Margaret E. Lennartz

LEWISTOWN - Margaret E. “Peggy” Lennartz, 75, of Blue Juniata Drive, Lewistown, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died at 9:08 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at the home of her daughter, in Mechanicsburg.
She was born June 2, 1929, in Lemoyne, a daughter of the late Dr. Lee M. and Kathryne (Aiken) Esh, of Belleville. Her husband, of 56 years, Charles W. Lennartz, of Lewistown, survives.
Also surviving are, children, Mrs. James W. (Kathy) Spagnoletti, of Mechanicsburg and Michael C. Lennartz, and wife, Barbara, of Lewistown; granddaughter, Mrs. Michael L. (Jennifer) Mitchell, of Milroy; grandsons, Brian J. Spagnoletti, and wife, Lynanne, of New Cumberland, and Joseph J. Spagnoletti, and fiancee, Kristen Moran, of Harrisburg; and three great-grandchildren.
She had a long history in Girl Scouting, a subject very dear to her heart. She became a Girl Scout in 1936, beginning 69 years of service.
She was a troop leader, unit leader and day camp director, progressing on to Mifflin County Council president and executive director. She was a troop leader at the National Senior Roundup, in Vermont, an adult leader for the Wider Opportunity Trip to Europe for Seniors and delegate to several national conventions.
Once Hemlock Girl Scout Council was formed, she was a member of the first council staff as a field director. She was the camp director at camps Barree and Small Valley and assistant camp director at Camp Golden Pond.
She received the Hemlock Award and Thanks Badge, as well as other awards from different area associations in the Hemlock Council.
After retiring, she remained active as a volunteer in several committees and was always eager to be a guest speaker at any function, to stress the importance of providing girls and young women the opportunity to experience the benefits of Girl Scouting.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 106 N. Dorcas St., Lewistown, with the Rev. John Bateman officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. Her visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday, at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, where a Scripture Service will begin at 8:45 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hemlock Girl Scout Council, 350 Hale Ave., Harrisburg, PA 17105 or Hospice of Central PA, P.O. Box 266, Enola, PA 17025.

Margaret L. Seecora

MILROY - Margaret L. “Me-Ma” Seecora, 90, formerly of 1044 Lower Creek Road, Treaster Valley, Milroy, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died at 4:10 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2005, at Beverly Healthcare-William Penn, Lewistown.
She was born April 16, 1915, in Lewistown, a daughter of the late Ira C. and Bertha (Yearick) Hummel. Her second husband, Lawrence Seecora, preceded her in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death May 14, 1976. Her first husband, Lee E. Nale, preceded her Oct. 2, 1950.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jean M. (James) Eckley, of Milroy; stepdaughters, Kay Boyer, of Reston, Va. and Nancy Muller, of Michigan; grandchildren, Christina J. Carolus-Lepley and David S. Carolus; great-grandchildren, Abigail L. Carolus, Erica L. Lepley and Katelyn J. Carolus; and stepgrandsons, Aaron Boyer, Anthony Muller and John Muller.
She was the last of her immediate family, having been preceded in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death by sisters, Glenda Wolfgang and Mildred Showers; and grandson, Richard L. She worked for American Viscose, and owned and operated East End Superette on Walnut Street, Lewistown. She worked at Town & Country and retired from the Area Agency on Aging.
She was a member of Siglerville Congregational Church and Fountain Square Senior Community Center. She had played in the Lewistown Symphony Orchestra and the Siglerville Band.
Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, with the Rev. Bert Bowen officiating. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Siglerville. Her viewing will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Lydia S. (Furst) Cunningham

SORRENTO, Fla. - Lydia S. (Furst) Cunningham, 53, of 137 Hillsborough Dr., Sorrento, Fla., formerly of Greenwood Rd., Altoona, peacefully went to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday April 6, 2005. She Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">passed away at home after a courageous three-year battle with ovarian cancer.
She had a very strong Christian faith and loved her family so much.
She is survived by: her loving husband, David G. Cunningham; three daughters, Amy Ganous, of Slocomb, Ala., Sarah Fink, of Beckley, W.Va., and Amanda, Lake Mary, Fla.; one son, David Jr., Lake Mary, Fla.; 1-year-old grandson Alex, of Beckley, W.Va.; her father and step-mother, Hubert S. and Elsie Furst, Mt. Dora, Fla.; and two sisters, Paula McCrone, Duncannon, and Nancy Curtis, Sorrento, Fla.
She was preceded by: her mother, Nancy E. (Secrest) Furst.
A celebration of her life will be held on her birthday May 12, 2005 at Yalaha Community Church, Yalaha, Fla.

Thomas A. Hesford

MIFFLINTOWN - Thomas A. Hesford, 62, of Mifflintown, Pa., left this life at 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at his home.
A devoted husband and father, he will be sorely missed by his family. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Connie (Schwanger) Hesford; daughters, Linda MacLeod and husband John, of Jacksonville, Fla., Geri Mason and husband Peter, of Mifflintown, Pa., and Christie Hesford, of Mifflintown, Pa.; as well as his five beloved grandchildren, Hannah, Nora, Benjamin, Noah and Owen.
Born Nov. 1942, in Altoona, Pa., he was the son of the late Arthur and Nellie Hesford. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, retiring after 23 years of service. He also worked as a printer in Lancaster, Pa. (Intelligencer Printing Co. and Wagaman Brothers), and as a milkman for Wengert and Harrisburg Dairies in Lebanon, Pa., and at Royal Dairy in Lewistown, Pa. He most recently worked for the Veterans Administration as a caretaker at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
He was a member of the Lower Tuscarora Presbyterian Church, in Academia, Pa.; Union Lodge 324 F&AM, Harrisburg Consistory; and Mifflintown American Legion Post 298. He was an accomplished horseman and enjoyed spending time with his family.
There will be a viewing beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, Pa., followed by the funeral at 3:00 p.m. A Masonic Memorial service will be conducted by the Union Lodge prior to the funeral.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the 28th Aviation Brigade.

Warren E. Weader

BRIDGEVILLE, Del. - Warren E. He was born Dec. 7, 1936, in West Beaver Township, Snyder County, the son of the late Carmen and Lillian (Aurand) Weader. His wife, Henrietta C. (Gingerich) Weader, whom he married June 29, 1977, survives.
In addition to his wife, surviving are seven children, Victor Weader and wife Colleen, RR 1, Beavertown, Shelvy Reinard and husband Carl, Glenda Deckard, both of Selinsgrove, Catharine (Duncan) and husband Gary Keister, RR, Middleburg, Jane (Duncan) and husband Darryl Smoker, Greenwood, Del., Michael Duncan and wife Selena, and Reed M. Duncan, both of RR, Beaver Springs; seven grandchildren,Regina Reinard, Brandon Weader, Ryan and Jenica Keister, and Janelle, Andrew and Rhonda Smoker; two sisters, Mary Hart and husband Donald, Dillsburg, and Margaret Troxell, RR, Beavertown; nieces and nephews, Robert Albert, Gloria (Albert) Farquar, Brian Hart, and Tony, Randy, Michael and Sandra Troxell; and an uncle, Donald Weader, RR, McClure.
He was preceded in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death by a brother-in-law, Larry Troxell, in June 2004.
Warren attended Beaver Vocational High School.
He served a tour in German with the Army.
Mr. Weader was employed by Faylor-Middlecreek Construction, Winfield, and later by Poloron Homes, Middleburg, and Scott Garrison Trucking, Beavertown, until a disability forced his retirement in 1999.
He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Chapel, Mount Pleasant Mills.
Warren was also a member of the Teamsters Union, Milton Local; Penns Cave Antique Machinery Association, where he also served on the setup crew; Lucky 7 Hunting Camp (York Camp); Mill Pond Boat Club; and the Beaver Springs Fire Company and Ambulance Club, where he served for a number of years as an ambulance driver.
Warren was known to many people as his C.B. handle, “Lucky 7.”
He enjoyed camping with is family, especially his grandchildren, and attending antique shows. But Warren mostly enjoyed being at home, socializing with his friends and drinking coffee around the kitchen table, where the coffee pot was always on and everyone was welcome.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, with Pastor Enos M. Shelley officiating. Interment will be in Troxellville Union Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Louise S. Yeck

REEDSVILLE - Louise S. Yeck, 75, of 161 Church Lane, Reedsville, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died at 3:25 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at Lewistown Hospital.
She was born on July 25, 1929, in Littlestown, Pa., the daughter of the late Stanley and Sarah (Harner) Staub. Her husband, Elmer J. Yeck, whom she married April 17, 1954, survives.
Also surviving are a son, Kennon Lee Yeck, of Mount Jackson, Va.; and a sister, Ruth Gephart, of Havre de Grace, Md.
She was a 1946 graduate of Littlestown High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree, in home economics, from Mansfield State Teachers College.
She was a home economics teacher at Rothrock, Kishaco-quillas and Lewistown high schools. She was a member of Kish Kampers for 36 years.
Her graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown, with the Rev. Kenneth Longfield officiating. There will be no viewing.
Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, is handling the funeral arrangements.

Inez Fry

THOMPSONTOWN - Inez Fry, 73, of Main Street, Thompsontown Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Faith United Methodist Church, East Waterford with Pastors Eaton and Don Walters officiating. Interment will be in the East Waterford Cemetery.

Fae I. Bigelow

BURNHAM - Fae I. Born Oct. 1, 1930 in Burnham, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Dorothy M. (Nearhoof) Bigelow.
Surviving is a son, William Russell Bigelow, II, of 525 Freedom Ave., Burnham and a grandson, William Russell Bigelow, III.
She was a secretary for thirty-one-and-a-half years at Noerr Motor Freight, Inc., Warner-Lewis Buick for four years and at Carpet World for four years.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Burnham for 56 years and was currently a member of Walnut St., United Methodist Church. She was treasurer for the church for 26 years.
She was also treasurer of the Newton Fire Company Auxiliary for 26 years, a member of the Burnham High School Alumni Association and served on the Burnham Borough Sewer Authority.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Inc., 108 First Ave., Burnham, with Rev. Larry K. Lutz officiating. Interment will be in Birch Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Louise M. Dubendorf

Also surviving are: two daughters, Bonnie Kise of Avondale and Vicki Goetz of Ogden, UT; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 333 W. 7th St., Ogden, UT.
Cremation was under the direction of Aaron’s Mortuary & Crematory, 1600 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT.

Annabell M. Fultz

James A. Kulp. Sr.

His wife, Marian (Austin) Kulp, whom he married in November 1957, survives.
He is also survived by three sons and their spouses/companions: James A. Kulp, Jr., and companion, Theresa Michaels, Lewistown, Leon E. Kulp and wife, Lori, Lewistown, and Ronald C. Kulp, Lewistown; two siblings, Darlington R. Kulp, Harrisburg, and Mrs. Robert (Marianna) McCartney, Lewistown; and four grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Bernard Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow at Lind Memorial Cemetery.
A viewing will be held 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
