Miss Crum was a native of Penbrook, a daughter of Joseph Luther and Edna R. Smeltzer Crum. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Penbrook, Rockville Bridge American Business Women, the Penbrook Golden Age Club, and the Susquehanna Township Golden Age Club. She retired from Nationwide Insurance. Survivors include a brother Warren G. Crum of West Chester, PA, and thirteen nieces and nephews. Three brothers John P., J. Edward, and Luther H. Crum preceded Miss Crum in death. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Saturday, January 8th at her church with visitation from 10:00 A. M. until time of service. Interment will be in Shoop's Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to her church at 2730 Booser Ave., Harrisburg, PA 17103. Hetrick Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut Street, Harrisburg, in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy Myers Deppen
July 14, 1915 - Apr. 4, 2003
Dorothy Myers Deppen, 87, of Middletown Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Friday, April 4th at Holy Spirit Hospital.
She retired from This Months Magazine, Lititz, was a member of the Harrisburg Civic Club, Colonial Park United Church of Christ, and volunteered at Dauphin Manor Nursing Home.
She is the widow of Joseph W. Deppen and is survived by two sons John J. of Newport, James W. of Camp Hill, one daughter Jane M. Maxwell of Mechanicsburg, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service is 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, April 8th at the funeral home with visitation from 10:00 A. M. until time of service. Interment will be in East Harrisburg Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1019 Mumma Rd., Wormleysburg, PA 17043.

Jean Stricker Einzig

Jean was born January 3, 1920, daughter of the late Esther Kyle and Edward Clay Stricker. She was married March 1, 1941 to Fred who preceded her in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death on September 23, 2003. Jean is survived by three daughters and their families - Susan and James Hetrick of Mechanicsburg and their children Kyle (married to Cara) and Emily; Megan and John Abbott of Bethlehem, PA and their children Elizabeth (married to Jay Broniak) and John; and Jill and Charles Liles of Halifax, and their children Rachel, Sarah, and Thomas. She is also survived by her brother, Edward C. Stricker, of Harrisburg.
Jean was a graduate of the former William Penn High School, Harrisburg. She retired from the Department of Education where she was an executive secretary. She was a member of Saint Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church, Harrisburg.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations me made in Jean's name to the Alzheimer's Association, Suite 205, 3544 North Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

Andrew Bruce Griffiths

Memorial service will be 11:00 A. M. Monday, June 7th at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Penbrook with Reverend Elizabeth Polanzke, officiating. There will be a visitation from 10:00 A. M. until time of service.

Memorial service will be 3:00 P. M. Monday, December 30th at St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 118 State Street, Harrisburg.

Victoria Hamaker

She is the widow of Edward Hamaker and is survived by two sons John E. of Dillsburg, PA, David E. of Ellicott City, MD, three daughters Mary Ann Chaney and Nancy L. Panzerelli both of Severn, MD, Elaine V. Wasielevski of Mechanicsburg, four sisters Julie Porter and Dorothy Grenier of Harrisburg, Cornelia Sheaffer of Mechanicsburg, Helen Suciu of Dillsburg, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Wednesday, August 27th at the funeral home. Viewing will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M. Interment will be in Shoop's Cemetery.

Eva H. McGill
Eva H. McGill, 78, of Lower Paxton Township, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at her home.
She graduated from the Dress Design School of Hungary. She and her parents emigrated from Hungary following the Russian invasion. Churches in the State College area where they had residence sponsored them. Mrs. McGill was the widow of John S. McGill, whom she met and married while he was a student at Penn State University. She loved to travel, especially in Europe, and has returned many times to Hungary to visit friends and family. She was a member of St. Patrick's Cathedral in Harrisburg.
Several nieces and cousins survive her.
A prayer service will be held 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, June 10th at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Pine Hall Cemetery in State College. There will be no viewing.

Millie C. Miller
Millie C. Miller, 97, of Harrisburg Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died at Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg, on July 6, 2004. Millie was born in Wiconisco, PA on April 23rd, 1907 to Bertha and Claude Minnich. She graduated from Wiconisco Twp School in 1923 and completed her studies at Shippensburg Normal School in 1925. She spent most of her career teaching elementary children, specializing in second grade. During 1941-43 she taught illiterate soldiers at Middletown Army Depot and in 1955 was asked to work at Central Dauphin High School where she coached the girl's basketball team and marching chorus. Returning to elementary work, she retired from E. H. Phillips School in 1969. She attended the former Stevens Memorial United Methodist Church. Surviving are her sister, Betty M. Christ of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Christee Lee Bender of Carlisle, Richard Crossland of N. Wildwood, NJ and Jeffrey Crossland of Virginia Beach, Va.; five great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Memorial services will be Friday at 2 pm at Hetrick Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut Street, Harrisburg. There will be a visitation from 1 pm to 2 pm at the funeral home. Arrangement made by Hetrick Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut Street, Harrisburg. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to your favorite charity.

Blanche A. Ralph Stanley Snyder

He retired as the Maintenance Engineer for the Lebanon VA Hospital, was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Palmyra, Lebanon Elks, Quigley-Baun American Legion Post #78, and was a past-president of the Palmyra Volunteer Fire Company.
Surviving is his son Gregory Snyder of Harrisburg.
Graveside service with full military honors will be held 1:30 P. M. Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Reverend C. Alvin Cott will be officiating.

James B. Vaughan, Sr.
James B. Surviving is his wife Shirley M., two sons Michael E. of Corona, CA, and Richard S. of Enola, two daughters Susan D. Yanoviak of Lewisberry and Donna L. Stump of Carlisle, two brothers Daniel A. of Mechanicsburg and James A. of Rutherford. Also surviving are seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 9:00 A. M Friday, June 6th at his church. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewing will be from 7:00 to 9:00 P. M. Thursday at the funeral home.
