Following cremation, Burial will be in St. Agatha Cemetery.

David Milton McGonigle
11/16/05 - CONNEAUT LAKE - David Milton McGonigle of 11491 E. First St., Conneaut Lake, formerly of Beaver, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">passed away at 3:35 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, at Meadville Medical Center after a courageous two-and-one-half-year battle with cancer. He was 71.
Dave was born Aug. 16, 1934, in New Castle, a son of the late J. Bradley McGonigle and Margaret Hogue McGonigle.
He was raised in New Castle and was a member of the New Castle High School Class of 1952. He received an associate degree from Youngstown State University and was an alumnus of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Dave retired in 1999 after 32 years as a district sales manager for the Dietzgen Corp. in Pittsburgh. Following his retirement, Dave and his wife spent their summers at Conneaut Lake and winters in Bonita Springs, Fla.
He was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Catholic Church, Conneaut Lake.
Dave was an avid golfer and a former member of Seven Oaks Country Club, Beaver. He also enjoyed boating and was an accomplished water skier in his youth and well into his retirement. He enjoyed relaxing by playing the piano and spending time with friends and family.
Dave was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Army in post-war Korea as well as Washington, D.C., as a member of the Presidential Honor Guard.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, the former Helen Jendrysik, whom he married July 22, 1961, in the former Madonna Church, New Castle; two sons, Attorney David F. McGonigle, husband of Therese (Tracy) McGonigle, of Mt. Lebanon, and Neil C. McGonigle of Crafton; four grandchildren, Megan, Kevin, Molly and Annie McGonigle; two brothers, J. Bradley McGonigle, husband of Mary Ellen McGonigle, of Hermitage, and Martin P. McGonigle, husband of Kathleen McGonigle, of New Castle; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou McGonigle and Sophie Zarone, both of New Castle; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, including Bradley, whose frequent visits Dave enjoyed during the last few years.
Besides his parents, four brothers, infant Richard McGonigle, James H. McGonigle, Shawn T. McGonigle and Harold M. McGonigle, preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Family House, 5245 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh, Pa. 15232.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church, New Castle, with the Rev. Glenn Whitman, pastor of St. Joseph’s Church, Sharon, as celebrant.
Family will receive friends immediately following the Mass.
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Castle.
Arrangements are under the direction of J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
