Willie M. Yarborough
Willie M. Yarborough died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000.
Mr. Yarborough resided in Aiken.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Stiefeltown Baptist Church. The Revs. Steve Cartin and Dr. W. C. Lowe will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Yarborough was a son of the late Charles A. and Jennie Cushman Yarborough.
Surviving are one brother, Rev. Dr. W. C . Lowe; and three sisters, Jennette Robinson, Lilllie Hellmans and Jennie Lee Renew.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at Napier Funeral Home.

Anne Ford Powell
Funeral services for Anne Ford Powell will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church.
The Rev. Dr. William R. Johnston will officiate. A private burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery.
Anne Ford Powell, 74, of 510 York Street, Aiken, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at University Hospital, Augusta.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 224 Barnwell Avenue, Aiken, 29801, the Oncology Educational Nursing Fund, 1350 Walton Way, 10 West, Augusta, GA 30901, or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box K, Aiken, S.C. 29801.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at Shellhouse Funeral Home.

Charles Perren Barker,
World War II veteran
WILLISTON - Graveside services for Charles Perren Barker will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Barnwell County Memory Gardens, Reynolds Road.
The Rev. Ernest Moates will officiate.
Mr. Barker, 77, of Sunnifield Drive, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at the Barnwell County Hospital.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 1817 Gadsden Street, Columbia, 29201.
The family will receive friends at the residence.

Maxie Watson
BATESBURG - Funeral services for Maxie Watson will be held at 3 p.m. today at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel.
The Rev. Ray Truett will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Crest Memorial Park.
Mr. Watson, 58, of 5614 Fairview Road, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000.
Pallbearers will be Bob Robertson, Ernest Stiefle, Nickie Smoak, Deano Long, Larry Powell and Tony Friar. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Long, Frankie Fink, Ricky Waters, Josh Waters, Curtis Sulton, Ernie Bledsoe and Freddy Bush.
Memorials may be made to the Duke University Brain Center.
Friends may call at the residence or at Milton Shealy Funeral Home today from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Steve Cifra,
World War II veteran
NORTH AUGUSTA - Graveside services for Steve Cifra were to be held at 11 a.m. today at Pinegrove Baptist Church Cemetery, Bath.
The Rev. Marty Roberts was to officiate.
Mr. Cifra, 75, of 1136 Crestview Drive, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at University Hospital, Augusta.

Austin Frank Ussery
WARRENVILLE - Funeral services for the Rev. Austin Frank Ussery will be held at 1 p.m. today at Warrenville First Baptist Church. The Revs. J.B. Redd, Edward Newsome and Robert Huffman will officiate. Entombment will be in Skyview Memorial Lawn in Vallejo, Calif. at a later date.
Mr. Ussery, 78, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000. in Augusta.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 400 Percival Road, Columbia, 29206.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 100 Robbe Street, Warrenville, or from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Corrine C. Gorman
Funeral services for Corrine C. Gorman will be private and under the direction of George Funeral Homes, Downtown. Mrs. Gorman, 74, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Kenneth L. Seay
WARRENVILLE - Kenneth L. Seay, 44, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000.
Funeral services for Kenneth L. Seay will be private and under the direction of George Funeral Homes, Downtown.

Barbara B. Reed
Barbara B. Reed, 87, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Msgr. Thomas A. Evatt will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
A vigil service will be held at 6 p.m. today at St. Mary's Church. The family will receive friends following the service until 8 p.m.
George Funeral Home, downtown, is in charge of arrangements.

Wallace Brunson Jr.,
Southeastern Clay Co. retiree
RIDGE SPRING - Funeral services for Wallace Brunson Jr. will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. The Rev. Ernest Gordon will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Brunson, 88, of Whispering Pine Road, died Friday, Feb. 8, at his residence.
Mr. Brunson was a lifelong resident of Edgefield County. He was retired from the Southeastern Clay Co. and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lannie W. Brunson; three sons, Willie James Brunson of Ridge Spring, Wallace Brunson III of Johnston and Raymond Brunson of Ridge Spring; ten grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Amos & Sons Funeral Home, Johnston, is in charge of arrangements.

Zera Mae Funches Key
Zera Mae Funches Key, 33, of Aiken died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at 820 Windsor Road, Windsor.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at Zion Field Baptist Church, Aiken. The Rev. John I. Gibson will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Key was a native and lifelong resident of Aiken. She was a member of Zion Field Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Willie O. Key; her father, Cleveland Funches of Aiken; three sons, Jermaine, Willie O. Key III and Dwayne Key of Aiken; two daughters, Frances and Brenda; four sisters, Willie Mae Millhouse, Ginger Funches, Brenda Funches, all of Aiken, and Lana Kay Funches of New York; and two brothers, Clevester Funches and Herbert Funches, both of Aiken.
Pallbearers will be George Glover Jr., James Glover, Leonard Glover, James Brown, John C. Patterson, George W. Johnson, Ronnie Key, Shawn Patterson, Charles Brown and Randolph Rose.
The family will receive friends at the residence or at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home beginning 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Fred Renew, DuPont retiree
Fred Renew, 70, of Aiken, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Augusta.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Shellhouse Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Wilson will officiate and burial will be in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Renew was a native of Aiken County. He was an Army veteran and a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Graniteville. He was retired from the DuPont Co. at the Savannah River Plant. He was the son of the late Luther and Mattie Renew.
Survivors include a sister, Virginia Hall of Aiken; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Harvey Stone Jr., Luther Renew Jr., "Chuck'' Edward Renew, Bobby Timmerman, Johnny Timmerman and Christopher D. Grice.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box K, Aiken, 29802.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m.

Lina I. McKay Rhodes
Funeral services for Lina I. McKay Rhodes will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at the Shellhouse Funeral Home. The Rev. Mera S. Corlett will officiate and burial will be private.
Mrs. Rhodes, 91, of Aiken, died Friday, Feb. 8, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Mrs. Rhodes was a native of Marietta, Ohio. She had lived in Aiken for the past two years. She was the daughter of the late Chauncey and Cecilia Curtis McKay and the wife of the late Joseph M. Rhodes.
Survivors include four daughters, Esther Lamb of Aiken, Martha L. Corlett of Cleveland, Ohio, Josephine L. DeSouza of Melbourne, Fla., and Frances L. Kimber of California; a sister, Blanche M. Leavy of Hancock, N.Y.; a brother, Donald McKay of Kent, Ohio; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Hitchcock Hospice, 690 Medical Park Dr., Aiken, 29801.
The family will receive friends following the service.

James Whyte II,
retired Air Force
Funeral services for James Whyte II will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at Shellhouse Funeral Home. The Rev. Cathy Cole will officiate and burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Whyte, 85, of Aiken, died Sunday, Feb. 10, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Mr. Whyte was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force and was a retired quality control manager with A.G. Spalding Bros.
Sporting Goods. He had lived in Aiken for the past 24 years. He was a member of Palmetto Golf Club, the Retired Officers Association, and was a past distinguished member of the USGA. He was the son of the late Gordon R. and Margaret J. Whyte.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen Belser Whyte; two daughters, Margaret Whyte of Aiken and Ruth Ellen Whyte Ness of Aiken; a son, Bruce Whyte of Lexington; a sister, Dorothy Whyte Irvint of Keene Valley, N.Y.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward G. Whyte.
Pallbearers will be an honor guard of the U.S. Air Force and burial will be with full military honors.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
