Sandy Run Baptist Church was constituted in 1824 in the Sandy Run section off 
Highway 21 just out of Lexington County in Calhoun County. The church was later 
moved. The name was changed in 1955 to First Baptist Church.
Directions to the church: Exit 1-26 on Highway 321 south, travel approximately 
ten miles on 321 into Gaston. Make a right at the red light in Gaston, cross 
the railroad track, turn right at the stop sign. Turn left at the curve. You 
will see the church as you turn.
