Anthony F. "Tony" Giacobone, retired insurance agent
BATH - Anthony F. "Tony" Giacobone died Tuesday, April 3, 2001.
Mr. Giacobone resided at 289 Cathy Drive.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Langley Church of God. The Revs. Bennie Burton and Richie Enlow will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Mr. Giacobone was a native of Hoboken, N.J. He was a retired insurance agent with Interstate Life Insurance Co.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the 4th infantry division during World War II.
He was a member of the Langley Church of God.
Surviving are his widow, George Era Matthews Giacobone; two sons, Francis K. Giacobone, Bath, and C. D. "Jack" Giacobone, Beech Island; a daughter, Karen Wall, Graniteville; two sisters, Elvera
Cantey, Augusta, and Josephine Della Valle, Hyde Park, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers will be George Corley, Kyle Corley, Jimmy Drennan, Wayne Roof, Bryan Dyar and Chester Enlow.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Bible Class of the Langley Church of God.
Memorials may be made to the Langley Church of God Building Fund, P.O. Box 797, Langley, S.C.
Friends may call at the residence, from 6-9 p.m. today at Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley, or one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.

Connie Todd Pierce, waitress
MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - Connie Todd Pierce, 44, died Thursday, March 29, 2001, in Middletown.
Chapel services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rowland Funeral Home, North Augusta. The Rev. Jerry T. Matthews will officiate. Burial will be in Pineview Memorial Gardens, North Augusta.
A native of Paola, Kans., Ms. Pierce was a daughter of James F. and Marcia Norris Todd. She was a waitress at the Mayflower Hotel.
Surviving along with her parents are two brothers, Richard Ivan Todd, Bokeelia, Fla., and David Michael Todd, New Ellenton.
Friends may call at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cooper, 8 McKenzie Circle, North Augusta or from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Owen Lee Gunn, welder
ELGIN - Owen Lee Gunn, 44, died Monday, April 2, 2001, at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital, Columbia.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the residence.
A native of New Orleans, Mr. Gunn was a son of the late Willie E. and Joy Carolyn West Gunn. He was a welder.
Surviving are his widow, Ruelene H. Gunn; two step-sons, Chris Potter and Bobby Heiniger, both of Elgin; and a sister, Lavonia Kidman, Idaho Falls, Idaho. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. The South Carolina Cremation & Memorial Society, Aiken, is in charge of arrangements.

Lucile Crouch Henderson
GRIFFIN, Ga. - Funeral services for Lucile Crouch Henderson will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Haisten-Woodlawn Funeral Home, Griffin.
The Rev. Marion Goddard will officiate.
Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Concord, Ga.
Mrs. Henderson, 91, of 1102 Maple Drive, died Friday, March 30, 2001, at Upson Regional Medical Center, Thomaston, Ga.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home or one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.

Thomas M. Niland
MARTINEZ, Ga. - Funeral services for Thomas M. Niland were to be held at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church, Augusta.
Burial was to be in Calvary Cemetery, Aiken.
Mr. Niland, 44, of Crown Mill Drive, died Saturday, March 31, 2001, at Kennestone Hospital, Marietta, Ga.
Honorary pallbearers were to be Greg Palmer, Scott Bethmann, Mark Ferriter, Paul Welsh and Mike Perkins.
Memorials may be made to the CSRA Citadel Club, c/o Paul Welsh, 1589 Edgefield Road, North Augusta, S.C. 29841, or to the St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church Building Fund, 1220 Monte Sano Ave., Augusta, GA 30904.

Mae Pardue, seamstress
BELVEDERE - Mae Pardue died Monday, April 2, 2001.
Mrs. Pardue resided on Joy Street.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley. The Rev. Paul Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in Graniteville Cemetery.
A native of Graniteville, Miss Pardue was a daughter of the late James Edgar and Alice Horne Pardue and step-mother, Lizzie Faulkner Pardue. She was a seamstress.
She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Constellation No. 97 and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are a brother, James E. Pardue Jr., Columbia; two sisters, Alice Yonce, Graniteville, and Lois Berry, Belvedere.
Pallbearers will be Sammie Berry, Dennis Berry, Ricky Hatcher, Charles Hatcher, Mike Wallace and Robert McClure. Friends may call at the residence of Martha Hatcher, 3047 Maplewood Drive, North Augusta or from 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Blanche Marie "Red" Weeks
Graveside services for Blanche Marie "Red" Weeks were to be held at 11 a.m. today at Bethany Cemetery.
Miss Weeks, 81, of Aiken, died Sunday, April 1, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Memorials may be made to the Tri-Development Center, 1016 Vaucluse Road, Aiken, S.C. 29801. Friends may call at the residence of her niece, Beverly Broadwater, 136 Cherry Hill Drive, Aiken, or at Rivers Funeral Home.

Keith Williams
LOUISIANA - Funeral services and burial for Keith Williams will be held in Winnfield, La. under the direction of Winnfield Funeral Home, Baton Rouge, La.
Mr. Williams died Sunday, April 1, 2001, in Aiken County.

Savannah Patterson Daniels
JOHNSTON - Savannah Patterson Daniels died Saturday, March 31, 2001, at Edgefield Nursing Home.
Mrs. Daniels, 91, resided at 114 Johnson St.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Johnston.
The Rev. Ernest Gordon will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Ms. Daniels was a daughter of the late Charles and Addie Rucker Patterson Surviving are two daughters, Thomasina Payne, Long Island, N.Y., and Cora Bell Daugherty, Johnston; 18 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
Friends may call today at Davis Funeral Home, Johnston, from 9 a.m. until noon Thursday at the funeral home or one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.

Austin C. Wigelius

Mr. Wigelius, 89, of Aiken, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Florence S. Weil
Funeral arrangements for Florence S. Weil will be announced by Shellhouse Funeral Home. Miss Weil, of 453 York St., died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at her residence.

John Henry Hammond
JOHNSTON - John Henry "Bubba" Hammond died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at Edgefield County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Church, Johnston. The Rev. Ernest Gordon will officiate.
Surviving are his widow, Gladys Hammond; three sons, John Henry Hammond Jr., Hazel Hammond and Dennis English; six daughters, Dorothy Simmons, Valerie Medford, Floria Blocker, Patricia McBurnet, Fannie M. Hammond and Lisa Mundy; two sisters, Ruby Jones and Fannie Moore; 29 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Amos & Sons Funeral Home, Johnston, is in charge of arrangements.

NEW ELLENTON - Ida Hurst, 74, died Thursday, April 27, 2001, at St. Joseph Hospital, Augusta.

Miriam Burckhalter Ramsey, retired secretary
GRANITEVILLE - Miriam Burckhalter Ramsey, 85, died Thursday, April 26, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville. The Rev. Steve Hendricks will officiate.
A native of Aiken County, Mrs. Ramsey was a daughter of the late James G. and Eva Johnson Burckhalter. She was a retired secretary with Joe B. Babb Insurance Co.
She was a member of Graniteville First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Jewel Gregg Sunday School Class and the Angelle Wilson Mission Group and kept the nursery for over two decades.
Surviving are her widower, Lester G. Ramsey; a daughter, Emalin B. Campbell, Anderson; a brother, J. G. Burckhalter, Warrenville; two sisters, Margery Harmon, Aiken, and Geraldine Thompson, Jonesville; and three grandsons.
Memorials may be made to Graniteville First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 119, Graniteville, S.C. 29829.
Friends may call immediately following the service Saturday.

William "Bill" Bryant
NORTH AUGUSTA - Funeral services for William "Bill" Bryant will be held at 2 p.m. today at Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley.
The Rev. Henry Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Mr. Bryant, of 108 Village Parkway, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001.
Pallbearers will be Wade Richardson, Steve Smith, Rick Kennedy, Henry Sharpe and James McCary.
Memorials may be made to the MCG Children's Hospital, 1446 Harper St., Augusta, GA 30916.

Harriet C. Westcott Dean
Harriet Celinda Westcott Dean, 86, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at her residence in Aiken under the care of Hitchcock Hospice.
No local funeral services will be held.
Mrs. Dean was a homemaker.
She was the widow of Robert Carl Dean.
Surviving are a son, Thomas N. Dean, Aiken; a daughter, Marilyn E. Dobbins, Aiken, and Spokane, Wash.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
