She was 97 years old. Janet was born November 6, 1906 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Allen Stecher and the late Mary Stecher (nee - Love).

She is the wife of the late Willard Hopkins; mother of Dolores C. Barron and Willard R. Hopkins; grandmother of five; great grandmother of eight.

Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation Friday, October 1, 2004, from 1:30 to 2:00 P.M. and to her funeral service at 2:00 P.M. at the Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 North Easton Road, Willow Grove. Interment was private.

In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Luther Woods Convalescent Center, 313 W. County Line Rd., Hatboro, PA 19040.

The Rev. Dr. Francis J. Shea

April 27, 1937 - September 2, 2004

The Rev. Dr. Francis J. Shea of Rydal, Pennsylvania Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Thursday, September 2, 2004 at his residence. He was 67 years old. Frank was born April 27, 1937 in Havertown, Pennsylvania, son of the late Joseph G. Shea and the late Virginia Shea (nee - Jones).

He is the survived by his wife Eileen Shea (nee Froggatt); father of Madeleine (nee Shea) McKnight, Joseph Shea, Francis Shea Jr., Paul Shea and Monica (nee Shea) Glick; brother of Fr. John Shea O.S.A., Fr. James Shea and Mary Shea; grandfather of five. He is a beloved husband, father, grandfather and pastor.

Frank grew up in Havertown, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. He earned his High School Diploma in 1955 from the Augustinian Academy in Staten Island, New York. He graduated from Drexel University in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Natural Science and Physics. Frank graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 1965. He received a Masters Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Temple University Hospital in June of 1970. Frank practiced as a Radiologist at Temple University Hospital from 1970 to 1996. He served as Chairman of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging from 1987 to 1996.

In May of 1994 Frank’s theological training was completed with a Master of Divinity Degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary of Philadelphia. He was ordained into the priesthood June 8 of 1996 and was installed as Rector of The Memorial Church of the Holy Nativity in Rockledge, Pennsylvania in July 1997.

Music played a great part in Frank’s life. He enjoyed it immensely and supported the vocal arts.

Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation Saturday, September 11, 2004, from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. and to his Memorial Eucharist at 10:00 A.M. at Memorial Church Of The Holy Nativity, 205 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge. Interment at Memorial Church Of The Holy Nativity Mausoleum followed the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Holy Nativity Church Stained Glass Fund, 205 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.

Frank Speeder

October 18, 1924 - September 2, 2004

He was 79 years old. Frank was born October 18, 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Frank Speeder Sr. and the late Mary Speeder (nee - Rudowski).

He is the beloved husband of 49 years to Marie C. Speeder (nee - Kowasa); father of Frank M., Lynn Marie and Lisa K. Speeder.

Frank was a Mummer for 68 years, he was recently with Joseph A. Ferko String Band. He was a W.W.II Navy Veteran and a retiree of the ASO.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing Tuesday, September 7, 2004, from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. and to his funeral mass at 10:30 A.M. at Presentation B. V. M. Church, 100 Old Soldiers Road, Cheltenham. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham Avenue, Cheltenham followed the funeral mass.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Mummer’s Museum, 1100 South Second Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147-5497.

Harold L. Whittaker - "Hal"

April 30, 1923 - September 30, 2004

He is the beloved husband of 50 years to Esther Whittaker (nee - DiGuilio); father of Harold L. Whittaker Jr., Renee Haney and her husband Bill and David Whittaker and his wife Pat; grandfather of Zachary and Sabrina Haney and Samantha and David Whittaker Jr.; brother of Delbert Whittaker.

Harold was President of National Collection and Credit Control in Wyncote. He was a member of Lulu Temple Shrine and past president of the Motor Unit, he was also a member of Williamson - Corinthian Lodge #368 F. & A. M.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewings Sunday, October 3, 2004, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Monday, October 4, 2004, form 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. and to his funeral service at 10:00 A.M. at the Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 North Easton Road, Willow Grove. Interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Stenton Avenue and Butler Pike, Plymouth Meeting followed the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Research Center, 640 Jackson Street, St. Paul, MN 55101.

Deborah Ann Coia

April 21, 1952 - September 3, 2004

She is the sister of Janice Patricia, Curtis Thomas and his wife Mary, Kenneth John and his wife Darlene, Christine Mary Ross, Mari-beth, Michael Anthony and his wife Kristine Coia. She is also survived by her niece and six nephews.

Deborah was a Pension Plan Administrator for Prudential Insurance for over 30 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing Tuesday, September 7, 2004, from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. and to her funeral mass at 10:00 A.M. at St. Maria Goretti, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield. Interment at St. John Neumann Cemetery, 3797 County Line Road, Chalfont followed the funeral mass.

Ann W. Dornan - "Nancy"

Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation Thursday, September 9, 2004, from 10:30 to 11:00 A.M. and to her funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 919 Tennis Avenue, Maple Glen. Interment was private.

William B. Ahlers, Sr.

January 17, 1912 - September 6, 2004

William B. He is the beloved husband of the late Grace W. Ahlers; father of William B. Ahlers, Jr., Charles E. Ahlers and Ruth A. Day. He is also survived by his four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

William was born and raised in Philadelphia and attended the old Northeast High School in the city. He worked for many years as a tool and die maker. His last employer was Aztec Machine Shop in Ivyland, PA. He had lived for many years on Smithfield Avenue in far northeast Philadelphia until moving to Annapolis, Maryland to be with his daughter.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing Friday, September 10, 2004, from 11:30 to 1:00 P.M. and to his funeral service 1:00 P.M. at the Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 6902 Rising Sun Avenue, Philadelphia. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 West County Line Road, Feasterville followed the the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, Maryland 21401.
