Rev. James Walter "Pastor Jim" Herman, age 76, of 2462 McCleary Drive Chambersburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died on Friday, June 06, 2008 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born on February 1, 1932 in New Oxford, PA, he was a son of the late John Winfield-Scott Herman and Bessie Mae Mummert Herman.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Jim served as a Chaplain's Assistant in Japan during the Korean Conflict. Retired since 1996, he served as a United Methodist minister at the following Franklin County United Methodist churches: Fannettsburg, Metal, St. Thomas, Ft. Loudon, Edenville, Scotland and Salem. He also ministered at the Christ Community United Methodist Church in Selinsgrove. A member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the Association of Retired Pastors for the Central PA Conference of the U.M. Church, he has served as a Chaplain's Assistant at the Chambersburg Hospital since 2000.
In addition to his normal duties as a pastor, he conducted the Family Life Ministry, which taught Christian principles using illusions and his ventriloquist figure, "Chester." Other memberships included the North American Association of Ventriloquists and the Fellowship of Christian Magicians.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Virginia Daum Herman, whom he married on October 8, 1955; two children, Ann L. (and husband, Kurt) Culbertson of Chambersburg and Mark W. (and wife, Kathy) Herman of Greencastle; two brothers, C. Raymond and J. Richard, both of New Oxford; two sisters, Evelyn Spies of Hedgesville, WV and Ethel Shorb of New Oxford; 9 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Katie, Jesse, Stephen, Paul, Jane, Luke, and Joel Herman, and Emily Culbertson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 in St. Paul United Methodist Church, 750 Norland Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, with the Rev. Dr. Timothy Baer and Rev. Rick Noll officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM in New Oxford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Monday in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, and one hour prior to the service in the church on Tuesday.

Betty H. Mull
December 11, 1920 - June 9, 2008
Betty H. Born December 11, 1920 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late John I. and Eleanor Hoover. Betty was employed at the former People's Drug Store in Chambersburg for forty years. Early in her life she worked at the Olympia Candy Kitchen. She was a member of the Park Avenue United Methodist Church. Her beloved husband, Charles W. Interment will follow in Norland Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Alesandro N. "Nick" Belardinelli
April 16, 1941 - June 5, 2008
Alesandro N. Born April 16, 1941 in Bristol, CT, he was a son of the late Nicola and Katherine Walck Belardinelli. Nick was employed for 37 years with Henkles and McCoy, retiring in July of 2003. A US Army veteran, he was a member of Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion and the Marine Corps League, both in Chambersburg, as well as the South Mountain Fish and Game Club. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he was "Mr. Fix-it" to his family. Nick enjoyed going to breakfast with his friends at the Capital Restaurant and working on cars at Watson's Auto Repair.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Misner Belardinelli; two daughters, Kimberly M. Belardinelli of Chambersburg and Rhonda Belardinelli Mentzer of Fayetteville; two granddaughters, Brittany Defenderfer of Chambersburg and Shalyn Mentzer of Fayetteville; a brother, John Keefer and wife Vi of Orrstown; a sister, Rita Naugle and husband Mike of Fayetteville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 PM Tuesday in Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Private interment with military honors will be in Norland Cemetery.

Gertrude M. Kolnoski
Gertrude M. Kolnoski, 80, of 220 Lehman Avenue, Fayetteville, died, Thursday, Oct. 23 in Shippensburg Health Care Center.
Born March 22, 1923 in Johnsonburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Stella Kasper Kanski. Her husband, Edwin L. She is survived by two daughters, Lynn Earnest of Chambersburg and Kathleen Beaston of Fayetteville, Pa.; two brothers, Bernard Kanski and James Kanski, both of Johnsonburg; four grandchildren and two grandchildren.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Sunday evening from Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg.
A Rosary Service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday evening in the funeral home.

L. Elaine Shearer Machel

L. Born March 1, 1938 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Earl J. and A. Margaret Miller Shearer.
A 1956 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School, Elaine was retired from Letterkenny Army Depot, where she worked as a Supply System Analyst for the Department of the Army. She was a member of King Street United Brethren Church and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees # 1063 in Chambersburg. Elaine was an avid birdwatcher and she enjoyed traveling. A former resident of Hawaii, the islands were a very special place to her.
She is survived by her husband, George E. Machel, whom she married April 27, 1957; a daughter, Nina M. Machel and husband James T. Karcher of Pittsburgh, PA; two grandchildren, J. Christian and Marie Elaine Karcher; and a sister, Marty McKenrick of Madison, AL.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 7, 2008 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. The Rev. Lester F. Stine will officiate. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the funeral home.

Rosemary Maxine Rosenberry
September 28, 1941 - June 3, 2008

Born September 28, 1941 in Franklin County, PA, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Rosella Blubaugh Rosenberry. A 1959 graduate of Greencastle Antrim High School, she went on to graduate from the King's Daughters Hospital School of Nursing in Martinsburg. She was last employed by Berryville Graphics in Berryville, VA as a proofreader, retiring in 2004. Prior to working in Berryville, she had been employed as a registered nurse at West Virginia University Hospital. She had a life-long love of books and animals and enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by a brother, Ronald J. Rosenberry and wife Jean of Waynesboro, PA; a sister, Debora Rosenberry of Boyce, VA; a niece, Marybeth Rosenberry, and a nephew, Michael Rosenberry.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 AM Friday, June 6, 2008 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. Interment will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Katherine “Kitty” Moore Ryder
July 19, 1913 - June 2, 2008

She graduated from high school in Chambersburg and was employed as a bookkeeper with Chambersburg Dairy for forty years. She was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Chambersburg. Harry T. Park Jr.
Harry T. Park Jr., 70, of Chambersburg, died, Wednesday, Oct. 29 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Aug. 16 in Robertsdale, Pa., he was the son of the late Harry T. and Maude Simmons Park. He marriage, Dorothy Cornelius Park on Aug. 18, 1956.
Mr. Park was a Purchasing Agent and Accountant at the former DeRose Industries in Chambersburg, where he worked for more than 30 years.
He served in the US Marines during the Korean War.
He was of the Protestant faith.
Mr. Park was a member of Landis-McLeaf Detachment Marine Corps League and a life member of Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599, both of Chambersburg and a member of Lone Star Hunting Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading and civil war history.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Catherine Ciucci of Everett, Pa.; five brothers, Donald L. Park of Dallastown, Pa., Thomas G. Park of Red Lion, Pa., Kenneth R. Ciucci of York, Pa., David N. Park and Larry E. Park, both of Chambersburg and a number of nieces and nephews.

Doris J. Scott
Doris J. Scott, 61, of 769 Fairground Avenue, Chambersburg, died, Monday, Nov. 10 at her home.
Born June 4, 1942 in Manhattan, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Mark K. and Elsie Blakey Perry. She was preceded in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death by her former husband, Leighton D. Scott Sr.
She obtained her Associate of Arts Degree from Hagerstown Business College.
She retired as a Nurses Aide from South Mountain Restoration Center in 1994, after 25 years of employment. She then worked for the former Citicorp in Hagerstown for approximately seven years until retiring in 2001.
She was a member of Brownsville Church of God in Fayetteville, where she was a minister to the faith in several capacities including teaching Sunday School, working with church youth and founding the Alabaster Box women’s ministry.
She enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by four daughters, Angela M. Harris and Melinda A. Woods, both of Chambersburg, Anita E. Johnson of Tampa, Fla. and Deborah L. Manning of Baltimore, Md.; two sons, Mark E. Scott and Leighton D. Scott Jr., both of Chambersburg; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a number of cousins.
Funeral services will be held in The Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, Friday, Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Victor T. Johnson and Rev. Charles Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
Friends may call fro 6-8 p.m. on Thursday evening and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Brownsville Church of God, 7130 Brownsville Road, Fayetteville, Pa. 17222; or American Cancer Society, 452 East King Street, Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.
