ELIJAH MABRY -- Funeral services for Elijah "Sonnyboy" Mabry, conducted by the Rev. Joseph D. Ricks, were held Thurs., March 4, 2004, at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Salters. Burial, directed by Redmond-Richarson Funeral Home, followed at Porter-Ferrell Cemetery. Mr. Mabry, 68, died Sun., Feb. 29, 2004, at his residence in Salters. He was born Aug. 6, 1935, in Salters, a son of the late James 'Jimmy' Mabry and Gussie Montgomery Mabry. He received his formal education in the public schools of Williamsburg County. Mr. Mabry was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, where he sang on the choir and was a member of the Trustee Board. He was also a member of Woodstock Masonic Lodge No. 455. He sang with the Southland Gospel Singers for many years. He was employed for several years as a machine operator at Georgia Pacific. He was also employed by Redmond-Richardson Funeral Home, Fleming Funeral Home of Summerton, Samuel Funeral Home of Manning and D.W. Richardson Transit Service. Survivors are: his wife, Edith C. Mabry of the home; four sons, Lee Mabry and Antonio Mabry, both of Kingstree; Angelo Mabry of Georgetown; and Bishop Johnny Moore, Sr., of Columbia; two daughters, Shelva Elmore and Ernestine Pringle, both of Salters; three brothers, Albert Mabry of Salters; and John Henry Gamble and Mark Gamble, both of Hemstead, New York; one sister, Virginia Hardy of Salters; and 12 grandchildren.

SHIRLEY GAMBLE -- Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Gamble, conducted by the Rev. Melvin Lee Segres, Sr., were held Sat., March 6, 2004, at Apostolic Faith Mission Holiness Church in Kingstree. Burial, directed by Pressleyıs Funeral Home, followed at Kingstree Cemetery. Mrs. Gamble died Tues., March 2, 2004, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. She was born Oct. 11, 1950, in Kingstree, a daughter of Lirleas McClary Gamble and the late Jeff Gamble. She was educated in the public schools of Williamsburg County, graduating from Tomlinson High School. Survivors, in addition to her mother, of Kingstree, are: her husband, John Gamble of Kingstree; two sons, David Gamble and James Gamble, both of Kingstree; two daughters, Estell Tisdale and Yolanda Gamble, both of Kingstree; two brothers, Ernest Gamble of Trio; and Kenneth Gamble of Kingstree; one sister, Jessie L. Gamble of Kingstree; and six grandchildren.\

RAYMOND WILSON -- Mr. Raymond "Two Boy" Wilson, 57, died Mon., March 1, 2004, at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital in Bronx, New York. Funeral services for Mr. Wilson, conducted by the Rev. Franklin D. James, were held Sun., March 7, 2004, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Nesmith. Burial, directed by Redmond-Richardson Funeral Home, followed at the churchyard cemetery. Mr. Wilson was born March 1, 1947, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Sammy and Marie Wilson Liner. He attended the public schools of Williamsburg County, and attended St. Paul United Methodist Church. For the last 30 years, he worked as a United States Postal Service employee. Survivors are: two sisters, Mrs. Louise Wilson Wright of Nesmith; and Charlene Scott of Kingstree; two brothers, Allen Wilson and Frank J. Wilson of Nesmith; and an adopted brother, Larry Stanley of Nesmith.

JAMES McDONALD -- Funeral services for James Edward "Slim" McDonald, conducted by the Rev. Frank James, were held Sat., March 6, 2004, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Kingstree. Burial, directed by Redmond-Richardson Funeral Home, followed at the churchyard cemetery. Mr. McDonald, 69, a truck driver, died Sun., Feb. 29, 2004, at the Palmetto-Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia. He was born July 15, 1934, in Lane, a son of the late William "Lovin" McDonald and Louise Williams McDonald. He received his formal education in the public schools of Williamsburg County. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Lane, where he served on the trustee board. He later became a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. He also was a member of Boggy Swamp Lodge No. 452. He started driving truck at the age of 13. He worked as a truck driver at Drexel Furniture Company, a machine operator at Georgia-Pacific, a truck driver at Jimıs Live Stock and then became self-employed as a truck driver. After 49 years, he retired in 1996. Later, he drove part-time for Tri-County Cotton Gin and then for SSA Cooper. Survivors are: his wife, Mrs. Georgia Mae Owens McDonald of the home; six sons, Ronnie McDonald of Kingstree; Karl McDonald of Salters; James McDonald of Raeford, North Carolina; Jason McDonald and Herman Benbow, both of Lane; and Lee Coe of Greensboro; to daughters, Kenisha McDonald of Orangeburg; and Keisha McDonald of the home; one brother, Johnny McDonald of Jacksonville, Florida; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Janie Owens of Kingstree; and eight grandchildren.

RAYMOND GUERTIN, JR. -- Raymond Edgar (Eddie) Guertin, Jr., 45, died Mon., May 3, 2004, at his residence. Funeral services were held Fri., May 7, 2004, at Williamsburg Funeral Home Chapel. Burial, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home, followed at Broad Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. Mr. Guertin was born Sept. 5, 1958, in Columbia, a son of Mrs. Lita Cole Guertin and the late Raymond E. Guertin, Sr. He attended Seminole Community College in Sanford, Florida, and was a heavy equipment operator. He attended Kingstree First Baptist Church. Survivors, in addition to his mother of Kingstree, are: one daughter, Amanda G. Schock of Orlando, Florida; one sister, Sharon G. Rhoad of Branchville; three half-brothers, Kenneth Guertin of Southbridge, Massachusetts; Joe Loyd Player of Denver, Colorado; and Harold W. Stork of Annacco, Louisiana; and one grandson.

NATHAN WILLIAMS -- Funeral services for Nathan "Nooney" Williams, conducted by Elder Dr. Mary M. Scott, were held Wed., May 12, 2004, at the Miracle Temple Bible Center in Salters. Burial, directed by Redmond-Richardson Funeral Home, followed at Gordon Cemetery in Lane. Mr. Williams, 41, died Thurs., May 6, 2004, at the Providence Hospital in Columbia. He was born May 7, 1962, in Williamsburg County, a son of James "Jay" Williams, Sr., and Starlene Addison Williams. He attended the public schools of Williamsburg County and was a 1981 graduate of C.E. Murray High School. He was a member of Miracle Temple Bible Center, where he served as a guitarist for the church. He was one of the lead singers for the Williams Brothers of Lane. He also was a musician with Pastor Rozzetta Shaw Ministry of Santee. He was employed by Food Lion of Moncks Corner. Survivors, in addition to his parents, both of Lane, are: seven children, Kendrick Shirer, Timothy Maurice Shirer, Nathan Dashawn Williams and Javonty Milik Williams, all of St. Stephen; Nathan Cordele McCray of Salters; Kira Cerray Brown of Andrews; and Alaysha Britton of Pineville; seven brothers, James Williams, Jr., of Kingdom, Georgia; Dawson Devon Williams of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Gerome Addison of Lane; Rion Addison of Thomasville, North Carolina; Willie Williams of Salters; Lee James Williams of Pawleys Island; and Roosevelt Williams of Hemingway; four sisters, Mrs. Gloria Lathonia Jelk of Memphis, Tennessee; Rev. Dr. Mary M. Scott of Kingstree; Mrs. Starlene Legette of Effingham; and Mrs. Cheri Kinder of Kingstree; a niece reared as a sister, Kacehel Williams of Lane; and a nephew reared as a brother, Dawson Leon Williams of Fayetteville, North Carolina.

EMMA GRACE JUBERG -- Emma Grace Juberg, infant daughter of Dr. Breton C. Juberg and Cynthia Mason Juberg, died Fri., May 7, 2004, in a Florence hospital. Memorial services were held Sun., May 9, 2004, in the Williamsburg Presbyterian Church. Emma Grace was born May 4, 2004, in Kingstree. Survivors, in addition to her parents of Kingstree, are: five brothers, Brandon, Matthew, Marc and Seth Clapp and Christopher Juberg, all of Ashboro, North Carolina; her grandmothers, Betty Juberg of Pickens; and Nancy Mason of Ashboro, North Carolina. Memorials may be made to Williamsburg Presbyterian Church or to McLeod Regional Hospital NICU in Florence.

RUBY FLOYD -- Mrs. Ruby Genevieve Snowden Floyd, 94, died Sun., Jan. 4, 2004, in Florence. She was the wife of the late Felton Livingston Floyd and lived in Lake City. Graveside funeral services were held Wed., Jan. 7, 2004, at the Lake City Memorial Park, directed by Brockington Funeral Home. Mrs. Floyd was born in Indiantown, a daughter of the late William James and Amelia Josina Snowden. A graduate of Winthrop College, Mrs. Floyd was an educator who taught in the Florence County schools for over 15 years. She was a member of the Indiantown Presbyterian Church and joined the Lake City First Baptist Church after her marriage to Mr. Floyd. She was a member of the Cecil Rogers Sunday school class, the Tuesday Afternoon Literacy Club and the Wednesday Afternoon Book Club. Survivors are: two daughters, Amelia Floyd Barton of Memphis, Tennessee; and Elizabeth "Libby" Atkinson of Chesterfield; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Lake City First Baptist Church, Building or Music Fund, 110 S. Church Street, Lake City, South Carolina 29560.

JULIUS McKNIGHT -- Julius "Mac" Elliott McKnight, 73, died Dec. 26, 2003, at home. Funeral services were held Dec. 28, 2003, at Unity Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, followed at Gaston Memorial Park. Mr. McKnight was born Oct. 1, 1930, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Julius Elliott McKnight, Sr., and Mary Frances McKnight. He was retired from Petty Machine Shop in Gastonia. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon, usher and greeter. He was an Army veteran who served in the Korean War. Survivors are: his wife, Janice Vaughn McKnight of the home; two daughters, Rebecca White of Gastonia; and Nancy Mobley of Salisbury, North Carolina; three sisters, Alyce Foxworth of Salters; Edythe Ard and Gladys Dangerfield, both of Moncks Corner; and four grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Unity Baptist Church, 482 N. Myrtle School Road, Gastonia, North Carolina 28052.

JESSE WILLIAMS Funeral services for Jesse Lee Williams, conducted by the Rev. Tommy Shubrick, were held Sat., Jan. 10, 2004, at Good Hope Baptist Church. Burial, directed Dimery and Rogers Funeral Home, followed at Marion Memorial Gardens. Mr. Williams, 86, died Tues., Jan. 6, 2004, at Williamsburg Regional Hospital. He was born July 24, 1917, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Paul Williams and Threasa Williams. He attended the public schools of Williamsburg County. He was self-employed as a general contractor. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church, where he served as chairman of Deacon Board, choir member, church trustee and Sunday school teacher. He also was a member of Mt. Hope Masonic Lodge No. 418 and served as worshipful master. He was the worthy patron of Mt. Hope Order of the Eastern Star No. 286. He was a member of the NAACP, the Y.M.C.A. and the Santee Coop. of Greeleyville. He was an original member of the Greeleyville Four Singing Quartet. Survivors are: his wife, Mrs. Ruth Williams of the home; five sons, Jesse Williams of Savannah, Georgia; Nathaniel Williams of Willingboro, New Jersey; Johnnie Williams of Kingstree; Julius Williams of Columbia; and Joseph Williams of Willingboro, New Jersey; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Williams of Greeleyville; Mrs. Wilhemenia Nelson, Mrs. Evine Williams of Middletown, Delaware; and Mrs. Margaret Williams of Columbia; one brother, Wesley McClam of Lake City; 25 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
