Lona Quinn Bishop
ORANGEBURG - Lona Quinn Bishop, 95, formerly of Gaffney, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, in the Jolley Acres Health Care Center, Orangeburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Lower Fairforest Baptist Church.
The Revs. Jim Cunningham, John Goforth and Mike Frazier will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bishop was a native of Jonesvville. She was a daughter of the late Andrew Walker Quinn and Laura Williams Quinn. She was the wife of the late Claude Bishop.
Survivors include a son, William F. Bishop of Boiling Springs; three daughters, Delia B. Boatright of Aiken, Ann B. Reynolds of Orangeburg and Jane B. Miller of Navasota, Texas; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as the active pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home, Union, today from 7 to 9 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, c/o Cherokee Creek Baptist Church, 502 Buck Shoals Road, Gaffney, 29341.
The body will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. until the hour of service.

Clayton Daglen Anderson
Clayton Daglen Anderson, 78, of 309 Bedford Place, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rivers Funeral Home. The Rev. John Zimmerman will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Mr. Anderson was the husband of Joyce Mimnaugh Anderson.
Friends may call from noon until 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Charles M. Fields
NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. - Charles M. Fields, 61, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church. The Rev. Willie Spann will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the residence of his sister, Liz F. Lee, 105 Arcturus Drive, Aiken, or at the church from 1-2 p.m. Saturday.

Jeffrey Hoyt Grace
COLUMBIA - Jeffrey Hoyt Grace, 27, died Thursday, May 30, 2002.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Shellhouse Funeral Home.
Survivors include his parents, Hoyt and Ann Grace.

Ann Lou McKie
RIDGE SPRING - Ann Lou McKie, 87, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at Crescent Cities Nursing Center, Hyattsville, Md.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Ridge Spring. The Rev. Sim Murray will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. McKie was a daughter of the late James and Mitia Kenner.
Survivors include a daughter, Corine Perry of New York; two grandchildren, Akua Sarr of Wisconsin and Chet Perry of New York; two great-grandchildren, Connie Adams and Ruby Baker, both of New York; two brothers, Joseph Kenner of New Jersey and John Kenner of South Carolina.
Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. until noon Saturday.

Rether Bell Nesbitt
SPRINGFIELD - Rether Bell Nesbitt, 88, of 3331 Surrey Race Road, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at Orangeburg Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Oakey Spring Missionary Baptist Church, Salley. The Revs. Willie Wise III and Monroe Bush Jr. will officiate.
A daughter of the late Murray and Ethel Brooks Clemon, Mrs. Nesbitt was a laundress in the home for more than 40 years. She was a member of Oakey Spring Baptist Church, where she was a member of the usher board and served as matron for many years.
Mrs. Nesbitt was a member of the Pilgrim Chapter No. 7 (Order of the Eastern Star) of Blackville. She was educated in the Orangeburg County Public Schools.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary R. Thomas of Springfield; two sons, T.S. Nesbitt of Anderson and Charles Guest of Orangeburg; two sisters, Mozell Argrow of Springfield and Ethel Williams of Brooklyn, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be the deacons and trustees of Oakey Spring Baptist Church.
Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence.

Patricia Ann Brady
Funeral services for Patricia Ann Sanders Brady, who died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Couchton Baptist Church, Couchton, S.C., with the Rev. Mayhew West officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville.
A native of Sioux City, Iowa, Mrs. Brady was a daughter of the late Albert Sanders and the late Marie Hobbs Sanders. She lived in Aiken for the past 43 years. She was retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglas as a secretary with over 30 years of service. At the time of her death she worked part time for Bear Hollow. Mrs. Brady was a member of Couchton Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Marcie Brady Browers, Aiken; grandchildren, Michael Browers Jr., Kinsee Browers, Zach Browers, Shelby Browers and Ashley Browers; and one great-grandchild, Taylor Browers.
Memorials may be made to Couchton Baptist Church, 3171 Wagener Road, Aiken, S.C. 29801, or the American Diabetes Association, 326 Greene St., Augusta, Ga. 30901.

Violet M. DeWitt
ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. - Violet M. DeWitt, 83, of Elizabethton died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, in Pine Ridge Care Center following a brief illness.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Dr. Don Marshall officiating.
A graveside service and interment will follow the funeral service at Happy Valley Memorial Park.
A native of Sullivan County, she had lived in Elizabethton most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Roby D. May Sr. and Leila Laura Bowers May.
She was a member of First Christian Church of Elizabethton for over 70 years. She was a graduate of Milligan College. Mrs. De Witt was a retired Carter County school teacher from Elizabethton High School, having taught home economics for many years. She was a member of the Carter County Retired Teachers Association. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Survivors include her husband, Lyle DeWitt, one daughter and son-in-law, Arliss and Dr. Richard Reece, Elizabethton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Jan and Carolyn DeWitt, Johnson City, Tenn.; Larry and Sheri DeWitt, Aiken; three sisters; two brothers; 10 grandchildren, T.J. DeWitt, Johnson City, Paul DeWitt, Knoxville, Tenn., Hope DeWitt, Johnson City, Ben DeWitt, Johnson City, Laura DeWitt, Johnson City, Jeff DeWitt, Knoxville, Sarah DeWitt, Clemson, Kristin Reece, Knoxville, Richie Reece, Knoxville, David Reece, Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Wilson was the wife of the late Leonard W. Wilson and daughter of the late William H. Kelley Sr. and the late Fannie Huff Kelley.

Bertha Mae Blocker died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at her residence.
Ms. Blocker, 50, resided at 612 Croft Mill Road.

A native of Aiken, Ms. Blocker was a former employee of P.F.I. Medical Plant in New Jersey.
Survivors include three sisters, Beatrice Nichols and Elouise Blocker, both of Hempstead, N.Y., and Frances Ross, Aiken; and three brothers, Charlie James Blocker, Jacksonville, Fla., and John Henry Blocker and Eddie Blocker, both of Hempstead.
