Born June 5, 1986, in Lewistown, he was the son of Stephen T. Treaster and Beth A. (Stuck) Treaster, both of 155 S. Kishacoquillas St., Belleville.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Kayla E. and Camryn A. Treaster, both at home; maternal grandmother, Carol A. Stuck, Belleville; paternal grandfather, James M. Treaster Sr., Belleville; paternal grandmother, Jean L. Treaster, McVeytown; and maternal great-grandmother, A. Jean Wilson, Belleville.
He was preceded in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death by his maternal grandfather, Neil G. Stuck; and his paternal grandmother, Shirley M. Tomecsek.
He had been employed with HOSEA Project Movers, Newport, Ky.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his friends. He was a loving son and brother, and he will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Rockville Fellowship Church, Belleville, with the Rev. Harold Sharp officiating. Interment will be in Machpelah Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, at Baggus Funeral Home, Belleville.
Arrangements are under the direction of Baggus Funeral Home, 3813 W. Main St., Belleville, PA 17004.

John H. Sheriff

LEWISTOWN - John H. Sheriff, 75, of Valley View Haven Nursing Home, formerly of Lewistown, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at the Lewistown Hospital.
Born Nov. 16, 1928, in McClure, he was a son of the late Clarence Earl and Emma (Hoffman) Sheriff. His wife, Mary (Cavanaugh) Sheriff preceded him in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death on May 13, 2000.
Surviving are children Mrs. Douglas (Marlene) Pierce, 323 Trella St., Belleville, Timothy P. Sheriff, Pittsburgh and Daniel J. Sheriff, S. Main St., Lewistown; siblings Clarence E. Sheriff, Jr., Belleville and Mrs. George (Betty) Hoke, Colorado Springs, CO; and four grandchildren.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Lawver’s United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown with Rev. Kevin Brophy officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Betty L. (Dillman) Notestine

EAGLE LAKE, Fla. - Betty L. (Dillman) Notestine, 77, of Eagle Lake, Fla., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Friday, Aug. 19. 2005, at her residence. A native of Saville Township, Pa., she moved to Eagle Lake, Fla. from Harrisburg eight years ago.
She is survived by her son, Andrew Notestine, Mifflintown; daughter, Connie Satterfield, Winter Haven, Fla.; step-sons, Daniel McNemar, Hummelstown, and Ronald McNemar, Newport; step-daughter, Catherine Haffly, Harrisburg; brothers, Martin Dillman, Mount Pleasant Mills, Guy Dillman, Mifflintown, Kenneth Foose, Mifflintown, Harry Dillman, Catskills, N.Y., and Greg Fosselman, McAlisterville; and twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was the widow of John W. McNemar. She was also preceded in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death by her parents, Harry B. and Lyda Bess Fuller Dillman; and her sister, Barbara Rotz.
She was retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
She was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, Mifflintown, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Her life will be celebrated at a gathering of family and friends at 3 p.m. Sunday, in the Arch Rock Community Center, Mifflintown, with the Rev. Anna Ritter officiating.
Service arrangements are under the direction of Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home Inc., 2100 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church, 3 S. Third St., Mifflintown, PA 17059.

Richard W. ‘Dick’ Reck

CAMP HILL - Richard W. “Dick” Reck, 66, of Camp Hill, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005, in the Select Specialty Hospital.
Born Dec. 27, 1938, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late P. Richard and Marjorie (Miller) Reck. Margaret P. Reck, his wife of 44 years, survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Richard W. Reck II and wife Carol, Williamstown N.J., Leslie A. Reck, Enola, and Stacy L. Reck, Perkiomenville; a brother, Robert A. Reck, Lewistown; a sister, Ethlyn F. Moyer, Granville; three grandchildren, Taylor Marie, Cooper James and Hunter William; one aunt, Ethlyn V. Pearce, Lewistown; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Shippensburg College, a retired systems analyst from AMP Inc., a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and of the U.S. Weather Service.
He enjoyed working with his computer, but his passions were his family and sailing.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at the Camp Hill Cemetery Columbarium.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susquehannock Sail & Power Squadron Education Fund, c/o Earl W. Hill, 122 Westover Drive, New Cumberland, PA 17070; or to the American Lung Association, 3001 Old Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.

William C. Wertz Jr.

NEWVILLE - William C. Wertz Jr., 80, of Green Ridge Village, Newville, and formerly of S. Spring Garden St., Carlisle, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 12, 1925, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late William C. and Elizabeth S. (Fleisher) Wertz Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Roberta B. (Shell) Wertz, of Carlisle; two sons, Theodore K. Wertz, Leesburg, Ga. and Keith R. Wertz, Lexington, Ky.; two daughters, Susan M. Pratt, Lakewood, Colo. and Laura E. Contreras, Lake Elsinore, Calif.; two sisters, Bernice Snook, Lewistown, and Kay Wertz, W.Va.; three brothers, Donald, Carlisle, Herbert and Richard, both of Lewistown; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was a graduate of Lewistown High School and attended Susquehanna University, where he played football under Coach Amos Alonzo Stagg from 1947-1948.
He retried from the U.S. Postal Service in Carlisle after 30 years as a letter carrier. He served as shop steward for NALC 500 for many years and he started a Chauffeur business called, “Your Chauffeur Connection” in 1987.
He was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 101, Carlisle, a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and Seekers Sunday School Class, Carlisle, and a former member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He officiated for the PIAA for over 30 years, officiating baseball, football, basketball, wrestling and softball. He also organized and played in the over-40 softball league, Carlisle.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, in the Grace United Methodist Church, 45 South West St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Edward T. D’Agostino officiating. Burial will be in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle, with military honors by the Cumberland County Honor Guard.
There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service in the church.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Mary A. Woods

MIFFLINTOWN - Mary A. Woods, 97, of RR 2, Mifflintown, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died at 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005, at Brookline Manor, RR 1, Mifflintown.
Born June 27, 1908, in Old Port, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late William F. and Luella (Summers) Ranck. Her husband, John S. Woods Sr., whom she married in February 1935, preceded her in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death Oct. 24, 1972.
She is survived by her children, William C. Woods and wife Sharon, Bellevue, Wash., John S. Woods Jr. and wife Luella, RR 2, Mifflintown, Elaine L. Colyer and husband North, RR 1, Mifflintown; one brother, Merle Ranck Sr., Mexico; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandsons.

She was the oldest living member of Locust Run United Methodist Church, RR 1, Thompsontown, and its Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Lady Lafayette Rebekah Lodge 384, McAlisterville, and a life member of the Juniata County Coon Hunters Association.
She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, putting out her garden and tending to her flowers when her health permitted.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the Locust Run United Methodist Church, RR 1, Thompsontown, with her pastor the Rev. Maureen A. Wagner officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Memorial Gardens, RR 4, Mifflintown.
A viewing will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, with the family present from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville.
Memorial contributions may be made to McAlisterville Senior Citizens Center, PO Box 394, McAlisterville, PA 17049.

David L. Glendye

HONEY GROVE-David L. Glendye, 44, of RR 1, Honey Grove (Reeds Gap), Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died at 5:20 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005, at his residence.
Born Sept. 16, 1960, in Derry Township, Mifflin County, he was the son of Gaynelle A. (Smith) Glendye, Lewistown, and the late Curtis H. Glendye Sr. His wife, Diane E. (Nealman) Glendye, whom he married June 4, 1994, survives.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by four children, Denise Campbell, Sunbury, Kristi Bryner, Honey Grove, Shannon Glendye, Lewistown, and David C. Glendye, at home; one brother, Curtis H. Glendye Jr., Lewistown; two sisters, Patricia L. Conner and husband Terry, Lewistown, and Sandra L. Chapman and husband Michael, Saltillo; and six grandchildren.
He was working as a maintenance electrician for Fry Communications, Mechanicsburg. In earlier life, he worked for the family owned restaurant, Red’s Diner.
He was a U.S. Army veteran having attained the rank of sergeant.
He attended Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Reeds Gap.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, as well as a NASCAR and dirt track racing fan, but his greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, at Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with Pastors Don Walters and Rick Noll officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Nook, where full military Burial honors will be accorded by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
A viewing will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 26 N. Brown St., Lewistown, Pa., 17044; or to Hospice: The Bridge, 400 Highland Ave., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Harold M. Yeater

He was also a member of the men’s Bible class, and coached the Sunday school baseball team and the Lions little league team. He was a member of the ACTWU Retirees and was a diehard Phillies fan.
His funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Charles “Chuck” Sprenkle officiating. Interment will be in Glen Dale Cemetery, Middleburg.
The viewing will be held at 1 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
