He was 69 years old. Fred was born September 3, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Fritz Knaak and the late Herlinde Knaak (nee - Metzger).

He is the beloved husband of the late Doris Knaak (nee - Werner); Father of Eric and Ted Knaak; Grandfather of Ryan and Tedi Knaak; Brother of Roland and Ted Knaak.

Fred was born in Philadelphia and and moved with his family to his mother's hometown of Mühlhausen in Germany in 1934. The family returned to the United States after World War II and Fred served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. After leaving the service he attended the Philadelphia Institute of Technology and from 1960 until 1997 he was employed by Link-Belt Co. in Philadelphia which later became F.M.C. Corporation and then Rexnord Corporation, attaining the position of plant manager. He was active in the local soccer community, playing for the Kolping House and Phoenix Soccer Clubs. Mr. Knaak was a member of the Hermann Lodge No. 125 F. & A.M., the Cannstatter Volksfest Verein and the Vereinigung Erzgebirge.

Relatives and friends were invited to call Tuesday, October 23, 2001, from 4:00 to 6:30 P.M. at the Wetzel and Son - Montanye Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge. Maria L. Stefany

She is the beloved wife of the late Adam Stefany; mother of Anna Petrovich and her husband Joseph, Gisela Frick and her husband Ludwig, Emma Hoffmann and her husband Leonard and William Stefany; grandmother of Ludwig and Karen Frick, Margaret Greisback, James and Robert Petrovich, Sandra and Jennifer Hoffmann; great grandmother of Christina and Emily Frick, Kelsey, Dana, Eric and Kiersten Greisback, Erin, Matthew, Nicole and Amy Petrovich; sister of Paul Galgon.

During her working career Maria was a seamstress working for Quaker City Clothing Company in Allentown, PA. Maria was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Olney for 37 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to call Saturday, October 19, 2002, from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at the Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge. Relatives and friends were invited to her funeral service Saturday, October 19, 2002, at 10:00 A.M. at the Wetzel and Son Funeral Home. Interment at Rosedale Memorial Park in Bensalem followed the funeral service.

Raymond was a graduate of Our Lady of Confidence School in 1969.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing Friday, October 22, 2004, from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. and to his funeral mass at 10:30 A.M. at Presentation B. V. M. Church, 100 Old Soldiers Road, Cheltenham. Interment was private.

Doris Marie Peterson

She is the beloved mother of George and his wife Dale, Karl and his wife Shirl and Kirk Hollerbach and his wife Helga and Lisa Rosencrans and her husband Ray; grandmother of Lauren, Peter, Theresa, Melissa, Jed and Emily Hollerbach.

During her working career Doris worked assembling circuit boards. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Horsham.

Relatives and friends were invited to her memorial service Sunday, October 24, 2004, at 7:00 P.M. at Grace Presbyterian Church - Horsham, Columbia Avenue & Easton Road, Horsham.

Frederick F. Black - "Fred"

He is the Beloved husband of the late Inez M. Black; Father of Barbara Pond Davis and her husband Thomas J. Davis of Hatboro, PA and Robert F. Black and his wife Jennifer West Black of San Bernardino, CA;

Grandfather of Kristine Ann Black of Doylestown, PA, Susan L. Pond of Hatboro, PA and Elizabeth M. Colón and her husband Pedro of Hatboro, PA.

Fred resided at Roslyn Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Roslyn, PA. He formerly resided in Hatboro and Abington, PA. Fred was baptized by his grandfather Edgar Black, a former Methodist minister. He was a graduate from Abington High School. During high school Fred played trumpet in the band and was involved with the DeMolay. Fred and Inez were married September 13, 1941 at Olivet Presbyterian Church. They were married 34 years before Inez's death. After school he was employed by Standard Pressed Steel (SPS).

Fred was a volunteer firefighter at the McKinley Firehouse and was a starter at the Bucks County Country Club. He volunteered his time at the Abington Hospital often over the years. Fred supported his children during their youth by assisting in their many church programs and scouting troops. During the 1960s and 1970s Fred worked at the Wetzel funeral home in Willow Grove assisting in many aspects of funeral service. As a younger man he had aspired to become a Funeral Director. His relationship with his wife Inez led him to his full time career with SPS. Fred retired from SPS in the late 1970s. Regarding his age of "84 and one half years," Fred told his daughter that the "half years are important again."

Relatives and friends were invited to his Memorial Service Tuesday, October 23, 2001, at 1:00 P.M. at Lehman Memorial United Methodist Church, York Road & Lehman Avenue, Hatboro. Interment was private.

Charles R. Auten - "Ray"

Wasyl was born and raised in Poland and emigrated to the United States in 1952. He worked for 29 years as a machinist for the Philadelphia Steel and Wire Corporation. He was a member of the First Ukrainian Evangelical Baptist Church in Philadelphia and the Montgomery County Beekeepers Association.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing Saturday, October 30, 2004, from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. and to his funeral service at 10:30 A.M. at the Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge. Interment at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge followed the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the First Ukrainian Evangelical Baptist Church, 6000 Large Street, Philadelphia, PA 19149.
