Ellen L. Mrs. DeGroat was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Department of Education and attended St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Penbrook. She was the widow of Cletus M. DeGroat and was preceded in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death by one grandchild. She is survived by three daughters Regina Leonard of Middletown, Priscilla E. Steger of Leesport, and Linda M. English of Harrisburg. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, November 16th at Hetrick funeral home with interment in Resurrection Cemetery, West Hanover Twp.

Murray E. Kline,
84, of Camp Hill Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Saturday, June 29, 2002 at Holy Spirit Hospital.
He was a retired Machinist for the Pennsylvania Rail Road.
Surviving are one son, Hurley E. Kline of Camp Hill; one daughter, Luzetta Kline Jett of Alabama; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Frank M. Kostyal,
87, of Harrisburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Wednesday, March 27, 2002 in Community General Osteopathic Hospital.
He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II; a Bronze Star recipient; and a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Penbrook, and the American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Rita F. Kostyal; a daughter, Valerie A. Cap of Dillsburg; and a granddaughter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 2, 2002 in his church. Private Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
Hetrick Funeral Home, Susquehanna Twp., is handling arrangements.
Memorials may be made to his church, 2848 Herr St., Harrisburg, PA 17103, or to any charity.

Alverta Mae Shugars,
of Susquehanna Township Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Monday July 16, 2001 at her home.
She was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Lower Paxton Twp. She was active in Dauphin County politics for many years and was a volunteer and leader in many political campaigns. She was a Republican committee-woman and Chairperson of the Susquehanna Township Republican Committee. She was one of the founders of the Susquehanna Township Girl's Summer Softball League. She was also a coach and sponsored a team.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond F. Shugars; two sons, John M. Shugars and companion Christine Arnold, son Mark G. Shugars and wife Karen L. Shugars; three daughters, Candy Shugars-Pavusik and husband Steven Pavusik, Cuppy E. Shugars and companion Joanne Carroll, and Jennifer F. Shugars, all of Harrisburg; three brothers, Leon B. Ulrich of Dauphin, Marlin G. Ulrich of Linglestown, and Serell I. Ulrich of Fishing Creek; and one sister, Joyce A. Gladney and companion Craig Stephenson of Harrisburg. Also surviving are three grandchildren.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 19th, 11:00 A.M. at her church.
There will be a viewing Wednesday evening, July 18th from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Hetrick Funeral Home, Susquehanna Twp. with a Prayer Service at 8:00 P.M.

Mary Anderson,

She was a retired empolyee of the Pennsylvania State Hospital. She was a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church, Susquehanna Twp., and of the AFSCME, Chapter # 13.
She was the widow of Evan G. Anderson. She is survived by two nieces; Beverly Hoak of New Cumberland, and Elaine Levin of Mechanicsburg.
Funeral Services will be Friday, August 24 at 10:00 A.M. at Hetrick Funeral Home, Susquehanna Twp.
There will be a visitation Friday from 9:00 - 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Shoop's Cemetery, Lower Paxton.

William Homer Barrett,

He was a retired estimator of Novinger, Inc., a member of Progress Immanuel Presbyterian Church, a World War II Air Corp Veteran, a member of the Harrisburg Lodge 629 F&AM, Harrisburg Consistory, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Forest 43, Lawnton VFW Post 0998, Colonial Country Club, a lifetime member of the Construction Specification Institute, an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer.
Surviving are his wife, Laura E; two daughters, Lauren L. Barrett of Harrisburg, Debra A. Leader of Harrisburg; one brother, James Allen Barrett of Camp Hill; one sister, Mary Lou Finn of Virginia; three grandchildren, Michael, Rebecca and Hayley.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at Hetrick Funeral Home, Inc. There will be a viewing from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations can be made to his church, 3640 Ash Street, Harrisburg, PA 17109.

Nelson Estupinan Bass,
89, of Quito Ecuador, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died on Friday, March 1, 2002 at the Hershey Medical Center. He was in this area to participate in events jointly sponsored by Penn State Capital College, in Middletown and the local Hispanic community. He and his wife, Luz Argentina Chiriboga de Estupinan, delivered lectures on topics related to African roots in Ecuadorian culture.
Estupinan Bass, a nominee for the Nobel Prize in Literature, was the recipient of the Eugenio Espejo Prize, the highest honor for literature awarded in Ecuador and the Cuban Prize for Ethics in Literature. He was a member of the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language.
He is survived by his wife, Luz Argentina Chiriboga de Estupinan; one son, Lincoln, of Stockholm, Sweden; one sister, Edilma Estupinan, of Esmeraldas and seven grand-children.
A tribute to his life as a scholar, poet, and creative artist will be held on Friday, March 8, 2002 at 5:30 P.M. in the Morrison Gallery, in the library of Penn State Capital College in Middletown.
Donations may be made in the name of Nelson Estupinan Bass to the Director of Development, Hershey Medical Center, 800 University Road, Hershey, PA 17033.

Jessica A. Batdorf,

She was an 8th grade student at the school. She was a member of the Vocal Ensemble and the Student Council. She enjoyed roller skating and loved her friends dearly.
She is survived by her parents Steven C. and Dawn M. Batdorf, her sister Heather L. Batdorf also at home, her maternal grandmother Joanne Bahm of Shellsville and a paternal grandmother Allegra Batdorf of Lebanon.
There will be a viewing Friday, April 26 from 7 - 9:00 P.M. at the Hetrick Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut St., Susquehanna Twp. with a prayer service at 8:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.

M. Earl Berkheimer
M. Earl Berkheimer, 93, of Quincy Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">passed away Monday, January 12, 2004 at Waynesboro Hospital.
He was born December 18, 1910 in Mechanicsburg to J. Harry Berkheimer and Cora Kutz.
He was a retired Supply Systems Analyst for the Navy Supply Depot. a WW II Army veteran, a member of Stevens Memorial United Methodist Church. Mr. Berkheimer was a Mason, a member of the Harrisburg Consistory and the Zembo Temple. He was a graduate of Shippensburg State Teacher's College.
Surviving are two nephews Henry E. of Williamsport, and John D. of Bangor, three nieces Carolyn B. Rosser of Williamsport, Doris B. Finch of Gettysburg, and Nancy B. Waters of Harrisburg.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M. Friday, January 16, 2004 at the funeral home with viewing from 12:00 Noon until time of service. Rev. Bruce Smay will officiate. Interment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Quincy Village, Quincy, PA 17247.

Roy Rockelkamp, Sr.,
74, of Penbrook, formerly of Lower Paxton Twp., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Sunday, March 24, 2002 in his home.
He was retired from Nabisco, a member of United Church of God, former church council member, member of Seekers Sunday School Class, former board member of Penn Garden Civic Club, former member of Paxton AA, a teener baseball coach and Republican committee member of Lower Paxton Twp. 13th precinct.
Surviving are two sons, Roy Jr. of Etters and Mark of Susquehanna Twp.; a daughter, Amy Bashore of Lower Paxton Twp.; and ten grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at Hetrick Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church, 1211 Fairmont Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17112.
