Sherry Godsey Goodman, age 41 of Maryville, died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, May 28, 2002. She was a member of Dotson Memorial Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her grandfather, Joseph V. Cornett; and aunt, Jana S. Ganzel.
Sherry is survived by her family, son, Joshua Goodman; father and mother, Jack and Martha Godsey; sister, Teresa Winters and husband, Jeff; nieces, Mallory and Lexie Winters; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Dotson Memorial Baptist Church followed by a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor John Coates officiating. McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville in charge 982-6812

BARBARA GAYLE BOLING
Barbara Gayle Boling, 53, Rockford, died Sunday, May 26, at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Survivors: son, Randy Hickman, Knoxville; grandchildren, Hannah, Amber; sisters, Linda Amick, Bobbie Jones, Maryville; brothers, Charles Boling, Ricky Boling.
Interment will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Clark's Grove Cemetery. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

ALAN STEPHEN (STEVE) HURST
Alan Stephen (Steve) Hurst, age 50 of Maryville died Saturday, May 25, 2002 at the University of Tennessee Memorial Hospital. He previously lived and worked in Atlanta, GA and enjoyed bicycling, art, playing the organ and guitar.
Preceded in death by: father, Paul Hurst.
Survivors include: wife, Sharon Hurst; son, Marcus Hurst; daughter, Emily Hurst; step-daughter, Abby Moore and husband Jackie; mother and stepfather, Reba and Harry Johns; brother, Sunny Hurst and wife Florence; sister, Nancy Lambert and husband Richard; mother of children, Pamela Hurst.
Funeral service was at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2002 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary. Entombment will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at Grandview Cemetery. Friends called at their convenience after 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at Smith Mortuary. Family received friends from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2002, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000.

JOHN P. MCCLELLAN
John P. McClellan, age 41, father of Brian; son of Pat of TN and Jack of FL; brother of James A. (Audrey) and Ronald; grandson of Marie Lycans of FL; uncle of Nick and Ryan, died May 24, 2002 in Parma, Ohio.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, at Shady Grove cemetery in Miser Station. Arrangements by Malloy Memorial Svc. of Cleveland, OH.

BERLINE W. NORMAN
Norman, Berline W. age 78 of Maryville, went to heaven, Monday, May 27, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She is preceded in death by husband, Alvin T. Norman; mother, Edna Mae Keeler; and an infant son.
Survivors: daughters, Ann Norman of Maryville, Barbara Oliver and Teresa Long both of Texas; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and cousins; special friends, Alfred and Helen Hindman, Rosemary Crowe and Kate Burchfield. Family and friends will meet at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2002 at Chattanooga National cemetery in Chattanooga, TN. for graveside service and interment, Rev. Larry Bradley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Victory Baptist Church Building Fund, 1025 Montvale Station Road, Maryville, TN. 37803. Family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

PAUL H. RUSSELL
Paul H. Russell of Pompano Beach, FL, born Nov. 9, 1919. died May 27, 2002.
Survived by sister and brother-in-law, Sandra Marie and Thomas Clyde Phillips of Pompano Beach, FL, and formerly of Maryville.

WESLEY ALLEN BAGGETT
Wesley Allen Baggett, 35, of Louisville passed away in his sleep Sunday, May 26 at his residence.
The First Tennessee Bank employed Wesley as a computer expert.
His mother, Martha Kathleen Allen Baggett, preceded him in death.
His father and stepmother, Leonard P. and Mary E. Baggett of Kodak; brother, Michael Leonard Baggett of the Florida Keys; stepbrother and stepsister, David McGill and Annie Hancock of Kodak survive Wesley. Besides the immediate family members, several uncles, aunts and a host of friends will miss Wesley.
Service will be 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 29 at Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Joe Hancock and Rev. Wayne Stinnett officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 30 at Beech Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 29 at Rawlings Funeral Home.
Rawlings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

LESTER L. LOVEDAY
Lester L. Loveday, age 79 of Maryville died Saturday, May 25, 2002 at Asbury Acres Health Care Center. He was a Veteran of WW II and the retired owner of Modern Armature and Motor Works.
Preceded in death by parents, brothers, and sisters.
Survivors include wife, Jimmie Ruth Loveday; son, Victor Lynn Loveday Sr. and friend Cindy Blanchard of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda K. and Ray O'Connor of Acworth, GA; grandson and spouse, Victor Lynn Jr. and Chasidy Loveday of Maryville; great grandson, Issac Loveday and India; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Marvin Russell and Kay Ealy; and a host of many other friends.
Graveside service and Entombment will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel with the Military Chaplain officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church cemetery Fund, 503 Pleasant Hill Road, Maryville, Tennessee 37803. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel. Military honors will be provided by East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. HOWELL E. PRESLEY, SR.
Presley, Howell E., Sr. age 85 of Tellico Plains, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. A self-employed barber in Tellico Plains for over 50 years, a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII. Member of Unaka Masonic Lodge # 651 F & AM.
Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Tony Watkins; son and daughter-in-law, Howell jr. and Phyllis Presley, all of Maryville; granddaughters and spouse: Katie and Tim Bynum, Jacksonville, Fl., Mandy Presley, Maggie Watkins, both of Maryville; great-grandson Aidan Bynum, Jacksonville, Fl.; sister, Louise Presley, Adamsville; several sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by wife Lillian 'Boots' Presley; parents, John B. and Zora N. Britton Presley; several sisters and brothers.
Family and friends will meet at Tellico Plains City cemetery at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2002 for graveside service and interment. Rev. William R. Childress and Rev. Bill Moore officiating. Special thanks to all the wonderful people at Wellington Place Maryville Assisted Living for all their help and support.

BESSIE L. THOMPSON
Thompson, Bessie L. age 91 of Greenback died Sunday May 26 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Meadow United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Warren W. Thompson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Grady and Nora Thompson, and daughter and son-in-law Jane and Bill Satterfield, all of Greenback; grandchildren, Lori and Mike Guillemet, Traci Satterfield, Julie Ricketts, Marcus Satterfield and Abby Satterfield; great-grandchildren, Samuel Ricketts and Riley Guillemet, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dwight Cagle and Rev. Steve Tuck officiating. The interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pine Grove cemetery in Greenback. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

ZELLA MAE BRYANT
Zella Mae Bryant, age 76 of Townsend died Friday, May 24, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church. preceded in death by: husband, Elmer Bryant; daughter, Mary June Bryant; mother, Lula Caldwell.
Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Pete and Carol Bryant of Lenoir City, John Dewey and Fay Bryant of Maryville, Kenneth and Nancy Bryant of Townsend, Ejhugh and Dianne Bryant of Townsend, Jack and Faye Bryant of Townsend, Roy and Betty Bryant of Townsend; son, Terry Bryant of Townsend; daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Jack Moss of Townsend, Brenda and Butch Russell of Townsend; daughter, Lula "Tinker" Bryant of Townsend; 24 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m., Monday, May 27, 2002 in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Rick Clowers officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church cemetery for the interment. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2002, West Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000.
