Born October 6, 1915 in Kaylor, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Edgar O. Anderson and Edith Bartley.

He was a Crane Operator in the Hot Mill at Armco Steel. He was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Mr. Anderson was a Veteran of the U. S. Navy and WW II. He served his term of duty in the South Pacific on the USS Ardent. He was a charter member of the Mercer Road Fire Company, former scout master of troop 27 and was co-owner with his wife of Anderson's Ceramics, Hansen Avenue.

Surviving are his wife, Alma L. (Karnes) Gannon Anderson whom he married March 21, 1984, a daughter, Sandra Christofano and her husband Carl, Step-Daughter, Judy Scott-Rhodaberger and her husband Kenneth, Step-Son, Grahel V. Gannon, all of Butler, Pennsylvania, Four Grandchildren, Terri J., Philip, Michael and John Christofano, Five Step-Grandchildren,Shanda Neff, Laural and Rachel Gannon, Quentin Scott and Kristopher Rhodaberger, Three Great-Grandchildren, Alexandra Jockmann, Michael and Nicole Christofano, Two Step Great-Grandchildren, Sarah Archer and Zacharri Rennick, Brother, James Anderson of Arizona, and Number of Nieces and Nephews.

Preceding him in death was his first wife Olive E. (Daubenspeck) Anderson on January 10, 1978, three sisters and three brothers.

Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, on Tuesday, August 5, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., on Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at 8:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.

Memorial donations may be made to Butler Area Public Library, 218 North McKean Street, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001.

Charles Ross Jewart

February 21, 1950 - August 11, 2003

Born August 27, 1928 in Chicora, PA, he was the son of Lawrence Jewart and Sarah Elizabeth Wall.

He worked as a Steel Worker for Steel. He was a member of Former Scout Master Of Troop #30 Oakland Twp. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Alumni of Butler High School class of 1948.

Surviving are his wife, Ethel M. Ellenberger, Wife, whom he married February 23,1950 Ethel M. Jewart Daughter, Mrs. Michael( Deborah) Markiw Daughter, Mrs. Scott (Sherri) McCarty Son, John Jewart Daughter In-law, Mary Anne Jewart Son, David Jewart Son, James Jewart, Eleven Grandchildren Sister, Mrs. Clyde E.(Arabell) Moore Sister, Mrs. Dean R.( Mary ) Adams Sister, Mrs.WyndleL.( Rose Marie) Watson Sister, Mrs. Benny L.(Ruth Ann) McDanel Sister, Mrs. Ronald L.(Donna Mae) Lingle Sister, Linda L. Chupka Brother, Kenneth Dean Jewart Brother, Donald Jewart Brother, Clair Jewart, A Number of Nieces & Nephews.

Preceding him in death were his one infant Sister.

Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, from 7-9 P.M. Sunday August 10, 2003 and 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Monday August 11, 2003.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday August 12, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in North Butler Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Ronald Lefever

December 29, 1925 - August 13, 2003

Ronald L. Lefever, 77, of Butler passed peacefully into eternity Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 29, 1925, in Renfrew, he was the son of Floyd and Anna Wachsmuth Lefever.

He had been a millwright in the galvanizing department at Armco-Butler Works for 44 years. He was an avid hunter and gardener and enjoyed woodworking.

Mr. Lefever was a member of the Community Alliance Church, where he was active as a former deacon and trustee.

He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Risch Lefever, whom he married June 10, 1949; a son, Ronald B. Lefever and his wife Sandie of Butler; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Donald Bost of Irwin, Nancy and Frank Caliguri of Lower Burrell and Darlene and Louis Butern of Sarver; nine grandchildren, Megan and Adam Bost, Kelli and Chrissy Caliguri, George and Tiffany Hyek, Vinnie Butera and Ashley and Hunter Lefever; and a great-grandchild, Lauren Roche.

Also surviving are two brothers, James and Larrie Lefever, both of Renfrew; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Margie Ifft of Evans City and Doris and Jack Bicehouse of Renfrew; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mildred Blanche Deem Schoenfeld

Mildred Blanche Deem Schoenfeld age 96 of Concordia Lutheran Home, Cabot, Pennsylvania, formerly of Beechwood Blvd. Butler, Pennsylvania, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at 6:10 A.M. in the Concordia Lutheran Home.

Born in Bristol, West Virginia on September 28,1906, She was the daughter of the late Reverend Charles Ezra Deem and Martha Elizabeth Mills.

Mrs. Schoenfeld was a homemaker and a long-standing member of the First United Methodist Church in Butler.

Mrs. Schoenfeld's husband William W. Schoenfeld preceded her in death on May 29, 1988.

She is survived by one Son: Dr. C. Deem Schoenfeld of Middlebury, Vermont, nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, one sister: Mrs. Ruth Hedgpath of Tulsa, Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two sons Robert E. Schoenfeld and Richard W. Schoenfeld, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends and family of Mildred Deem Schoenfeld will be received on Friday, August 29, 2003 at THE THOMPSON-MILLER FUENRAL HOME INC. 124 EAST NORTH ST. BUTLER, PA from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Funeral Services will follow from the Funeral Home at 4:00 P.M. with Reverend J. David Panther of The First United Methodist Church Officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Memorial Fund at the First United Methodist Church, 200 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001.

Margaret Opal "Peggy" Cherry

Surviving are her husband Jeffrey Lynn Cherry of Nettleton, MS, a Son, Aaron Lynn Cherry of Nettleton, MS, a Step-Daughter, Tiffany Cherry Toth of Butler, PA, a Granddaughter, Joslyn Toth of Butler, PA, three Sisters, Mrs. Jeffrey (Cathy) Hare of Ashland, PA, Mrs. Kim (Amy) Kochanek of Port Angeles, WA, and Betsy Kidwell of Meadville, PA, two Brothers, Ben Kiter and Glenn Kiter, and her Mother, Eleanor Hamilton Kiter of Meadville, PA.

Preceding her in death were her Father and her Stepfather, Clarence Kiter.

Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, from Sunday August 31, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 and Monday September 1, 2003 at the Faith Fellowship Alliance Church from 10-11 AM.

Services will be held at the Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, Monday September 1, 2003 at 11:00 AM Interment will be at the Butler County Memorial Park on Tuesday September 2, 2003.

She had retired as a housekeeper for Evergreen Nursing Center and had formerly worked for Vic Nor Farms.

Mrs. Shaner was a member of Butler Wesleyan Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons, William F. Shaner of Renfrew and Richard Shaner of Capron, Va.; three daughters, Evelyn Frankenstein of Zelienople, Mary Belles of Evans City and Margie Fend of Butler; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was a member of Christ Community United Methodist Church. He was an avid golfer and former member of Armco Country Club. Following retirement he spent part of his residence in Clearwater, Florida.

Surviving are his second wife, Martha Smail McBride, two sons and their wives, Bruce and Marilyn Jean McBride, Keith and Judy McBride of Butler, Pennsylvania, one daughter and her husband, Robert E. and Joan H. Dickinson of Harlansburg, Pennsylvania, seven Grandchildren, Debra McBride Grigorovich, Sharon McBride Dishop, Marcia McBride Rullman, Colleen McBride Habbyshaw, Christie McBride, Tricia Dickinson Uber, and Bryan R. Dickinson, Ten Great-Grandchildren, Erin Grigorovich, Claudia and Cole McBride-Sloboda, Michele, Danielle and Patrick Dishop, Heather and Kristina Rullman, Derek Meals and Justin Kennedy, a number of Nieces and Nephews and special friends James and Doris Rooks of Butler, Pennsylvania.
