ESTHER H. COLLINS
Esther H. Collins, 87, of Loysville RR 1 died Thursday, July 19, 2001 at home.
She was born Feb. 27, 1914 at Blain to the late Ira R. and Pearl V. (Rowe) Harris.
She was a homemaker; a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Loysville RR 1, Blain Ambulance Club and Blain Fire Company; and attended Blain Senior Citizens Center.
Surviving are her husband, Edmund D. Collins; a son, Baird E. of Loysville RR 2; a daughter, Kay E. Range of Shiremanstown; a brother, John N. Harris of Loysville RR 1; and four grandchildren.
Services were held July 24 in her church with the Rev. Richard D. Schoenly officiating. Burial was in the church Cemetery.
Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, handled arrangements.

EMMA L. COMP
Emma L. Reisinger Comp, 69, of Water Street, Landisburg, died Friday, April 6, 2001 in Carlisle Hospital.
She was born Jan. 30, 1932.
She was the widow of Benjamin Comp, who died in 1987.
Surviving are five sons, Elwood Reisinger of Landisburg, Benjamin Comp of Carlisle, Dennis Comp of Newport, Daniel Comp of Millerstown and Robert Comp of Harrisburg; two daughters, Ruth Ann Whistler of Middletown and Rose Sadler Comp of Mechanicsburg; a half-sister, Minnie Comp of Landisburg; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 13, in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Emma Comp Memorial Funeral Fund, c/o First National Bank of Newport, Center Square Office, New Bloomfield 17068.

ETHEL M. CAMPBELL
Ethel M. Campbell, 97, formerly of Lewistown, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001 in ManorCare Health Services, York.
She was born July 18, 1904 in Harrisburg to the late Samuel and Annie (Haverstock) Cameron.
She was a member of Rhodes Memorial Methodist Church, Lewistown, and loved flowers and gardening.
She was the widow of Lee P. Campbell.
Surviving are two sons, Paul C. of York and Roy C. of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 5 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Thomas B. Morningstar officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church, Highland Avenue, Lewistown 17044.

ERNEST M. CRUM
Ernest M. Crum, 90, of Spring Road, Shermans Dale, died Sunday, May 13, 2001 in Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.
He was retired from C.H. Masland Inc., and a member of Mount Gilead United Methodist Church, Adams Lodge 419 F&AM and Harrisburg Consistory.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Barrick Crum; two sons, Floyd E. of Newville and Victor B. of Enola; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held May 16 in his church. Burial was in the church Cemetery.
Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, handled arrangements.

FAYE A. CARPENTER
Faye Ann Carpenter, 60, of Dulles Drive East, Camp Hill, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was born Dec. 21, 1940 in Newport to the late Franklin P.D. and Nellie (Brown) Freet.
She was an employee of Classic Dry Cleaners; a graduate of Susquenita High School; a member of Peace Catholic Church at the Army War College, Carlisle; and was interested in wildlife groups.
She was the widow of Paul R. Carpenter.
Surviving are two brothers, James M. Freet of Middletown and Frank A. Freet of Millerstown.
Services were held Jan. 18 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Donald Rutherford officiating. Burial was in Hill Cemetery, Duncannon RR 4.t.

HAROLD L. CRAWFORD
Harold L. "Mike" Crawford, 73, of Duncannon, formerly of Lewistown, died Friday, March 30, 2001 in Kinkora Pythian Home, Duncannon.
He was born March 27, 1928 in Yeagertown to the late Walter and Urilda (Mauery) Crawford.
He was a retired machinist from Conrail, Harrisburg; an Army veteran of the Korean War; attended Wesley United Methodist Church, Marysville; a member of VFW Post 882, Marysville, West Shore Elks Lodge, Camp Hill, and Sportsman's Golf Club and the Railroad Golf League, both of Harrisburg; a former head coach for the Heights Bombers Little League football team, Lewistown; and enjoyed golf, NASCAR racing, Penn State football and Susquenita High School football and wrestling.
Surviving are his wife, Gertrude B. Crawford; a daughter, Deborah A. Heisey, Marysville; a son, Terry S. of Dallas, Texas; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, James N. and Walter "Bud" Crawford.
A memorial service was held April 2 in Wesley United Methodist Church, Marysville.
Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville, handled arrangements.

JANET L. CUNKLE
Janet L. Cunkle, 79, of Basin Hill Road, Duncannon, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001 at home.
She was born Sept. 3, 1921 in Harrisburg to the late Stewart and Bessie (Keville) Holmes.
She was a retired employee of Zurich Financial Services, Mechanicsburg, and formerly employed by Aetna Insurance Co.; a graduate of William Penn High School, Harrisburg; a member of Christ United Church of Christ and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 340 and the Golden Age Club, all of Duncannon; and enjoyed oil painting and drawing.
Surviving are her husband, John Cunkle; two sons, Jeffrey L. of Harrisburg and Joel L. of Shermans Dale; a sister, Lucille Maguire of Duncannon; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Jan. 25, in her church with the Rev. Alan Foor officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Garden, Harrisburg.
Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, is handling arrangements.

JUDY L. CAMPBELL
Judy L. Campbell, 51, formerly of Landisburg, died Saturday, June 16, 2001 in Thornwald Nursing Home, Carlisle.
She was born Oct. 18, 1949 at Landisburg RR 1 to Scott Campbell of Lewisberry and the late Treva (Clouser) Campbell.
She was a former state employee and formerly employed at an orchard.
In addition to her father, surviving are a daughter, Michelle "Missy" L. Campbell of Landisburg; four sisters, Doris Mitten of Landisburg, Mary Campbell of Carlisle, Betty Richardson of Lemoyne and Shirley Nett of Millersville; a granddaughter and a grandson.
A memorial service was held June 22 in Thornwald Home chapel. Graveside services, with pastor Robert W. House officiating, were held June 22 in Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Landisburg RR 1.
Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, handled arrangements.

KATHRYN L. CAMPBELL
Kathryn L. Campbell, 74, of Newport RR 2 died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001 in Hershey Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 15, 1926 in Perry County to the late Tony and Lena (Gipe) Campbell.
She retired from the former Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg; was a volunteer at Newport Public Library and Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield; a member and former treasurer of Pine Grove Church of God; a member of Central Perry Community Senior Citizens Center, New Bloomfield; and enjoyed reading and travel.
Surviving are a brother, Robert of Newport RR 2, and a sister, Mary Seaman of Jersey Shore.
Services were held Jan. 15 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Michael Witmer officiating. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Newport Public Library, 316 N. Fourth St., Newport 17074, or her church, RR 2, Newport.

MARY E. CONRAD
Mary E. Conrad, 76, formerly of New Cumberland, died Sunday, June 10, 2001 in Kinkora Pythian Home, Duncannon.
She was born Nov. 24, 1926 in New Cumberland to the late George and Clara Leach.
She was owner/operator of A to Z Professional Tax Service and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, John B. Conrad Jr.; two sons, John B. III of Shermans Dale and George of Mechanicsburg; a daughter, Bonnie Coscomb of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 15, in Shermans Dale United Methodist Church with the Rev. N. Jefferson Brewster officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday at the church.
Boyer Funeral Home, Duncannon, is handling arrangements.
