HARRISON, Nancy Trixie, age 88 of Winchester, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005 at her residence. She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Will Taylor and the late Bertha Wiseman Taylor. Mrs. Harrison was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, P.O. Harrison; a son, Taylor Harrison; daughter-in-law, Thelma Jo Harrison; granddaughter, Carol Ann Harrison; and a grandson, Gary Wayne Harrison. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Jerry) Crownover of Winchester; three sons, Wayne (Carolyn) Harrison of Moore County, Jim (Patty) Harrison of Decherd and Glen (Trixie Hill) Harrison of Moore County; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005 at 1 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Hasting officiating. HUDSON, Jolene M., of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Winchester, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005 after nearly a five-year battle with ovarian cancer. Jolene was a long-time secretary through many pastors at the First United Methodist Church in Winchester. Left to mourn her passing are her loving husband of 47 years, Charles Pete Hudson; a son, Chuck Hudson of Cherokee Park Ranch, CO; a daughter, Hope Hudson of Knoxville; brother-in-law, Wayne Nuckolls; sister-in-law, Pat Nuckolls; niece, Kim Nuckolls, all of Winchester; nephew, Kyle Nuckolls; special grand-nephews Hudson and Graham of Nashville; and a host of old friends in Winchester. It was Jolene’s wish to be cremated and a celebration of her life was held in Knoxville on Friday, Dec. 2, 2005. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Winchester. PEOPLES, Winona Harmon, age 78 of Shelbyville, TN died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005 at Bedford County Nursing Home. She was a native of Manchester, TN, a retired seamstress and a member of the Estill Springs Church of God. She was the daughter of the late Jim Dewell and the late Nancy Anna Hittson Harmon. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ostell Benton "O.B." Peoples of Shelbyville; three sons, Carl Peoples and Clyde Peoples of Shelbyville and Wayne Peoples of Bell Buckle; two daughters, Wanda Hartley of College Grove and Diane Meador of Huntland; a brother, Russell Harmon of Shelbyville; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Hillcrest Funeral Home in Shelbyville with Todd Peoples and Mark Bolin officiating. SHETTERS, Linda Lee Harper, age 55 of Winchester, passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center. Linda was the previous owner of Country Haven Assisted Living in Cowan and has been a member of the Cross Roads Church of God for six years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lois Shetters; a brother, Johnny Shetters; and a sister, Sandra Gail Stevens. Linda is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jerry Ray Harper; a daughter, Candice Gail (Steve) Garrett of Cowan; two sons, Terry Ray (Pam) Harper and Kevin Lee (Amy) Harper of Cowan; a sister, Martha (Jimmy) Sherrill of Decherd; four brothers, William Henry (Jean) Shetters of Estill Springs, Donald Edward (Annie) Shetters of Winchester, Fred (Karen) Shetters of Decherd and Albert (Betty) Shetters of Cowan; five grandchildren, Christopher Harper, Joshlyn Binkley, Haley Harper, Kamron Harper and Sloan Garrett. The funeral service was conducted on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. from the Roy B. Watson Chapel of the Watson-North Funeral Home with Rev. O.L. Hart, officiating. CROWNOVER, Annie Clarice "Clara," age 91 of Decherd, passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2005 at her residence. She enjoyed doing crafts and she attended the Decherd United Methodist Church. Mrs. Crownover was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Crownover. She is survived by her daughter, Catharine (Ralph) Painter of Decherd; a son, Carl (Ann) Crownover of Decherd; a sister, Bobbie Wells of LaVergne; five grandchildren, Larry E. Crownover, Rebecca Crownover, Debbie (Mike) St. John, Nancy (Eric) Butler and Tish St. John; two great-grandchildren, Jeremy (Maria) Pickett and Jerica St. John; and great-great grandchild, Leah Pickett. The funeral service was conducted Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. from the Roy B. Watson Chapel of the Watson-North Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Brannon and Jerry Crownover officiating. MEEKS, Richard Arlen, age 64 of Montgomery, Ala. died Sunday, April 16, 2006 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester, Tenn. He was born in Detroit, Michigan and was a salesman. Mr. Meeks was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Silvani Meeks. He is survived by his fiancée, Elizabeth (and her daughter Aimee) Stagner; his daughter, Shelly Box of Wetumpka, Ala.; sons, Michael Meeks and Richard Alan Meeks, both of Montgomery, Ala.; a sister, Joyce (Gene) Zerkel of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren, Rachel, Chelsea and Cameron Box; and extended Meeks family and friends. Visitation was held on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 5 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Miriam Seyler officiating. MOSLEY, Walter, age 101 of Winchester, Tenn. died Monday, April 17, 2006 at Sunbridge Care for Winchester. He was born in Cowan, Tenn. and was a Mechanic. He was trained by his father, Benjamin Franklin Mosley as a blacksmith. He stopped the "ringing of the anvil" in 1921 when he shoed his last horse. He then switched to being an auto mechanic. During World War II, he worked at Camp Forrest as a mechanic. He and his partner, Pete Crownover, worked in Decherd in the auto mechanic business and as school bus drivers. Mr. Mosley was preceded in death by a son, Norman (Dippy) Moseley, three brothers, Arthur Moseley, Huleron (Buck) Mosley and Claude Mosley and sisters, Annie Mae Partin, Pearl Payne, Jean Weaver and Ester Mosley. Mr. Mosley is survived by a son, Lanny Moseley of Winchester; grandsons John of Boca Raton, Fla. and James of Alpharetta, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn of Alpharetta, Ga. and Austin of Boca Raton, Fla.; two nephews, Arthur Moseley, Jr. of Winchester and Harold Partin of Tullahoma; and five nieces, Ruby Marchant of Savannah, Ga., Mildred Sons of Blue Island, Ill., Dot Syler of Tullahoma, Louise Wilder of Winchester and Jeanie Moseley of Mariden, Ct. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Brown officiating. BRIGHT, Dusty Wayne, age 24, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2006. His biological father, Robert Wayne Schonemann, preceded him in death. Dusty is survived by his wife, Rhonda Bright; children, Dusty Wayne Bright II and Lonna Raye Bright of Estill Springs; parents, Victor and Teena Bright of Estill Springs; sisters, Christine and Sandra Bright of Estill Springs; maternal grandmother, Ellen Reynolds Buckner of Lakeland, Fla.; paternal grandmother, Charlotte Davis of Carlton County, Ga.; great-grandmother, Ruby G. Smith of Huntsville, Ala.; nephew, Tryston Isaiah Blair; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. MORRIS, Charlotte, age 67, of Estill Springs, Tenn. passed away Monday, April 17, 2006. Mrs. Morris was a member of the Oaklawn Baptist Church for over 30 years. She was an auxiliary member of the Capitol Hill Volunteer Fire Department, President of the Capitol Hill Community Center and was the owner and operator of Morris Grocery in Capitol Hill for over 25 years. Mrs. Morris’ parents, Fred and Jean Breitbarth and daughter, Debra Roberson, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bill Morris; daughters, Cheryl (John) Page of Capitol Hill and Pamela Morris of Estill Springs; sons, Gary (Eileen) Morris of Sacramento, Calif. and Bill "Spud" (Ronda) Morris, Jr. of Greensboro, N.C.; son-in-law, Chris Roberson of Pikeville; 11 grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters. The funeral service was conducted Thursday, April 20, 2006 at 2 p.m. from the Oaklawn Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Gardner officiating. Interment followed in Franklin Memorial Gardens. ALLEN, Tommy Harvey "Bulldawg," passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2006 at his home at the age of 53. He was born on Sept. 13, 1952 to Earlene Reed Holland (deceased). At the age of three, his aunt and uncle, William Harvey and Cora Bell Allen (both deceased) adopted him into their family. They had four other children, Robert Ghea of Tullahoma; Betty Turner of Winchester, Edna Daniels of Decherd and Virginia Fortenberry (deceased). He is survived by his three children, Bobbie Call (David) of Manchester, Deniece Allen and Willie Allen of Tullahoma and a stepson, Michael Rayburn of Great Britain (U.S. Navy). He is also survived by five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Victoria, Grace, Isabella and David Call, Jr. of Manchester and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 23 at 2 p.m. at the Christ Community Church, 716 Westside Dr., Tullahoma with Rev. Jim Zidan officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to an account at Traders National Bank in memory of Tommy Allen. SNELL, Donna Marie, age 46 passed away into rest on Thursday evening, April 13, 2006 at her home in Manchester where she was lovingly cared for by her family and friends. Donna courageously battled cancer for two years before she passed to meet her heavenly Father. She was dedicated to her family, friends and students at New Union Elementary School, where she served as an Educational Assistant. She taught Sunday school (2-3 year olds), chaired the Nursery Committee and sang in the choir at Trinity Baptist Church. She was a 1978 graduate of Woodbury High School where she was active in the Beta Club, Library Club, FHA, TOEC and Reading Club. Following high school, she worked in the financial services industry. Donna enjoyed riding Tennessee Walking Horses, was a seamstress, an avid collector of antiques and was an award winning amateur photographer (International Society of Photographers). She is survived by her husband, Bruce Snell of Manchester; son, Dustin Snell of Manchester; daughter, Bridget Snell of Manchester; parents, Harold and Hazel Vinson of Woodbury; sisters, Marlene Vinson of Smyrna and Teresa Russell of Antioch; a brother, Joe Vinson of Murfreesboro; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends, neighbors and loved ones. The family received friends at the visitation on Saturday evening, April 15, 2006 from 4-9 p.m. at Central Funeral Home. The funeral service was conducted on Sunday afternoon, April 16, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Baptist Church with Brother Sidney Gibson officiating. VAN HOOSER, Jay Hunter, age 17 of Bowling Green, Ky., died Tuesday, April 18, 2006 in Bowling Green, Ky. He was born in Dalton, Ga., the son of Gary C. Van Hooser of Bowling Green, Ky. and Debbie Roddy Van Hooser of Shelbyville. He was a junior at Greenwood High School and a member of the Hillvue Heights Church. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert H. Van Hooser. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his stepmother, Alesia Van Hooser of Bowling Green, Ky.; a brother, Nick Van Hooser of Bowling Green, Ky.; a sister, Christy Herring of Morehead, Ky.; two aunts; two uncles; paternal grandmother, Bobbie Van Hooser of Huntland; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Nancy Roddy of Winchester. Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Hillvue Heights Church. BROCK, Mary Louise, age 93 of Winter Haven, Fla., formerly of Plant City, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lance Brock and her son, Sidney Brock. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Brock and his wife Carol and Dempsey James Brock and his wife Janice; one daughter, Mary Rogers Faulkner and her husband Del; one brother, James Burton; one sister, Margaret (Tiny) Carr; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
