Born in Stellarton, Nova Scotia, Canada, a daughter of the late Robert A. and Catherine (Carroll) MacLeod, she had lived in Providence before moving to Warwick 40 years ago. Mrs. Bojdunik had been an assembler at A.T. Cross Co., Lincoln, for many years before retiring and previously had worked at Drake's Bakery. She enjoyed reading and fishing. She leaves a sister-in-law, Stella M. Cunningham of Warwick, and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was the sister of the late George MacLeod, Catherine Harrison and Alice Eley. The funeral service was held in Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. Burial was in Pawtuxet Memorial Park.

Alexander R. Bolvin, 86, of Bayside Avenue, a retired contractor, died December 2, 2003, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the husband of Grace K. (McGinnis) Bolvin. They had been married for 64 years. Born in Bristol, a son of the late John C. and Bridget (Turillo) Bolvin, he had lived in Providence before moving to Warwick in 1954. Mr. Bolvin had been a contractor at Bolvin Homes of Cranston for 20 years before retiring in 1979. He previously had been a polisher at the Bulova Watch Co. A member of the merchant marine during World War II, he was a member of the American Legion, William Shields Jr., Post 43, Warwick. Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Grace K. McNamara of Warwick and Alexis A. Hazard of Warwick and Block Island; two sons, John C. Bolvin of South Haven, MN, and Alexander R. Bolvin Jr. of Providence; two sisters, Mary DeAngelis of Cranston and Theresa Corace in Florida; five brothers, Lawrence A. and Stanley Bolvin, both of Providence, Dr. Michael Bolvin of Warwick and John C. and Richard Bolvin, both of North Providence; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Angelina Bolvin. The funeral was held from Peter J. Gertrude C. Domin, 94, of Edgehill Road, a retired payroll specialist, died November 25, 2003, at Brentwood Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Raymond E. Domin. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Maurice and Anna (Carlson) Anderson, she had resided in Warwick since 1932. Mrs. Domin had been a Comptometer calculating machine operator and a payroll specialist for 30 years at Anaconda Wire, Davol Rubber Co. and Cranston Print Works until retiring in 1971. She was a charter member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. A bowling enthusiast, she had bowled for 30 years in several leagues, including Club 55 at Cranston Bowl. She leaves a son, Robert B. Domin of East Greenwich; four grandchildren, Cheryl, John, Pamela and Candice; and nine great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Roger A. Domin and the sister of the late Walter and Raymond Anderson and Agnes Rice. A service was held in Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Warwick Avenue. Burial was private.

Doris R. Aldrich-Larkin, 91, formerly of Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence, a retired manufacturing inspector, died November 28, 2003, at Mount St. Rita Health Centre, Cumberland. She was the wife of the late Thomas F. Larkin and the late Albert E. Aldrich. Born in Lancaster, Mass., a daughter of the late William A. and Regina M. (Cadrette) Appleton, she had lived in Providence most of her life before moving to Cumberland four years ago. Mrs. Larkin had been an inspector at the Imperial Knife Co. for 14 years before retiring in 1982. She leaves two daughters, Carol Ann Aldrich, RSM, of Providence, and Maureen E. McMullen of Coventry; a son, Thomas F. Aldrich of Naples, FL; two sisters, Evelyn I. Botts and Catherine A. Palombo, both of Warwick; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Doris R. Guay and Edward A. and Richard A. Aldrich and sister of the late Earl, Bernard, William and Eugene Appleton, Marion Edwards and Cleona Suttles. Freddie Guidry, 83, of Firglade Drive, a retired business owner, died November 25, 2003, at home. He was the husband of Aurora A. (Vincent) Guidry. They had been married for 58 years. Born in Lake Charles, LA, a son of the late Silas P. and Sarah A. (Garret) Guidry, he had lived in Rumford before moving to Warwick in 1964. Mr. Guidry was the founder and former owner of Electric Motor Service of Warwick, which he operated for 44 years, retiring in 1985. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific as a chief electrician's mate. He was an avid fisherman. Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Aurora J. Hebert of Tampa, FL; two sisters, Irma Adams and Ruth Ellender, both of Lake Charles; four grandchildren, Thomas W., David A., Christopher P. and Michael J. Uglialoro; and three great-grandchildren. Henry Siravo, 82, of Ann Mary Brown Drive, a retired senior master National Guard sergeant and aircraft maintenance supervisor, died November 27, 2003, at home. He was the husband of Alice M. (Carvalho) Siravo. They had been married for 56 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Flavio and Maria (Ricozzi) Siravo, he had lived in Warwick for 47 years. Mr. Siravo had served in the Rhode Island Air National Guard for 33 years before retiring as a senior master sergeant in 1981. He had been an aircraft maintenance supervisor at T.F. Green Airport and later at Quonset Point and a past vice president of the Association of Civilian Technicians. Mr. Siravo was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific, and was the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the Presidential Citation while serving in the 41st Bombardment Group. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a charter member of the Washington, DC, National World War II Memorial Program. Mr. Siravo enjoyed traveling and walking on the beach and was an animal lover. Besides his wife he leaves three daughters, Deborah M. Vorse of Charlestown, Beverly A. Skillings of East Greenwich and Audrey L. Petrie of Hamburg, NY; two sisters, Jean Lombardi of North Providence and Helen DeFalco of North Lauderdale, FL; two brothers, Eugene Siravo of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Vincent Siravo of West Keansbury, NJ; and two grandchildren, Lisa Marie Vorse and Erick Henry Vorse. John N. Murphy, 79, a retired maintenance worker, died November 25, 2003, at Pawtuxet Village Nursing Home. He was the husband of Jane A. (McCaffrey) Murphy. Born in West Warwick, a son of the late John J. and Ann E. (Winward) Murphy, he had lived in Cranston before moving to Warwick in 1953. Mr. Murphy had been a maintenance worker for the Greenwood House Nursing Home and the Pawtuxet Village Nursing Home for many years before retiring in 1992. He was a Marine veteran of World War II. He was a communicant of St. Kevin Church and was an avid New York Giants fan. Besides his wife he leaves two sons, James P.M. Murphy of Warwick and John J. Sean Murphy of Barrington; a daughter, Jayne E. Murphy-Hurst of Warwick; a sister, Rita Bessette of Royal Palm Beach, FL; and five grandchildren. Elis A. Hanson, 84, of The Seasons, St. Elizabeth Way, East Greenwich, a retired mechanical engineer, died November 25, 2003, at home. He was the husband of the late Ingrid M. (Berglund) Hanson. Born in Worcester, Mass., a son of the late Oscar A. and Esther (Johnson) Hanson, he had lived in North Kingstown, Wilbraham, Mass., and Warwick before moving to East Greenwich last year. Mr. Hanson had worked for several years at Sikorsky Corp., Hartford, Conn., and Intelex Systems, Providence, where he helped build Turnkey, the first automated post office in America. He later worked as a mechanical engineer for the U.S. Postal Service in Springfield, Mass., for 16 years, retiring in 1985. He had also been on the faculty at the University of Oklahoma. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Hanson was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Class of 1955, and a member of Phi Sigma Kappa Paternity. He was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Warwick, Excelsior Lodge 90, Vasa Order of America, the American Union of Swedish Singers, and the Verdandi Male Chorus of Rhode Island. He leaves a son, Allan E. Hanson of Coventry; a daughter, Christina Tina Carlson of North Kingstown; a sister, Doris M. Hanson of Worcester; and two granddaughters, Alana R. and Erica C. Hanson. He was the brother of the late Rolf and Edward Hanson. The funeral service was held in Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1817 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Miss Duffy had been a jewelry assembler for several years in Providence and Bridgeport before retiring. She had formerly worked for Acme Sheers in Bridgeport. She leaves two sisters, Irene H. Chipman of Peace Dale and Jean M. Beckett of Centredale. She was the sister of the late William C., Joseph D. and Marguerite V. Duffy. Richard T. Doc Colgan, Ph.D., of Senator Street, a psychology professor at Bridgewater State College, died November 26, 2003, at Kent County Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Dora (Melucci) Colgan. Born in Chicago, he was a son of the late Vincent and Nina (Haszlik) Colgan. Mr. Colgan was a professor of psychology at Bridgewater State College, where he organized and ran the Psi Chi Society, the national honor society in psychology. He had also taught at Sienna College, Loudonville, NY, and Boston State College. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, IN, he also received his master's degree there. He received his doctorate in psychology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Timothy Colgan of Warwick and Michael Colgan of Charleston, SC; two daughters, Mary Aylor of Denver, CO, and Kathleen Colgan of Houston; two sisters, Rosalie Crawford of Los Angeles and Regina Johnson of Piedmont, CA; and three grandchildren. Joseph Z. Erba, 76, of Manor Drive, a retired warehouse supervisor, died November 26, 2003, at home. He was the husband of the late Dorothea E. (Siravo) Erba. Born in Cranston, a son of the late Zaverio and Isadora (Erba) Erba, he had lived in Warwick since 1949. Mr. Erba had been a warehouse supervisor at Warren Oil Co., Providence, for 20 years before retiring in 1985. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Erba enjoyed auto mechanics and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and was an avid big game hunter and fisherman. He leaves two daughters, Darlene L. Corsi of Warwick and Marilyn M. Erba of Exeter; a son, Joseph Z. (Lafond) Maclure, he had lived in Cranston most of his life. Mr. Maclure had been a correctional officer at the Adult Correctional Institutions for more than 25 years before he retired. (O Dea) Harrington Sr., he had lived in Coventry before moving to West Greenwich 24 years ago. Mr. Harrington had been an auto body technician, working for various automotive concerns, for 40 years before retiring in 1991. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Earle E. Bushman Jr., 82, of Cumberland Road, a retired lawyer, died September 28, 2003, in Kent County Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Irene H. Bushman; they had been married for 60 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Earl E. and Blanche E. (MacDonald) Bushman, he had lived in Warwick for 40 years. He was a graduate of La Salle Academy, Providence College and the University of Notre Dame Law School. Mr. Bushman had been a lawyer for the State Labor Relations Board for 35 years, until retiring in 1981. He previously had been appointed by then-Gov. John O. Pastore to serve as a hearing officer for Workman's Compensation, a post he had held for 10 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Steven E. She was the wife of the late Luigi Feola. Born in Naples, Italy, a daughter of the late John and Candida (Papa) Stabile, she had lived in Warwick for 41 years before moving to Barrington three years ago. Mrs. Feola had been a seamstress for State Upholstery, in Cranston, before retiring in 1983. In 1985, at the age of 77, she graduated from the Continuing Education Program in Warwick, receiving her high-school diploma. Mrs. Feola was a past councilor of the Ladies Auxiliary of the United Commercial Travelers, in Johnston. She was a member of the Warwick Senior Citizens Center. She leaves a son, Anthony L. Feola of East Providence; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Angela C. Erben, and sister of the late Dora DiFillippo and Carmen and Anthony Stabile. Born in Lisbon, Conn., a daughter of the late Ernest and Edith (Lindall) Blake, she had lived in the Natick section of Warwick most of her life. She was a 1937 graduate of the University of Rhode Island, where she earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in education. Mrs. Padula had been a teacher in the Warwick School Department for 43 years, until retiring in 1980 from Cedar Hill Elementary School. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. Mrs. Padula was a former member of the Valley Country Club and the Kent County Ladies Auxiliary. She leaves a son, Stephen Padula, and a daughter, Carol A. Padula, both of West Warwick; a sister, Norma Hill of Coventry; two grandsons, Stephen and Ronald Padula; and two great-grandsons, Kyle and Zachary Padula. She was the sister of the late Ellsworth, Homer and David Blake, Phyllis Morton, Ruth Poncelet and Fredelle Corbin. The funeral was held in the Prata Home, 78 Providence St., West Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church, Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery, Coventry.

Alice T. Murphy - 9/22/2003
Alice T. Murphy, 78, formerly of Abbott Street, Providence, died September 22, 2003, at Grandview Nursing Center, Cumberland. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John J. and Alice E. (Smythe) Murphy, she had lived in Providence for most of her life before moving to Cumberland 23 years ago. Miss Murphy was a communicant of Holy Name Church. She leaves four nieces, Barbara A. Murphy of Plainfield, Ill., Judith E. Murphy of Rehoboth, Joan E. Murphy of Pawtucket and Janice L. Atherly of Wakefield; a nephew, Gerald I. Murphy Jr. of Tolland, Conn.; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was the sister of the late John J. Murphy Jr., and Edward J., Gerald T., Margaret M. and Mary M. Murphy, and Gertrude F. Hopkins. The funeral was held from Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Lady Chapel of Holy Name Church, Camp Street, Providence. Burial was in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Carolyn Ann White, 53, of Lambert Lind Highway, a caretaker for many years, died September 18, 2003, at home. Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Majorie M. (Gunn) White, she had lived in Warwick for 12 years.. She leaves three brothers, Thomas White of Boston, Kenneth White Sr. in Pennsylvania and Russell Gunn Sr. of Cranston; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held in Solid Rock Church, 1753 Phenix Ave., Cranston.
