Jason Derek Harvey, 20, of Summerville, SC died Saturday, September 29, 2001 in Berkeley County.
Funeral services will be held at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday morning, October 2, 2001 at 11:00 o'clock. Burial will be at St. Paul's Cemetery in Hampton, SC at 3:00 o'clock. Friends may call at PARKS FUNERAL HOME, SUMMERVILLE, SC this Monday evening from 6 to 9 o'clock.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406 or American Red Cross, Carolina Lowcountry Chapter, 5290 Rivers Ave., Suite 300 N. Charleston, SC 29406-6300.
Mr. Harvey was born on June 16, 1981 in Charleston, SC, a son of Terrell L. Harvey and Beverly Nettles Kellett. He was a low voltage technician for Meridian Automation and Communication. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Terrell and Ellen Harvey of Summerville; his mother and stepfather, Beverly and Richard Kellett of Redding, CA; four brothers, Lenny Harvey and his wife, Sandy of Mooreville, MS, Garrett Harvey, Sim Harvey and Ryan Kellett, all of Summerville; one sister Shauna Tangemann of Summerville; paternal grandmother, Myra Harvey of Hampton; maternal grandmother, Connie Dew of Barnwell; and step-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Stan Kellett of Charleston.

SALADINO, Benjamin
Benjamin Q. Saladino, 66, of Goose Creek, SC, died Wednesday, September 26, 2001 at his residence. Mr. Saladino was born August 2, 1935 in Umingan, Pangasinan, Philippines to Ubaldo and Apolonia (Quitalbo) Saladino. He was retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years. Graduated from Manuel L. Quezon University. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Helen (Rescober) Saladino of Goose Creek; two sons, Lloyd D. Saladino of Columbia, SC, Hubert B. Saladino of New York, NY and also survived by Siegfredo and Esther Padlan and Rosalia Rovillos, all of Goose Creek. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with burial in Carolina Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday evening at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel, 100 S. Goose Creek Blvd, Goose Creek and also on Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with a 7 p.m. Rosary Service. MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL is serving the Saladino family.

BELLINGER, Edmund
Edmund F. Bellinger, Jr., died on Wednesday, September 26, 2001 at a local hospital. He was the son of Edmund F. Bellinger, Sr., and Margaret Blitch Bellinger. He was born February 13, 1927 in Charleston, South Carolina. Mr. Bellinger was in the Marine Corp. and later became a member of the U.S. Air Force as a fighter pilot and retired as a Major in 1967. He served during WW II, Korea, Cuban Crisis, and Vietnam. He was the recepient of many commadations including the Distinquished Flying Cross. During his military career he resided at various stateside and overseas bases but mainly in California and South Carolina.
After retirement, he was employed by the State of California. He was a graduate of St. Andrews High School and attended Clemson University and The Citadel. His church affiliation was Catholic and French Huguenot. He was a member of the Country Club of Charleston. Mr. Bellinger is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marilyn Murray Bellinger and three sons, Edmund F. Bellinger III, David M. Bellinger, and John M. Bellinger and two daughters, Lynne Bellinger Allen, and Dawn E. Bellinger, five grandchildren, David Bellinger II, Brian Bellinger, Juliana Schulte, Bryce Bellinger and James Allen, one niece, Barry Whitehead Russell. He was predeceased by one sister Barry Bellinger Whitehead.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 1, 2001 at the McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel, 150 Wentworth St., Charleston, SC. at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be to American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, 1660 Sam Rittenberg Blvd., Charleston, SC or the American Heart Assoc., Inc., 215 East Bay Street, Charleston, SC.

BROOKS, Philip
Philip B. Brooks, 49, of Pinopolis, a technical engineer with Santee Cooper, died Monday at his residence.
The graveside funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at St. John's Baptist Church Cemetery, Pinopolis. Burial will be directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, MONCKS CORNER.
Mr. Brooks was born March 16, 1959, in Charleston, S.C., a son of Lee O. Brooks and Joanne Berkhimer Brooks. He was a Baptist. He was a member of Mepkin Hunt Club.
Surviving are his mother, Joanne Berkhimer Brooks of Pinopolis; brother, Ronald Lee Brooks of Atlanta, Ga.; three stepbrothers, Terry J. Brooks of Pinopolis, Jerry H. Brooks of Greenville, Rex Brooks of Moncks Corner.

Jake Lamont Huggins, 25, of 3204 Florida Ave., North Charleston, S.C., died Thursday, September 27, 2001, as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., on Thursday, October 4, 2001, at the Christ Gospel Church of Charleston, located at 249 St. Philips St., Charleston, S.C., with the Rev. Kenneth J.J. Edmonson officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery, North Charleston, S.C. Mr. Huggins was born June 30, 1976, in Charleston, S.C., a son of Jake Huggins and Mrs. Patricia Britt Huggins. He was a graduate of Burke High School and was an employee of Romanza's Restaurant of Mt. Pleasant.
Surviving are his father, Jake Huggins of North Charleston, S.C., his mother, Mrs. Patricia Britt Huggins of North Charleston, S.C., , one sister, Mrs. Monica (Eddie) Watkins of North Charleston, S.C., two brother, Dwight Winston Huggins of North Chareleston, S.C., and Donald Croskey of Compton, Calif.; his grandmother, Mrs. Ida B. Britt of St. George, S.C. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.
Family hour will also be held Wednesday evening, October 3, 2001, at 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Christ Gospel Church of Charleston.

SANGILLO, Emillio
Entered into eternal rest on the morning of October 1, 2001, Chief Petty Officer Emillio John Sangillo, United States Navy (retired), husband of Florine Sawyer Sangillo. Residence, Goose Creek, S.C. The relatives and friends of Chief and Mrs. Emillio John Sangillo are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial of the former in the Charleston Air Force Base Chapel, Thursday morning, October 4, 2001, at 10 o'clock. The Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will be held at Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens with military honors. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL, Wednesday evening between 6 and 8 o'clock where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30.

Mr. Sangillo was born August 29, 1918, in Portland, Maine, the sixteenth of 26 children born of Italian immigrants Francesco and Caterina Galli Sangillo. He was a graduate of Portland High School, Portland, Maine, and faithfully served his country in the United States Navy for 32 years, serving in World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Viet Nam War, retiring as a Chief Boatswain Mate and then took a position with the Charleston Naval Shipyard as a rigger retiring when he was 75 years of age. Mr. Sangillo was a member of the Charleston Air Force Base Catholic Community.
Surviving are his wife of Goose Creek, S.C., a son, Frank Emillio Sangillo of Goose Creek, S.C., a daughter, Catherine Sangillo Dixon of St. Mary's, Ga., brothers, Adam Sangillo of Saco, Maine, Nicholas Sangillo, of Portland, Maine, Ralph Sangillo of Portland, Maine, sisters, Angelina S. Higgins of Walpole, Mass., Antoinette S. Haulihan of Worchester, Mass., his grandchildren, Douglas Oliver Metts, II, Rushelle Ann Lindsay, Valerie Michelle Sangillo, Catrina Sangillo Willis, Jennifer McMurtrie, great-grandchildren, Breanna, Cain, Joshua, Cayla, Hannah, Taylor, Douglas, III, and Jade.

Mrs. Carrigg was born May 30, 1928, in Denmark, S.C., a daughter of the late Arthur Chavis and Letha Grooms Chavis. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy.
Survivors include four daughters, Martha A. Sullivan of Allendale, S.C., Letha C. Pratt of Walterboro, S.C., Ruth A. Goddard and Brenda L. Carrigg, both of Summerville, S.C., two sons, Steven N. Thomas of Gaston, S.C., and Frankie L. Thomas of Lexington, S.C., two sisters, Henrietta Rourk of Walterboro, S.C., and Bessie L. Keisler of Cayce, S.C., 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

LYDIARD, John
Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of September 30, 2001. Residence, Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
John "Jack" Lydiard was born November 14, 1914, a son of Morton Douglas Lydiard and Helen Bonthron Lydiard. He and his wife Martha Dennis Lydiard of West Chicago raised their family in Minneapolis, Minn. Jack was a commercial artist for 40 years. He served in the Army during World War II, where he met Martha, whom he married in 1944 and enjoyed 53 years of marriage. He was a great story and joke teller, loved to read, sing and play the piano. He was active as a photographer, life-long watercolor artist and art teacher in Minneapolis and later in Green Valley, Ariz., while in retirement. He had many other talents, including woodworking and the gift of gab. He had resided at the Franke Home in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., since the death of his beloved spouse, Martha Dennis Lydiard on February 6, 1997.
Jack is survived by two sons, John Morton Lydiard, III, and his wife, Terri of Bedford, N.H., and R. Bruce Lydiard, Ph.D., and his wife Kathleen T. Brady of Sullivan's Island, S.C., a daughter, Barbara Binsfield of Buffalo, Minn., seven grandchildren, John Morton Lydiard, IV, and James Lydiard of Bedford, N.H., Monica Ann, Jessica Blair and Claire Cecelia Lydiard, of Sullivan's Island, S.C., Zachary and Andrew Binsfield of Buffalo, Minn. He will also be missed by his niece, Patricia Barga and family of Castle Rock, Colo., his nephew, Douglas Lydiard and family of Phoenix, Ariz., his brother-in-law, Lany Elgar and wife, Barbara Dennis Elgar of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and their children, Alan, Mary, and Robert Elgar; and brother-in-law, Robert Dennis and wife Lucette Dennis and family.
All services will be private.
