Private funeral services were conducted Tuesday evening, March 4, 2003 at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, Inc. in Johnsonburg, for infant Justin Joel Kilhoffer. The Rev. Stephen S. Shanaman, Pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Johnsonburg, officiated.

Interment was in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Johnsonburg

He was the son of Matthew C. and Rachel L. Elmquist Kilhoffer of 206 Church St., Johnsonburg.

Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother, Cole Matthew Kilhoffer, at home; his maternal grandparents, Joel and Cindy Elmquist of Johnsonburg; his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Carolyn Kilhoffer of Wilcox; and his maternal great-grandparents, William and Myrtle Elmquist of Johnsonburg. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Justin was predeceased by a brother, Kurt David Kilhoffer, on Nov. 20, 2000.

Walter T. O'Rourke

Walter T. O'Rourke, 79, a resident of Pinecrest Manor in St. Marys and formerly of Wilcox, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Friday, June 20, 2003, at Elk Regional Health Center.

He was born Aug. 11, 1923, in Ridgway, son of the late Marshall and Lila Beck O'Rourke. On Dec. 27, 1946, he married Margaret Kunes, who preceded him in death.

Mr. O'Rourke served with the 163rd AAA Gun Battalion of the U.S. Army in New Guinea and Luzon during World War II. He attained the rank of Private First Class.

Before his retirement he had worked at the Johnsonburg Paper Mill.

He was a member of the American Legion, the Masonic Lodge, and the Sportsmen's Club, all in Wilcox. He also served on the Wilcox Cemetery Committee.

Mr. O'Rourke is survived by three daughters, Janet Warmbrodt of Johnsonburg, Barbara O'Rourke of Wilcox, and Peggy Smith of DuBois; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers, Marshall O'Rourke of Ohio, Calvin O'Rourke of Wilcox, Morris O'Rourke of Wilcox, and Norman O'Rourke of Florida; one sister, Helen Lemmon of Wilcox; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Walter T. O'Rourke will be held at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Wilcox at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 27, with the Rev. Franklyn Morris officiating.

The Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Paul F. Lukaschunis

Paul F. Lukaschunis, 38, of Los Angeles, Calif. Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Saturday, March 2, after an illness.

He was born in St. Marys on April 26, 1963.

He is survived by his mother, Victoria R. Walker of Bradford; his father, Robert J. Lukaschunis Sr. of Jermyn; four brothers, Robert J. Lukaschunis Jr. of Rossiter, Michael A. Lukaschunis of St. Marys, George E. Lukaschunis of Emporium and Patrick S. Lukaschunis of DuBois; two sisters, Rose M. Moore, Bradford and Christine M. Szymanski, Johnsonburg; and many friends, cousins and other relatives.

Kathryn L. Trognitz

Kathryn L. Trognitz, 84, formerly of 413 Dewey Circle, Ridgway, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Tuesday afternoon, March 4, 2003, at the Jefferson Manor, following a lengthy illness.

She was born Sept. 25, 1918, in Ridgway, daughter of the late Louis A. and Minnie (Norlin) Bushey. She was married to James R. Lynch in November of 1935; he preceded her in death. She then married Harry Trognitz in June of 1976, who also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Trognitz had resided in Ridgway all of her life, and was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, and was a past member of the WELCA at the church.

She was a 1935 graduate of the Ridgway High School. She had been employed by Brockway Glass for 27 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Holmes of Florida and Darla Schutz of Ridgway; two sons, Dennis Lynch of Escandito, Calif., and Stephen Lynch of Ridgway; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Bushey of Ridgway; four sisters, Nadine Cedargren of Ridgway, Virginia Olson of Ridgway, LaVonne Retzer of Ridgway, and Alice Green of Brockport; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death by one son, James R. Lynch, and one sister, Doris Capuano.

Funeral and committal services for Kathryn L. Trognitz will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home on Thursday, March 6, at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Donald D. Hake, Pastor of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Oakmont Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home tonight from 7-9 p.m.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, or to the Frank Clark Memorial Fund.

Carol A. Hoffman

Carol A. Hoffman, 66, of 370 Walnut Street, St. Marys, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Tuesday, March 5 at her residence following a lengthy illness.

She was born Jan. 7, 1936 in St. Marys, daughter of the late George L. and Dorothy Mons Wolfel. On August 20, 1955 in Sacred Heart Church, she married William Hoffman, who survives.

Mrs. Hoffman graduated from St. Marys High School. She retired from Pure Carbon where she had worked for over 22 years. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, Legion Auxiliary and the Moose Auxiliary.

Also surviving are a daughter, Denise (Mrs. Kevin) Dietz; two sons, Daniel Hoffman and his wife, Ruthie, and Robert Hoffman and his fiancŽe, Ann Tucker, all of St. Marys; three granddaughters, Danielle Hoffman, and Krista and Kelly Dietz.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Jeannie Hauber.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Carol A. Hoffman will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Friday at 10 a.m. with Father Ananias, O.S.B., as celebrant.

Visitation is in St. Marys on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Community Nurses of Elk and Cameron Counties, 757 Johnsonburg Road, St. Marys.

Margaret R. Griech
Margaret R. Griech, 54, of 4833 Grant Rd., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys.

She was born June 25, 1949 in Ridgway, daughter of P. Victor Moore, Sr., of Ridgway and the late Louise A. Yeager Moore.

On Sept. 25, 1971, she married Raymond G. Griech, who survives.

Mrs. Griech had resided in Ridgway all of her life, and was a 1967 graduate of Ridgway High School. She was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, the church choir, the Ridgway Township Municipal Authority, the Women's Volleyball League, and the Democratic Party. She enjoyed horseback riding. She had been employed by the Ridgway Area School District at the Elementary School facility.

Also surviving is a sister, Katherine A. Straub of Emporium; two brothers, Edward F. Moore and P. Victor Moore, Jr., both of Ridgway; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret R. Griech will be celebrated at St. Leo's Catholic Church on Thursday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m., with Fr. D.G. Davis, parochial vicar of St. Leo's Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the parish Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home tonight from 7-9 p.m. A Wake Service will be held at the funeral home 9 p.m. tonight.

Memorials may be made to the Ridgway Home Care.

Michael G. Glatt

He was born Sept. 26, 1946 in St. Marys, son of the late Hiliary and Regina C. Gregory Glatt.

Mr. Glatt graduated from Elk County Christian High School, class of 1964. He worked at Carbon City Product and also at Keystone Carbon Company. He was a member of Queen of the World Church.

He is survived by three sisters, Mary Agnes (Mrs. Gerald) Marshall of St. Marys, Karen D. (Mrs. Richard) Rigard of Factoryville, and Susan M. (Mrs. Frank) Schlafhauser of Pittsburgh; two nieces and four nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael G. Glatt will be celebrated at Queen of the World Church Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be at St. Marys funeral home Wednesday from 6-9 p.m.

Memorials may be made to St. Marys Catholic Elementary School, 337 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857; or to Community Nurses, Inc., 757 Johnsonburg Road, Suite 200, St. Marys.

Frank A. Polaski

Frank A. Polaski, 91, of the Lutheran Home in Kane and formerly of 161 East Ave., Johnsonburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died on Friday, Nov. 26, 2010 following a lengthy illness.
He was born August 10, 1919 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Peter J. and Stella Macijiwska Polaski.
He married Mary E. Roebuck on October 11, 1945 in Holy Cross Church in Rasselas. She preceded him in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death on April 17, 2008.
He resided in Johnsonburg all his life and attended Johnsonburg schools. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Church and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving two tours overseas as a Lineman Tech 5 with the 255th Signal Corps Company in Normandy, northern France and the Rhineland, where he received the American Defense Service Medal, American Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He was employed by PennTech Papers in Johnsonburg for 35 years, retiring in 1984.
He is survived by three sons, Richard Polaski and his wife Linda of Pittsburgh, Kenneth "Kenny" Polaski and his wife Linda of Johnsonburg and Gerald Polaski and his wife Lisa of Wilcox; three grandchildren, Jeremy, Adrienne and Brent Polaski; two brothers, Charles and Edwin Polaski, both of Johnsonburg; and two sisters, Irene, Mrs. Arden Wilcox of Fredricksburg, Md. and Helen Erickson of Ridgway; numerous nieces and nephews; and several stepbrothers and stepsisters.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, John M., Anthony V., Chester H. and Norman Polaski; three sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Apthorpe, Martha Polaski and Frances Olewinski; and by several stepbrothers and stepsisters.
A funeral service for Frank A. Polaski will be conducted at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, on Sunday, Nov. 28 at 1 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor of Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg. Interment will be in the Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home at 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., with the service to follow at 1 p.m.

Jason Lee Glynn

He was born March 1, 1978 in Rapid City, S.D., the son of Beth Glynn. On Feb. 14, 2009, he married Norene Reinard, she survives. He had resided in Highland for seven years. Prior to moving to Pennsylvania, he had resided in Kadoka, S.D. Jason was a genuine cowboy. He was co/founder of the Allegheny Outriders Horse Club. He and Norene were owners/operators of N.J. Horse Training and he was also employed by Severance Enterprises of Kane.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Ayla Reata Glynn of Highland; his mother, Beth Glynn (Lon Merrill) of Riverton, Wyoming; a twin brother, Jamie Glynn (Clover) of Interior, S.D.; a nephew, Nelson Neil Glynn of Interior, S.D.; grandparents, Art and Joyce Glynn of Rapid City, S.D..; and by several aunts and uncles.
He was predeceased by his great-grandparents, Harry and Lila Griswold and Mike and Gladys Glynn.
A Memorial Service for Jason Glynn will be held in the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at 12 p.m. noon. Officiating will be Mr. Loren Conklin. Friends will be received at the funeral home for one-half hour prior to the service (11:30 am).
