Robert "Robbie" Thomas Hutchinson, 28, of 4042 Tacco Court died Oct. 8, 2000, at his home. A native of Spartanburg County, he was the husband of Tara Tompkins Hutchinson and son of Arthur Thomas "Tommy" and Glenda Helton Hutchinson. He was a mechanic for Steel Clad in Greenville. Survivors in addition to his wife include three sons, Matthew and Nicholas Hutchinson, both of Cross Hill, and Brandon Edger of Spartanburg; one stepson, Daniel Dill of Cross Hill; and one sister, Sandra Davis of Spartanburg. Willie Stewart
Willie Lee Wright Stewart, 55, of 458 Whitestone Glendale Road died Oct. 8, 2000, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. A native of Spartanburg County, she was the widow of Alonzo Stewart and daughter of the late Willie Mutt Wright and Aurelia Wright. Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Stewart of the home; two sons, Kelvin Stewart and Derrick Wright, both of the home; one stepson, Anthony Stewart of the home; one sister, Gloria Mallory of Spartanburg; and five grandchildren. Frances Helen Baswell Mullins, 86, of 105 Cannon Ave. died Oct. 8, 2000. A native of Greer, she was the widow of Jesse E. Mullins and daughter of the late James T. She was a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. She also was a charter member of Tyger River Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Lanford Baptist Church where he was a former deacon. He also was a retired textile employee and an Air Force veteran. WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- R. Leon Kimball Sr., 90, of Triad United Methodist Home died March 26, 2001. A native of Salisbury, N.C., he was the son of the late Charles Harris and Mary Rusher Kimball. He was an active member of Centenary United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Clay-Chandler Sunday School class. He attended Rowan County Schools. He was a retired district manager for Sealtest Dairies after more than 40 years of service. He was a former member of the Winston-Salem Lions Club and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Survivors include his wife, Frances Cameron Tucker Kimball; one son, Richard Leon Kimball Jr. of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Lynn Kimball Edwards of Spartanburg; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Centenary United Methodist Church, conducted by the Revs. Jack Yarbrough and Roland Barnhardt. The family will receive friends in the church parlor immediately following the service. Private interment will be in Forsyth Memorial Park. A native of Polk County, N.C., he was the husband of Louise Hyder Henson of the home and son of the late Augustus and Eliza Cantell Henson. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, where he had served as a former deacon. He was retired from the Tryon Fine Arts Center. Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Keith Henson of Knoxville, Tenn., and Bruce Henson and Wally Henson, both of Landrum; two daughters, Judy Haynes of Enoree and Brenda Pierce of Landrum; one brother, Albert Henson of Landrum; one sister, Lillie Henson of Landrum; and six grandchildren. He was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church and retired owner and operator of Palmetto Printing Services. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
