Helen Fitz
Funeral Mass for Helen Irene Fitz, 87, of Sisseton, SD was held on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Sisseton, SD, with the Rev. Fr. Walter Butor OMI, celebrant. Pallbearers were Ernie Hutchins, Boyd Hansen, Arnold Volker, Gordie Robertson, Neil Long, and Harvey VanHeel. Organist was Bill Nelson and song leader was Sandi Jaspers. Interment was in the Peever Cemetery, Peever, SD. There was visitation on Monday, January 22, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Cahill Funeral Chapel, and one hour prior to the funeral mass on Tuesday, January 23, 2007. The Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton, SD was in charge of arrangements.
Helen was born on November 13, 1919 at Garrison, IA, to Asberry and Cora (Turner) Simmons. The family moved to Ipswich, SD when she was five years old. In 1929 they moved to a farm seven miles southwest of Peever, SD. She attended grade school at Agency #2 country school and graduated from Peever High School in 1938. After graduation she worked on Ethel Beavers ranch west of Wilmot, SD until her marriage to Dick Foster on September 13, 1940 at Hawarden, IA. After her marriage she worked as a switchboard operator in Peever, SD for Frank Dudak. The couple farmed and raised their children on the farm until 1958 when Dick passed away.
Helen and her children moved to Sisseton, SD where she worked as an aide at the Community Hospital. On November 30, 1963 she was married to Herman Fitz. Herman and Helen resided in Sisseton and he passed away in 1999. Helen moved to Becker, MN in 2003 to live with her daughter. Helen liked crossword puzzles, sewing, listening to music, and she loved to care for and overfeed her pets. Her greatest joy was spending time with her great-grandchildren.
Helen passed away on January 19, 2007 at the Monticello-Biglake Hospital, in Monticello, MN.Helen is survived by three children, Dixie and husband Richard Heinecke of Sisseton, SD, DeAnne Foster and Warren Johnson of Becker, MN, and Dennis and wife Brenda Foster of Stillwater, MN; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Brian and wife Katy Heinecke, and children Nicholas, Hayden, and Paige of Sisseton, SD, Brad and Tracy Heinecke and daughter Ava of Waco, TX, and Kristen and husband Brad Green and children Preston and Payton of Breckenridge, MN, Amanda and children, Alexis and Kenny Foster of Clearwater, MN, and Ashley and son John Foster of Stillwater, MN; six step-children, James and wife Rose Fitz of Cresco, PA, Janey and husband Pat Riley of Lakeville, MN, Jack and wife Carole Fitz of Inver Grove Hts, MN, Allan and wife Sally Fitz of Farmington, MN, Mike and wife Carol Fitz of Britton, SD, Pat and wife Lori Fitz of Sisseton, SD; fifteen step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; three sisters, Mary, Bonnie, and Ellen; and one step-grandson.

Evelyn Tester
Evelyn L. (LaBelle) Tester, an elder of the Sisseton Wahpeton Tribe, died on Monday, January 15, 2007 in St. Paul, MN. Funeral Services were held Friday, January 19, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Kessler & Maguire Funeral Home in St. Paul, MN. Visitation was held Thursday, January 18, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Evelyn was born on July 3, 1915 near Veblen, SD. She was proud of her heritage and raised her children to have that same fierce pride in who they are.She is survived by her children Arnold (Barbara) of Binghamton, NY, Richard (Pat) of St. Paul, MN, Charles (Pat) of Hugo, MN, Carole (Bob) Ballard of Parrottsville, TN, Grace of St. Paul, MN, Dennis (Kathleen) of St. Paul, MN, Darlene of Elko, MN; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild soon to be born; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ellen and Alfred LaBelle; her step-father Benjamin LaBelle; her brother Edwin; and her loving husband, Clyde A. Tester. The family said, “Our mother loved her children and was endlessly proud of them and her grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy that will not soon be forgotten.”Memorials are preferred to the Salvation Army, the Union Gospel Mission, or a charity of your choice.

Doris Beumer
Funeral services for Doris Beumer, age 76, of Browns Valley, MN, were held on Saturday, January 27, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Wilmot, SD. Burial was held following the service in the Valley View Cemetery in Browns Valley, MN. Presiding over the service was Rev. DeVern Schwenn. Special music was provided by Doris’ grandchildren and Rachel Jurgens with organist Neoma Ballhagen. Pallbearers were Doris’ grandchildren, Sarah Bell, Jennifer Hanson, Ian Beumer, Michael Beumer, Jon Bell and Grant Hanson. Honorary Pallbearers were all of Doris’ family and friends.Visitation was held on Friday, January 26, 2007, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Larson Funeral Home in Browns Valley, MN. There was a prayer service held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening at the Larson Funeral Home.
Doris Jeanne (Deyo) Beumer was born on February 21, 1930 in Clear Lake, SD, to parents, Ted and Helen (Duehr) Deyo. As a young girl, the family moved to Browns Valley, MN, where she attended school. Doris graduated from Browns Valley High School in 1948 and married Robert Beumer on December 4, 1948, at the Presbyterian Church in Browns Valley, MN.Doris and Bob worked side by side on their farm south of Browns Valley, where they were blessed with three children, Scott, Randy, and Terry. Doris’ love of the Lord and love for family were the foundation of her life. She taught seventh and eighth grade Sunday School for many years and was involved in the UMPW and Presbyterian Women, studying the scriptures, quilting, and always willing to serve wherever needed. She made quilts for her students and many others. Doris treasured the smiles on the faces of those she gave to. Doris was a wonderful cook and baked delicious caramel rolls and pies of every variety. She loved life on the farm and took great pride in her flowers and large vegetable gardens, always sharing with others. She enjoyed singing in the Browns Valley Community Choir for a number of years as well. Her beautiful eyes and smile and her caring and generous nature will be missed by those who loved her and called her friend.
Doris passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, at her home near Browns Valley, MN, reaching the age of 76 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Helen.Doris is survived by her husband, Robert of Browns Valley, MN; sons, Scott (Jill) Beumer of San Antonio, TX, Randy (Judy) Beumer of Browns Valley, MN, and Terry (Laurel) Beumer of Browns Valley, MN; four grandchildren, Sarah (Jon) Bell, Jennifer (Grant) Hanson, Ian Beumer, and Michael Beumer; three sisters, Charlotte Goering, Phyllis Schwagerl, and Mary-Lou Toelle; one brother, Keith Deyo; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The Larson Funeral Home of Browns Valley, MN was in charge of the arrangements.

Clara Bubak-Hanson
Funeral Service for Clara Bubak-Hanson, 102, of Sisseton, SD was held on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church, Sisseton, SD, with the Rev. Vern Donnell, Rev. Tim Peterson and Rev. Beverly Brafford-Perrella officiating. Pallbearers were Todd Brafford, Mark Bubak, Tom Elrite, Tommy Elrite, Bill Elrite, Jim Elrite, and Zeb Wolfe, grandsons and great-grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were all of Clara’s grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Organist was Gloria Slaamot, and pianist June Evenson presented prelude music. Former pastors, Rev. Tim and Sybil Peterson, along with Krystal and Del Williams, also performed beautiful, meaningful musical selections. Interment followed at the Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. Visitation hours held on Friday, January 26, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Scripture Service at the Cahill Funeral Chapel, and one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the church. The Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton, SD was in charge of arrangements.
Clara Iverson was born on November 22, 1904 in Marshall County, SD to Knute and Seri Anna (Husted) Iverson. Clara was united in marriage to Albert Bubak on February 6, 1928 in Sisseton, SD. They made their home in Sisseton, Watertown and Webster. In 1942 they moved back to Sisseton where Clara worked for Stavig’s Department Store and was a clerk at Sisseton Livestock Auction. In 1952 they moved to Woodburn, OR. Albert passed away in 1983. Clara continued to make her home in Woodburn until returning to Sisseton in 1993. Clara was united to Andy K. Hanson on September 10, 1992 in Reno, NV. Clara entered the Green Leaf Assisted Living Center in Sisseton, SD, in September 2005. She enjoyed designing clothes, shopping, loved her bible, her church, and loved music, singing, and playing the piano and saxophone. She enjoyed entertaining and cooking Norwegian dishes. She also wrote a book about her life entitled “My Life on the Prairie”, describing the remarkable life lessons learned in her early years. She traveled to Norway in 1991 for an Iverson Family reunion, where 85 relatives attended the festivities. In 2002 she was nominated by the “Spirit of South Dakota” Awards Society, as one of 26 women in the state to be honored for their contributions of time and talent, making a difference in our state. Clara was a member of The First Assembly of God Church.
Clara passed away on January 24, 2007 at the Tekakwitha Nursing Center in Sisseton, SD.Clara is survived by her husband, Andy K. Hanson of Sisseton, SD; one son, Orville, and his wife, Shirley Bubak of Sisseton, SD; one daughter, Rev. Beverly Brafford-Perrella and her husband, Ralph Perrella of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Arnold Iverson of Woodburn, OR; one sister-in-law, Ruth Iverson of Vancouver, WA; nine grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Clara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert Bubak; two daughters, Audrey and Ardy; one sister, Ida Gianella; and five brothers, Alfred, Magnus, Olaf, Albert and Edward.

James "Bud" Monson
Funeral Service for James “Bud” Monson, 83, of Veblen, SD was held on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church, Sisseton, SD with the Rev. Darcy Ready officiating. Casket-bearers were Bud’s grandchildren--Cory Yammerino, Darin Yammer-ino, Jared Yammerino, RaNae Yammerino, Bracken Robinson, Maegan Dykstra, Cody Ringsaker, Colton Ringsaker, Caleb Ring-saker, Heath Butrum and Zayden Monson. Honorary Pallbearers were all of Bud’s Friends & Family. Organist was Gale Gleason. There was visitation held on Friday, March 23, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Cahill Funeral Chapel with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service. There was visitation on Saturday, one hour prior to services at the church. The Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton, SD was in charge of arrangements.
James “Bud” Monson was born on July 19, 1923 on the Monson homestead in McKinley Township, Marshall County near Veblen, SD to Orville J. and Mae (Jones) Monson. Bud attended grades 1-8 at McKinley Township Rural School #1 and grades 9-12 Sisseton High School. On June 8, 1951, Bud married Vivian Mussetter. Bud’s life was filled with many activities and lines of work. While his main occupation was farming/ ranching, he also loved to build and improve equipment, such as a farmhand on a Ford truck chassis, car crusher, cattle head gates, water system, and railroad tie picker. He taught his children and many nieces and nephews his love of horseback riding, working cattle, haying, fencing and farming. He loved to read, learn, visit, travel, garden and camp with his grandchildren, even playing volleyball at his 80th birthday party. He embraced life and enjoyed a challenge. He looked forward to attending family and school reunions, renewing and making connections. Bud was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Veblen, McKinley Township supervisor, McKinley School Board, NFO, Farmers Union, Traverse Electric Cooperative, Sisseton High School Alumni Association and LaCoteau Saddle Club. He and Vivian were honored to be the SHS Co-Alumni of the Year in 2003.
Bud is survived by his wife Vivian of Veblen, SD; one son and five daughters, Terry (Mary Kay) Monson of Veblen, SD, Susan Yammerino of Sisseton, SD, Holly (Keith) Butrum of Veblen, SD, Lauri (Bill) Fugate of Kadoka, SD, Carol (Clark) Ringsaker of Watertown, SD, and Lezli Monson of Gillette, WY; eleven grandchildren, Cory Yammerino, Darin Yammer-ino, Jared Yammerino, Bracken Robinson, RaNae Yammerino, Maegan (Klayton) Dykstra, Heath Butrum, Cody Ringsaker, Colton Ringsaker, Caleb Ringsaker and Zayden Monson; eight great-grandchildren, Carlee Vetch, ChyLea Yammerino, Kailee Rinas, Shainna Cook, Taryn Yammerino, Avery Yammerino, Anthony Yammerino and Jamie Lyn Dykstra; one brother, Irving Monson of Veblen, SD; two sisters, Alyce Spooner of Britton, SD, and Patricia Hofland of Claire City, SD; and many nieces and nephews.Bud was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Shannon Lynn Monson; a son-in-law, Jim Yammerino; and one special double cousin, Jim “Brud” Jones.

Charles Brandenburger
Charles John Brandenburger, age 70, Minneapolis, MN passed away March 7, 2007, at his home. Funeral Mass celebrated by Father Don Schwalm was on Monday, March 12, 2007, at the Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Fridley, MN, with visitation on Sunday evening at the funeral chapel. Interment was at the Sunset Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.Charles was born January 12, 1937, to Nick and Mary (Braun) Brandenburger at the family farm of rural White Rock, SD. Charles attended school at Rosholt Independent School, Rosholt, SD.
Growing up Charles worked on the family farm. He was an enlisted member of the South Dakota National Guard prior to entering the U.S. Air Force on November 15, 1956, and was honorably discharged on November 14, 1960.During military service he earned the following medals: Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Out-standing Unit Award, and Air Force Longevity Service Award. Following his military service Charles worked in Minneapolis and continued working as a punch press machinist for many years before retiring.Charles married Jeanette Mary Kudak Toenjes on November 9, 1963, at Immaculate Conception Church, Columbia Heights, MN. Their children and family include Cathy Baxter and Roy Chester, Robby and Kathy Toenjes, Judy and Ray Kloncz, Peggy Branden-burger, Tim Brandenburger and April Deel; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.Chuck's hobbies included hunting, fishing, and drinking coffee. He enjoyed his family and time with the grandchildren and was an active member of the Lions Club. He spent many hours up North at the cabin by McGregor perfecting his Northern Pike fishing and enjoying his birds. When not bird watching he was busy cooking, singing Karaoke, visiting or emailing his family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one grandson, Kenny; one brother, Nicholas; and three sisters, Bernice Sander, Irene Fleisch-hacker Euge, and Florence Bran-denburger; and brothers-in-law, Milton Lonnee, Gerald Virnig, Elmer Sander, Joseph Fleisch-hacker, Vaughn Euge, Leonard Sluss, and Charles Lind.Those remaining are his wife; five children and their families; three brothers, Walter and Avis Brandenburger, Paul and Marlene Brandenburger, and Arthur and Connie Brandenburger; five sisters, Charlotte Lonnee, Evelyn Virnig, Dorothy Huehn, Mary and Donald Robertson, and Shirley Lind; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ardys Lorensberg
Ardys Lorensberg, 66 of Roslyn, SD died on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Her funeral was at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2007 at Fron Lutheran Church near Roslyn, Janet Johnson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Visitation was at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster on Sunday, June 17, 2007, 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and prior to services on Monday.
Ardys Marie (Rossier) Lorensberg was born on Sunday, January 19, 1941 to Rose (Rossier) Thorsness on the Rossier family farm near Lake City, SD. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lake City. She attended country school near her home.On March 25, 1972 she married Raydon Lorensberg at Webster, SD. After their marriage the couple lived in Lake City and Roslyn before moving to the Lorensberg family farm in Independence Township, Day County northwest of Roslyn. She was employed at Dakotah, Inc. in Eden and also in Webster until she retired in 1996 after working for sixteen years. Also in 1996 the couple retired from farming and moved into Roslyn. She was a member of Fron Lutheran Church near Roslyn where she was active in Circle and Ladies Aide. She enjoyed reading, sewing, baking and spending time with her friends, family and especially her granddaughter, Haley. Ardys was a kind and caring person and enjoyed giving to others.
Ardys passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 66 years, 4 months and 26 days. Survivors include her husband, Raydon of Roslyn; two sons, Kent (Sara) Lorensberg of Roslyn, SD and Scott Lorensberg of Aberdeen, SD; one daughter, Kimberly Lorensberg of Sisseton, SD; a granddaughter, Haley Lorensberg of Roslyn, SD; two sisters, Debbie (Phil) Hannasch of Britton, SD and Mary Ellen Engelman of Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Larry (LeAnn) Thorsness of Round Rock, TX and David (Peggy) Thorsness of Rapid City, SD; and a sister-in-law, Debbie Thorsness of Warner, SD. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and one brother, Donald Thorsness.

Howard Koth
Howard H. Koth, 76, of Yorba Linda, CA died Tuesday, March 27, 2007.Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church in St. Paul. The Rev. Revel Matheke officiated. Burial was in the South Logan Cemetery, north of St. Paul, with military honors by Carl Mogensen American Legion Post 116 of St. Paul.Visitation was from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.
Mr. Koth was born June 27, 1930, at Wilton, ND to William and Pauline Koth.Survivors of the immediate family include: his wife, JoAnn Berst Koth of Yorba Linda, CA; a daughter, Tami Koth of San Diego, CA; a son and daughter-in-law, Brettley and Mona Koth of Lexington, VA; and a brother, Vernal Victor Koth of Covina, CA.Additional survivors include a grandson, Henry; a niece, Laura Koth of San Francisco, CA; and a nephew, David Koth of North Hollywood, CA.He was raised in Veblen, SD. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea. He was a graduate of the University of south Dakota. He was united in marriage to JoAnn Berst in 1958. The couple moved to California. Howard began a career with the Northrop Corporation that would last 36 years, as an internal operations auditor.Howard was a member of the American Legion Post 0679, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9030, and was a 46-year, lifetime member of BPO Elks Lodge 2046 of Buena Park, CA.Memorials are suggested to South Logan Cemetery.

Marvin Duane Pederson
Funeral Services for Marvin Duane (Super Pete) Pederson were held on Sunday, June 2, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at Fron Lutheran Church, Starbuck, MN with Reverend John Beem officiating. Organist was Monica Gosseling. Interment was at the Fron Lutheran Cemetery, Starbuck, MN with the Starbuck VFW Honor Guard performing military honors.Marvin Duane Pederson, son of Helmer Sr. and Serina (Aadland) Pederson, was born May 17, 1923 in New Effington, SD, where he grew up and was baptized and confirmed at Ferkingstad Lutheran Church.
Marvin attended and graduated from New Effington High School. In 1942, Marvin enlisted in the United States Army, where he served in WWII as a Staff Sergeant. In 1945, he received an honorable discharge. Following his discharge, he moved to Minneapolis, MN, where he worked at Fairway Foods and also met his future bride. On June 20, 1948 he was united in marriage to Rosalie Mold in Sunrise, MN. Following their marriage, the couple moved to Starbuck, where they raised their children and owned and operated Pederson’s Super Market. Rosalie died on March 18, 1992. Marvin continued to run the Super Market, until his retirement in 1994. In 2005, he moved into the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck, where he continued to live until the time of his death.Marvin was a member of the Starbuck VFW, American Legion, Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce, Son’s of Norway and the Masonic Lodge in Glenwood.Marvin liked to travel, running his business, playing pool and cards. He enjoyed music and entertaining, especially the piano, organ, harpsichord and the guitar. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.Marvin died on Friday, May 25, 2007 at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood, MN having lived to reach the age of 84 years.
He is survived by two sons: Richard (Deborah) Pederson of Brooklyn Park, MN and Blaine (Karla) Pederson of Starbuck, MN; ten grandchildren: Trevor Pederson (Kristeen Hammond) of Glenwood, MN; Troy Pederson (Karla Stone) of Glenwood, MN; Trent (Tracy) Pederson of Alamogordo, NM; Tricia Pederson of Starbuck, MN; Sarah Pederson of Willmar, MN; Andrew Pederson of Starbuck, MN; Alicia Pederson of Starbuck, MN; Kayla Pederson of Starbuck, MN; Charity (Eric) Baca of Brooklyn Center, MN and Cassidy Zimmerman (Rick Briggs) of Brooklyn Park, MN; nine great-grandchildren: Austin Pederson, Dylan Walker, Mariah Walker, Jordan Pederson, Bailey Pederson, Peyton Pederson, Hunter Blakeman, Noah Briggs-Zimmerman and Zachary Baca; two brothers: Kenneth (Ethel) Pederson of Franklin, IN; Helmer Jr. (Nyleen) Pederson of Bloomington, MN and three sister-in-laws: Marilyn Pederson of Minneapolis, MN; Irene Pederson of Minneapolis, MN; and Esther Pederson of Duluth, MN. He was preceded in death by his wife: Rosalie; one son: Ronald Pederson; parents: Helmer Sr. and Serina Pederson; three sisters: Martina (Gilford) Hill, Lenore (Ed) Moberg and Amy (Rolf) Lavik and six brothers: Theodore (Ethel) Pederson, Palmer (Alice) Pederson, Henry Pederson, Chester Pederson, Idan Pederson and Gordan Pederson.

Wendell Warren Erickson
Funeral Services for Wendell Warren Erickson, 77 of Sisseton, SD formerly of Sidney, MT were held on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Peever Lutheran Church, Peever, SD with the Rev. Steve Moberg officiating. Pallbearers were Bill Chilson, John Wilson, Elmer Wren, Neil Weeks, Elroy Madsen, and Kent Nielsen. Honorary Pallbearers were all of Wendell’s Family and Friends. Organist was Mona Greseth and soloist was Adam Rudebusch. Interment was in the Peever Cemetery, Peever, SD with military rites by the Otto-Quande-Renville American Legion Post #50 and Fort Sisseton VFW Post #3342. Visitation was held Wednesday, June 20, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Cahill Funeral Chapel. There was also visitation on Thursday, one hour prior to services at the church. The Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton, SD was in charge of arrangements.
Wendell Warren Erickson was born on March 25, 1930 at Sioux Falls to Erling and Hazel (Quarton) Erickson. Wendell’s mother passed away when he was two years old, and he was raised by his Aunt and Uncle George and Matilda Olsen. Wendell entered the United States Army on September 1951 and served until July 1953 during the Korean War. He received the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars and the United Nations Service Medal. He was Honorably discharged in 1959 from Army Reserves. Wendell resided in Oregon for a few years before moving to Sidney, MT where he worked for the Holly Sugar Factory until his retirement. In 2004 he moved back to South Dakota where he has been a resident of the Tekakwitha Living Center in Sisseton, SD. Wendell passed away on June 17, 2007 at the Tekakwitha Living Center. Wendell enjoyed dancing, watching TV and visiting with relatives and friends.
Wendell is survived by one half-brother, Mervin and Betty Erickson of Peever, SD; seven half-sisters, Janice (Elmer) Wren of South Wilmington, IL; Gayle Lotzer of Sisseton, SD; Judy (Roger) Crooks of Sisseton, SD; Sandy (Elroy) Madsen of Wilmot, SD; Susie (Neil) Weeks of Browns Valley, MN; Glenda (Randy) Rudebusch of Castlewood, SD; Carol (Kent) Nielsen of Peever, SD; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Erickson of Butte, MT; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Wendell was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Arden Erickson, his aunt and uncle George and Matilda Olsen, stepmother, Lillian Erickson, half-brother, Raymond Erickson, paternal grandparents, Martin and Othelia Erickson, and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Quarton.
