He was a retired heavy equipment operator and was a member of Operating Engineers Union Local #66 for 58 years. He was also a member of the PA Pony Pulling Assoc. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Highland, McCandless Twp.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Hohman, whom he married September 24, 1949; son, Charles Hohman of Crestview, FL; 2 daughters, Sandra Link of Portales, NM & Kathy Laue of Connoquenessing Twp. ; 2 brothers, Earl Hohman &Roy Hohman, both of Cranberry Twp. ; 4 sisters, Lucy Logan of Ross Twp., Jane Schmidt of McCandless Twp., Betty Layden of Allison Park & Wilma Gruver of Ross Twp. Also 7 grandchildren & 1 great-granddaughter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Friends will be received 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday & Friday at Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Svcs., Inc., 130 Wisconsin Avenue, Cranberry Twp. .

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 14 at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the St. John´s Lutheran Church Of Highland Cemetery, McCandless Twp.

Born December 22, 1923 in New Kensington, PA, she was the daughter of the late John F & Martha (Broad) Hasson. Mrs. Bowers was a member of English Lutheran Church and former member of the Traveler´s Club.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Stacy S. Dambaugh of Wilmington, DE & Tanis A. Fox of Ellwood City, PA; also a sister, Eva Fitzgerald of Pompano Beach, FL & 5 grandchildren.

Mr. Zmudzinski was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Cranberry Twp., & Local Union #37 of Roofers, Waterproofers, & Bricklayers.

He is survived by wife, Lois E. (Braun) Zmudzinski whom he married Aug. 12, 1972; 2 daughters, Denise Moser & her husband Jeff of Cranberry Twp. & Tammie T. Bachman & her husband David of N. Carolina; son, George E. Smith & his wife Denise of Cranberry Twp., a sister, Mary Margaret Burns of Masontown; 2 brothers, James Rogers of Cranberry Twp., & John Logan of California; 4 grandchildren, April, Tara, Tyler, & Rylie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandchildren, Angel & Jacob & sisters, Beatrice & Theresa.

She is survived by a daughter, Bobbie K. Bintrim of Harmony, a son, Marshall D. Reed of Waldorf, MD, 6 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald W. Robert W. "Bob" Hollerman

Robert W. “Bob” Hollerman, age 86, of Harmony, formerly of Mercer Road, New Brighton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 1, 2004.

Born March 5, 1918 in Middle Lancaster, he was the son of the late William & Nellie Belle (Moyer) Hollerman. Mr. Hollerman was a life-long member of Zion Lutheran Church, Middle Lancaster where he was head usher for 26 years and Chairman of the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery Association. He was a retired Police Captain with the Pennsylvania Railroad and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in the Beaver Valley. Mr. Hollerman was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather and an avid hunter, fisherman and skilled carpenter.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandy Mandeville & her husband John of Charlotte, NC; 3 grandchildren: Sarah Mandeville of Oklahoma City, John Mandeville & his wife, Tiffany of Russell, PA, Robert “Bob” Mandeville of Warren, PA and 1 great granddaughter: Madison MandevilleBrother-in-law of: Blaine & Betty Shidemantle, Doris Schott, Hazel White, Margaret Schott, Helen Schott, Irene Schott, & Dave Gibson He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.

He was a US Navy WWII veteran and member of the Mars VFW Post #7505 and Cranberry Elks Lodge #2249.

He is survived by his wife, Florence Caruso whom he married Sept. 27, 1947; 2 brothers, William Caruso of California, & Antonio Caruso, Jr. of Ben Salem, PA; 2 sisters, Margaret Fasticusa of Bethel Park & Rose Markusic of Tuscin, CA

He was predeceased by a sister, Isabel Caruso.

Daniel G. Veith

Born February 2, 1934 in Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late Rev. Loran W. & Ruth (Gardner) Veith. Mr. Veith was a member of the Spiritualistic Church of Meadeville, PA, & was a member of the Zelienople American Legion, Butler County FOP #107, National Rifle Assn., & Life-Member of Harmony Volunteer Fire Company. Mr. Veith was a U. S. Navy Veteran & he had been a Deputy Sheriff in Butler County for 22 years. He was an avid hunter and participated in a number of Pow Wow´s.

He is survived by his wife, Claudia Jean “CJ” Veith of Harmony; a daughter, Sue Bland of Harmony; 4 sons, Daniel Veith Jr. of Boyers, Scott Veith, Michael Veith of Butler, & Timothy Veith of Morgantown, WV; a brother, Loran William Veith of Florida; 4 sisters, Caroline Wheaton of Zelienople, Mary Tait of Cranberry Twp., Esther Ziegler of Evans City, & Lois Taylor of Florida. Also survived by 4 grandchildren.

Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Svcs., Inc., 219 E. Grandview Avenue, Zelienople where funeral services will follow Tuesday evening at 8 PM.

Simons whom she married Aug. 29, 1945; daughter, Patricia Riggs & her husband Larry of Sparta, MI; son, Larry Simons of Canterbury, CT; sister, Mildred Chiazzi of Phoenix, AZ; 5 brothers, John, Bill, Bob, Frank, & Jim Draskovic of West Middlesex. Also survived by special aunt & uncle, Margaret & Frank Capan of Cranberry Twp., 5 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren.

George E. Kmetz

Mr. Kmetz was a surveyor for Chester Engineers in Pittsburgh & retired from the PA Liquor Control Board. He was a member of the Amateur Ham Radio Club & a former member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Rochester. Mr. Kmetz worked as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for 10 years.

He is survived by a sister, Helen Shaw of Florida. Also survived by many nieces & nephews.
