home.
He was born July 18, 1908 in Blain to the late John and Maude (Anderson) Woods.
He retired as a truck driver from SOLO Trucking Co. and was a member of Centre Presbyterian Church, Loysville.
He was the widower of Viola K. Woods.
Surviving are two sons, Wayne H. of Millerstown RR 1 and Terry L. of Newport RR 3; two daughters, Vera M. Haines of Shippensburg and Marie I. Barnes of Poolesville, Md.; two brothers, Wayne of Blain and Ralph of Carlisle; a sister, Emmaline Young of Yeagertown; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ralph E.; a daughter, Jane E. Woods; and a sister, Pearl Palm of Ickesburg.
Services were held April 6 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Paul Kauffman officiating. Burial was in Blain Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Newport Ambulance League, P.O. Box 66, Newport 17074.

ROBERT C. WEBBER JR.
Robert C. Webber Jr., 50, of Barnett Road, New Bloomfield RR 1, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999 at home.
He was born March 20, 1949 in South Carolina.
He was a construction worker and collected old coins and Coca-Cola memorabilia.
Surviving are two sons, Robert C. III of Newport and Robert C. IV of Carlisle; a daughter, Michelle Stafford of Loysville; his mother, Joyce Bucher of Enola; his father, Robert C. Webber of Duncannon; a brother, Jake Bucher of Enola; five sisters, Trudy Scarlett of Enola, Charlmayne Jones and Darcelle Shislom, both of Harrisburg, Dena Herring of California and Sonya Reed of Steelton; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 3 at Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. Anthony C. Hill officiating. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery.

RONALD G. WEIDENHAMMER
Ronald G. Weidenhammer, 65, of Nace Street, Millerstown, died Wednesday, March 31, 1999 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born April 9, 1933 in Kutztown to the late Earl and Alma (Zimmerman) Weidenhammer.
He retired as a guidance counselor from Greenwood High School, Millerstown, where he coached boys' basketball from 1959-69 and baseball from 1959-63; was a graduate of Kutztown High School, where he played soccer, baseball and basketball, and of Pennsylvania State and Lehigh universities; an Army veteran; a driver for Meals on Wheels, Millerstown; and a member of Highland Presbyterian Church, Newport, where he was in the choir and a former elder, Alpha Chi Rho fraternity and Lost Creek Golf Club.
He played minor league baseball in the Philadelphia Phillies organization at High Point, N.C., and Olean, N.Y., and was a member of the Kutztown High School Athletic Hall of Fame and the Berks County Chapter, Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. He also played baseball and basketball at Penn State, where he was a member of the basketball team that placed third in the 1954 NCAA tournament.
Surviving are his wife, Marie B. Weidenhammer; a son, Michael S. of New Cumberland; a daughter, Sherri Linn of Harrisburg; and four grandchildren.
Services were held April 3 in his church with the Rev. Crea Clark officiating. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of his church, P.O. Box 116, Newport 17074, or American Cancer Society, Capital Region Unit, 1500 N. Second St., Harrisburg 17102-2527.

ROBERT J. WOLF
Robert J. Wolf, 98, of Idle Road, Marysville, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He retired as an oiler from the former Pennsylvania Railroad and was a former member of the Marysville Moose lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Irene H. Black Wolf; a son, Walter E. of Marysville; five grandchildren; and great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 12 in Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Rye Twp.

RUTH M. WERTZ
Ruth M. Wertz, 87, of Perlo Ridge Apartments, Loysville, formerly of Landisburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999 at home.
She retired from the former Hamilton Bank and was a member of Susquehanna Valley Church of God, Rutherford Heights, Landisburg Church of God, Derry Street Senior Citizens and the Golden Age group of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
Services were held Jan. 16 in Landisburg Church of God. Burial was in Landisburg Cemetery.
Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, handled arrangements.

RAYMOND R. WIELAND SR.
Raymond R. Wieland Sr., 84, of Newport RR 4 died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born June 2, 1914 in Millerstown to the late Harry H. and Nora (Zeigler) Wieland.
He retired from Triangle Pacific - formerly Precisionwear; was a member of Millerstown United Methodist Church, Millerstown Moose Lodge 925 and Carpenters Union Local 287; and an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was the widower of Margaret Shrawder Wieland.
Surviving are a companion, Grace Frownfelter of New Bloomfield; two sons, Raymond Jr. of Loysville and Lloyd of West Fairview; two daughters, Nancy Vasiliadis of Camp Hill and Ruth Kegg of Newville; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services were held March 2 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Arthur Montgomery officiating. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Capital Region Unit, 1500 N. Second St., Harrisburg 17102-2527.

SHIRLEY I. WIRT
Shirley I. Turns Wirt, 64, of Roberts Valley Road, Harrisburg, died Friday, Feb. 12, 1999 in Manor Care Health Services East.
She was a retired cook with Polyclinic Hospital.
Surviving are her husband, William J. Wirt; her mother, Pearl M. Turns of Harrisburg; a daughter, Marjorie D. Earnest of Elliottsburg; a son, Clarence Edward Hartz of Colonial Park; three sisters, Beverly A. Jamison and Sandra E. Turns, both of Harrisburg, and Marcia K. Allen of Grantville; three brothers, William C. Turns Jr. of Middletown, and Barry E. Turns and Donald L. Turns, both of Harrisburg; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 16 in Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, Harrisburg, with the Rev. David T. Willard officiating. Burial was in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to any hospice organization.

VELMA J. WALLIZE
Velma J. Wallize, 76, of Walnut Creek, Calif., formerly of Millerstown, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999 in John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek.
She was born April 8, 1923 in Oxford, Neb., to the late Edgar and Margaret (Davenport) Turner.
She was formerly employed as a bookkeeper for R.E. Savercool Co. and later for Meiser Lumber Co., both of Millerstown; a computer Braillist; member of the former Millerstown Presbyterian Church; and a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary 255, Duncannon..
She was the widow of Budd R. Wallize, who died in Nov. 10, 1981.
Surviving are one daughter, Sherry K. Hockenbrock of Walnut Creek, with whom she lived since 1981; one son, Ronald R. of Las Vegas, Nev.; one brother, Gerald Turner, and one sister, Margaret Stutzman, both of Kearney, Neb.; two grandchildren, Michael Wallize of Centerville, Va., and Candice Brannon of Las Vegas; and five great-grandchildren, Nikolas and Madison Wallize, and Morgan, Hayden and Kaylee Brannon.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12, in Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown, with the Rev. Nancy McClure officiating.
There will be no viewing.
Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, is handling arrangements.

WILLIAM R. WILLOW
William R. "Bill" Willow, 73, of Liverpool RR 1 died Tuesday, April 20, 1999 in Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born May 28, 1925 at Greenwood Twp., Juniata County, to the late Charles William and Minnie R. (Marks) Willow.
He was educated at Wilt's Grammar Schoolhouse in Greenwood Twp; retired in May 1990 as a mill worker from Triangle Pacific Cabinet Corp., Thompsontown, and formerly worked at Updegrove's Orchards, Millerstown, and Wood Mode Industries, Kreamer; attended Bible Baptist Church of Liverpool and was a former member of St. James United Methodist Church, Millerstown RR 2; an Army veteran of World War II; a member of the United Steelworkers of America AFL-CIO-CLC, Local 15253, District 7; and enjoyed wood crafting, hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Carrie E. Kline Willow; two daughters, Thelma M. Mullen of Duncannon and Sandra K. Helwig of Mt. Holly Springs; a sister, Anna Aucker of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas H. and John A., and one sister, Sarah A. Frey, who died Jan. 13, 1997.
Services were held April 24 in Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, with the Rev. Robert T. Gray Jr. officiating and Donald K. Crooks assisting. Burial, with military honors, was in St. Peter's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Millerstown RR 2.

JANE E. ALDINGER
Jane E. Aldinger, 62, of Pine Ridge Circle, Enola, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000 in Polyclinic Hospital.
She was a former auxiliary member of American Legion Post 1001 and had been an auxiliary member of the former Wormleysburg VFW Post 462.
Surviving are her husband, William L. Aldinger; a son, William L. Jr. of Enola; a daughter, Diane L. Brooks of Summerdale; a brother, John T. Dawson II of Steelton; six sisters, Judy A. Row and Sara Ann Miller, both of Middletown, Louise Via of Harrisburg, Joyce A. Miller of State College, Beverly J. Yanich of Marysville and Kathy E. Dawson of Linglestown; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 11 in Richardson Funeral Home, Enola. Burial was in Perry Heights Cemetery, Marysville.
