Larry Alvin Cornwell, 50, died October 25, 2004 in Jacksonville, FL. Larry served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam War Veteran. preceded in death by parents, Beecher James and Dorothy Hampton Cornwell; brothers, Charles Roger and Beecher James Jr. He is survived by his wife, Vivian; children, Kenny, Amanda, Bridget, Danny and Joey Cornwell; stepson, Jonathan Sawyer; brother, Gary; sisters, Wanda Reid, Vivian Shields and Gloria Martin; half-brother and sister, Brian and Denise Cornwell; sister-in-law, Brenda Cornwell; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews; and special family members, sister and brother-in-law, Kyla and Thomas Walker; and cousin, Dennis Cornwell. The family will host a celebration of life gathering at the home of Vivian Shields, 3640 Louisville Road on October 31, 2004 from 2 p.m. til 6 p.m. Family and friends are invited to come and share their own special memories of Larry. Burial arrangements in Murphy, NC are incomplete. In lieu of flowers, donations to help defray funeral expenses can be mailed to Vivian Shields.

MITCHELL WAYNE HALL
Mitchell Wayne Hall, age 25, passed away Monday evening October 25, 2004 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He attended William Blount High School and was an employee of Good Neighbor Fence Co. preceded in death by: grandmother, Virginia Hamilton. Survivors include: parents, Ray and Sandy Hall of Louisville; grandmother, Carolyn King; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m., Friday, October 29, 2004 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Minister Benny Hackler officiating. Interment will be at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, October 30, 2004 at Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m., Friday, October 29, 2004, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000

JONATHAN MICHAEL BILTON
Jonathan Michael Bilton, age 15 of Maryville, passed away Monday, October 25, 2004 at East Tennessee Children's Hospital. He attended Friendship Baptist Church and was also a student at William Blount High School. He was always active in the Special Olympics. preceded in death by his grandmother, Mildred Hedrick. Survivors include his mom and dad, Donna and Lamar Hedrick; brother, Jordan Hedrick; grandparents, Donnie and Doris Bilton of Holly Hill, South Carolina; special friend, Diana Henderlight of Maryville; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at Friendship Baptist Church (3310 Old Niles Ferry Rd, Maryville TN), Dr. Scott Campbell, Rev. Mike Arp and Rev. Jimmy Riner officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church cemetery for the interment service. Memorial donations may be made to The Gate, P.O. Box 5024, Maryville TN 37802. Family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Friendship Baptist Church. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

EDWARD BRUCE KELSO
Edward Bruce Kelso, age 57 of Maryville, passed away Monday afternoon, October 25, 2004 at Fort Sanders Parkwest Hospital. He was of the Baptist Faith. preceded in death by: parents, Ernest and Willie Kelso; son, Scott Kelso; brothers, Gene, J.R., Chester, and Clyde Kelso. Survivors include: wife, Linda Kelso; children, Wendell Kelso, Tracy Quiett, and Darin Kelso all of Maryville; grandchildren, Chelsey Caldwell and Noah Kelso; brothers, Arthur, Clifford, Hugh and David Kelso all of Maryville; sisters, Alice Stargel, Christine Kelso, Barbara Bradford all of Maryville and Shirley Duncan of Georgia. Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2004, in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Clifton Hearon and Allen Mays officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 28, 2004 at Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2004, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000.

PAUL ALLEN KETCHUM
Paul Allen Ketchum, age 50 of Greenback, passed away Monday, October 25, 2004. He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and was a Global Manager for World Wide Interactive Network. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Ketchum.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Ketchum of Greenback; daughter, Kacie Ketchum; sons, Scott and Brian Ketchum; father and stepmother, Albert and Winona Ketchum of Marissa, IL; sisters, Anita Zinn of Greenback and Ruth Kay of Bloomington, IN; brother, John Ketchum of Nashville, IL; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Axley's Chapel cemetery for the interment service.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Fairview United Methodist Church followed by a 7:30 p.m. memorial service with Dr. Jerry Russell and Dr. Mark Gooden officiating.
Memorials may be made to Axley's Chapel United Methodist Church or Fairview United Methodist Church.

HERMAN GRADY ARMS SR.
Herman Grady Arms Sr., 78, of Oak View, died Sunday, October 24, 2004, at home.
Herman was born in Sulphur, Oklahoma on March 20, 1926 to Thomas and Ruby (Dilbeck) Arms. The first of eight children, he attended school in Harden City, OK, and then joined the United States Navy, serving on the USS Loonis and the USS Shangri-La, in the Asiatic Pacific Campaign and Philippine Liberation Campaign. He was discharged as Electrician's Mate Third Class.
Herman married Ruth Rivers in 1948, and the couple had two children, Sally and Herman Jr. They came to Ventura County in 1954, making Oak View their home base. Herman retired from Global Marine Drilling Co. (offshore oil), as a superintendent in 1986, after 30 years of working around the world. Ruth even said he was married to the ship first, then her.
He loved his family and his job, and made friends all over the world. His saddest year was 1983, when he lost Ruth and Herman Jr. in death just 41 days apart.
Herman leaves behind his new wife, Carolyn (Wimpee) Arms, of Oak View; daughter, Sally Hulsey and (husband) Mac of Ojai; foster daughter, Linda (Clifton) Bivins and (husband) Clyde of Bakersfield; brothers, Thomas Jerry Arms and (wife) Wanda of Maryville, Tenn., Harold Arms of Long Beach, CA, sister Reba Sue Cunningham and (husband) Mike of Fresno; grandchildren Matthew Hulsey and (wife) Christina, Laura Hulsey, Herman James Arms, Joseph Arms and (wife) Kauly, Rhonda Schuette and (husband) Jim, Nicole Howard and (husband) Tim, all of Bakersfield, CA; 11 great-grandchildren; and stepchildren Paul Miller and (wife) Kim, and Sonia Miller, all of Oak View.
He was preceded in death by his wife, son, three brothers and one sister. His parents died in August 2001.
Visitations will be held from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 26 and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Rd., Ventura. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Rd., Ventura, with the Reverend Jim Wells officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, Ventura.

GARY EDWARD FREEMAN
Gary Edward Freeman, 58 of Maryville died Sunday October 24, 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents: Oscar and Reta Bowers Freeman; sons, Gary and Tim Freeman; brother, Eugene Delano Freeman; and sister, Rachael Mealer. Survivors include his children: Richard Click and Justin Freeman; former wife, Linda Freeman; three grandchildren; nephew and wife, Eddie and Veronica Freeman; Brothers, Ira B. Freeman of Akron, OH, Ronnie and Ruth Freeman of Maryville, and Allen Freeman of Louisville; sisters, Elevena Wright of Powell, Sylvia Steele of Akron, OH, and Alice and Herbert Bales of Cincinnati, OH; many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday October 26, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Walker officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home to proceed to Sherwood Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

BESSIE HAZEL DELOZIER LAW
Bessie Hazel DeLozier Law, age 100 of Maryville went to be with the Lord Sunday afternoon October 24, 2004, at Asbury Place of Maryville. Charter member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. preceded in death by husband, Robert T. Law; son, Benny A. Law; daughters-in-law, Elizabeth Alene Law, Tony Law; grandchildren, Ray Law, Billy Law, Patsy Ann Law.
Survivors: sons, Howard E. Law of Alcoa, Bobby Dale Law of Stephenson, VA; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth V. Law of Maryville; grandchildren and spouses, Angie and Dennis Hutchens, Benny and Brenda Law, Pam and John Blackford, Tommy and Karen Law, Danny and Betty Harris, Barron and Stacy Anderson, Craig and Jennifer Pingley, Charlie Law; great-grandchildren and spouses, David and Shelly Anderson, Travis Law, Daniel Harris, Holly Hutchens, Lacy Hutchens, Jeremy and Lindsey Law, Bryan Law, Stephanie Withrow, Chris Law, Brandy Anderson, Beth Blackford, Mallory Blackford, Ali Blackford, Jeb Pingley; great-great-grandchildren, Molly, Maggie, KayLee Anderson, Chase Withrow, Shayla Withrow; several nieces and nephews. DENNIS SPARKS
Dennis Sparks, age 50 of South Knoxville passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2004 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the Galilee Baptist Church. preceded in death by his mom, Ruth Sparks, and dad, James Rancy Sparks. He is survived by his son, James Rancey Sparks; and his mother, Diane Sparks Bennett; brother, Ken and wife Carol Sparks; sister, Deanie and husband Charles Hood; nieces and nephews, Chad and wife Darla Sparks, Chanda and husband Chad Childress, Michelle Hood, Tonya and husband Larry Jonhson; and several other special family and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. with Funeral Service at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Highland South with Chad Sparks officiating. Family and friends will assemble for Interment Services at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at Highland South Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremation 573-7300.

REGINA `REGE' SIMMONS WISEHEART
Regina "Rege" Simmons Wiseheart, , born November 2, 1928 in Meadville, PA, passed away October 23, 2004 at Asbury Acres Nursing Home in Maryville, TN after a lengthy illness. Remembered as a loving wife and mother. Patient, kind, giving, incredibly funny and "mother" to lots of neighborhood kids. Former substitute teacher and volunteer for Mobile Meals. Survived by husband, Oran; daughter, Diane and husband Ward; daughter, Suzy and husband Bruce; daughter, Linda; and son, Paul; grandchildren: Katy, Allison, and Evan. Private funeral will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimers Association, 2200 Sutherland Avenue, Suite H-102, Knoxville, TN 37919 or Senior Companions, PO Box 51650, Knoxville, TN 37950. Berry Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

WALKER, MARIA "NELLY, " 63, Maryville, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Eddie C. Walker; daughters, Nelly L. Turner and Ivas M. Walker all of Maryville; three grandchildren; three brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Maryville Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The entombment will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 tonight at the Church.

JUNE EVELYN BURCHFIELD
June Evelyn Burchfield, age 65, of Maryville, died Saturday, October 23, at Baptist Hospital.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Cindy Burchfield of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Wayne Thompson of Maryville; grandchildren, Stephanie Burchfield and fiancé Drew Robinson, Ashley Burchfield, Michael Thompson, Maleah Thompson; and three great-grandchildren Chase, Blakely, Sophia Robinson; and mother Madilyn Wilkerson; brothers, Randy and Ricky Wilkerson; and sister, Sandra Milburn; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cameron Crisp and Rev. Roger Price officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Old Kagley cemetery for the interment.

CLYDE R. HEATON
Clyde R. Heaton, age 84, of Maryville, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2004, at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Lula Largent Heaton; several brothers and sisters. He was retired from ALCOA.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Jessie Dodd Heaton; sons, Coy Heaton and wife Pat, of Maryville, Troy Heaton and wife Carolyn, of Tellico; daughter, Dottie Kidd and husband Bob, of Alcoa; sister-in-law, Clara Heaton, of Maryville; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rex Everett and Rev. Sam Melton officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Grandview cemetery for the interment service.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the employees of Colonial Hills Nursing Home.

DANNY RAY HOLBERT
Danny Ray Holbert, age 44, Old McGinley Drive, Maryville, TN, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2004, at his home. Preceded in death: father, Irvin Dan Holbert, Jr.; grandfathers and grandmothers, Frank and Bessie Mogridge, Irvin, Sr. and Florence Holbert; uncles and aunts Clyde and Louise Mogridge, George and Alice Mogridge; cousins, Joe and David Mogridge. Survivors: Mother and stepfather, Hazel Holbert Tipton and Hugh Tipton of Maryville; sisters, Vicky Holbert Fay and Debbie Havens of Maryville, Connie Gosnell and husband Larry of Greenback, Judy Worthington of Knoxville; special uncle and aunt, Jake and Ruth Mogridge of Maryville; special nieces, nephews and cousins. Dan is known for his big heart and unique talent in home framing designs. He assisted in developing the family estate and we are so very proud of his accomplishments. He will be missed beyond words.
