MARTHA FULTON -- Funeral services for Martha Ann Fulton, conducted by the Rev. Francis Burrows, were held Saturday, May 18, 2002, at Siloam Baptist Church in Kingstree. Burial, directed by Dimery and Rogers Funeral Home, followed at Greenlawn Cemetery. Ms. Fulton died Sunday, May 12, 2002, at Regency Hospital in Florence. She was born September 9, 1925, in Kingstree, a daughter of the late Phillip Fulton and Ada Mullins Fulton. She was educated in Williamsburg County public schools. She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church and enjoyed working with the senior citizens. Survivors are: one brother, Willie Fulton of Kingstree; and four sisters, Beatrice Morris and Ada Greaves, both of Kingstree; and Glennie Rotten and Mildred Fulton, both of New York City, New York.

KEITH PEARSON -- Funeral services for Keith "Key Boy" Pearson, conducted by the Rev. B. L. Green and the Rev. Roy Evans, were held Monday, May 20, 2002, at St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church in Kingstree. Burial, directed by Redmond-Richardson Funeral Home, followed at the churchyard cemetery. Mr. Pearson, 47, an auto mechanic, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at Carolinas Hospital System-Florence. He was born May 8, 1955, in Clarendon County, a son of the late Sam Robert and Earlene Evans Pearson. He was educated in the public schools of Clarendon County. He was a member of St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church. He was married to the late Mrs. Irene Davis Pearson. Survivors are: one daughter, Barbara Denise Boston of Lake City; three step-children, five brothers, George Pearson and Elbert Pearson, both of Turbeville; Robert Ed Pearson and Donnie Pearson, both of Kingstree; and John Edward Pearson of West Palm Beach, Florida; and five sisters, Eunice McKenzie of Cocoa Beach, Florida; Mrs. Jannie Mae York, Almeta Pearson, Mildred Pearson, all of Kingstree; and Gracie McKenzie of Andrews.

LOIS WIGGINS -- Lois McCants Wiggins, 82, widow of Grady W. Wiggins, died Friday, May 17, 2002, in a Tuscalossa, Alabama hospital. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Steven M. Todd and the Rev. Paul Miles, will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2002, in Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home, will follow at Andrews Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Wiggins was born in Andrews on April 13, 1920, a daughter of the late Thomas Albert McCants and Mary Jane Louise Davis McCants. She attended the Georgetown County Schools and lived in Andrews all her life. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Grady Wilson Wiggins and Thomas Leon Morris. Survivors are: two sons, T. Wayne Morris of Andrews; and Grady W. Wiggins, Jr. of Gilbert; and three daughters, Mary L. Furches of Homestead, Florida; Virginia Brown of Kingstree; and Elisa W. Smith of Northport, Alabama.

JULIA McGILL -- Julia Marion McGill, 97, died Fri., May 17, 2002, in Orangeburg. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Tommy Conway and the Rev. Tommy McGill, were held Sun., May 19, 2002, at Cedar Swamp United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home, followed at the church cemetery. Miss McGill was born in Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late John Yancey McGill and Emma Ervin Scott McGill. She was a retired salesperson and a member of Cedar Swamp United Methodist Church. Survivors are: two sisters, Mrs. Polly M. Connor of Columbia; and Mrs. Helen M. Adams of Kingstree.

TYLER -- Fred L. Tyler, 88, died Monday, March 27, 2000, in a St. Stephen nursing home. Funeral services were held March 29, 2000, in Cedar Grove Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. C. B. Dunn. Burial followed in the church cemetery directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home. Mr. Tyler was born in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Agnes Tisdale Tyler and George N. Tyler. He was a retired farmer and a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Survivors are: his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Stuckey Tyler of Kingstree; one son, Fred L. Tyler, Jr. of Kingstree; one daughter, Rebecca Smith of Kingstree; and one sister, Mrs. Sadie T. Berman of Lake City.

GAMBLE -- Richard Ashburn Gamble, 56, died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, in a Lake City hospital. Memorial services were held Sunday, April 2, 2000, in the Kingstree United Methodist Church directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home. Mr. Gamble was born in Kingstree, a son of Mrs. Helen Ashburn Gamble and the late Beverly Franklin Gamble. He was a graduate of Kingstree High School and received his B. S. and masters degree from the Citadel. He was an Eagle Scout and was the recipient of the Order of the Arrow. He was a former teacher and assistant principal at Brentwood Middle School in Charleston. He was a member of Kingstree United Methodist Church. Survivors, in addition to his mother of Kingstree, are: his wife, Martha E. Haines of Charleston and Rockingham, NC, one daughter, Julie Ann Gamble of Manning; one sister, Beverly Ann G. Setzler of Kingstree; and one brother, Fred H. Gamble of Kingstree.

KENNEDY -- Mrs. Mary Lundy Kennedy, 82, widow of George Curtis Kennedy, Sr., died Wed., March 29, 2000, at her residence. Funeral services were held Friday, March 31, 2000, in the Kingstree United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. George Howle. Burial was in Kingstree Memorial Gardens directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home. Mrs. Kennedy was born in Sumter County, a daughter of the late Russell W. Lundy and Annie Jernigan Lundy. She was a member of Kingstree United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Wallace Connor Sunday school class and the Leila Epps Circle. Survivors are: one son, G. Curtis Kennedy, Jr. of Kingstree; one daughter, Judy K. King of Sumter; and one sister, Grace L. White of Sumter.

TISDALE -- Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Peterson Tisdale were held Saturday, April 1, 2000, at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Salters, conducted by the Rev. C. W. Green and Elder O. D. Franklin. Burial followed in Rocky Ford Cemetery in Salters directed by Redmond-Richardson Funeral Home. Mrs. Tisdale, 32, died Tuesday, March 28, 2000, at Carolinas Hospital System-Kingstree. She was born April 13, 1967, a daughter of Beka Peterson. She was reared by her adopted mother Mary Scott. Survivors, in addition to her mother of Florida, are: her husband, Jessie James Tisdale of the home; her adopted mother, Mary Scott of New Haven, CT; six adopted sisters, Terry McElveen of Waterbury, CT; Mrs. Sharon Brooks, Joyce McElveen, Ember McElveen, April McElveen and Arnesha McElveen, all of New Haven, CT; and two adopted brothers, Joequian McElveen and John McElveen, both of New Haven, CT.

BROCK -- Funeral services for Mrs. Francis Parsons Brock were held Saturday, April 1, 2000, at Nazareth A.M.E. Church in Lane, conducted by the Rev. Geneva Wilson. Burial followed in the church's cemetery directed by Dimery and Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Brock, 90, died Monday, March 27, 2000, at Carolinas Hospital System-Florence. She was born April 15, 1909, in Lane, a daughter of the late Jack O. Parsons and Nancy Parsons. She was a retired homemaker. She was a member of Nazareth A.M.E. Church. She was the widow of the late Jake Brock. Survivors are: two brothers, Thomas Parsons of Georgetown and Roy Parsons of Providence, RI.

McALLISTER -- Myrtie McDaniel McAllister, 92, widow of Edward Jeff McAllister, died Friday, March 31, 2000, at Commander Nursing Center. Funeral services were held Sunday, April 2, 2000, in the Brockington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Carter Cemetery. Mrs. McAllister was born in Florence County, a daughter of the late Zan and Mary McAllister McDaniel. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Lula Von Baxley of Effingham.
