MARY ALICE (PRICE) KEY
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Alice (Price) Key, 59, of Alexandria, IN, were conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2003, from the North Chapel of Robert D. Loose Funeral Home in Anderson, IN. Burial was in Park View cemetery in Alexandria with Rev. Bill Ledbetter, Dailey McCowan, and Gilbert Mata officiating.

Mrs. Key died Monday, March 10 at St. John's Health System in Anderson. She was a graduate of Frankton High School and a lifelong resident of the Anderson area. She retired from Inland Fisher Guide Division of General Motors in 1995 and enjoyed family research/genealogy, outdoor flowers, and cooking with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed photographs, and was a good friend and mother. She will be greatly missed.

Born June 1, 1943, in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Earl Chester and Elsie Mae (Plummer) Price. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Sue Price and Donna Jean Price.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Elbert "Junior" Key; two children, Robert G. Key of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Michelle R. Ficklin and husband, Truitt, of Alexandria; a brother, William A. Price; two grandchildren, Brandon S. Key and Brittney N. Key, both of Alexandria; and special friends, Horace and Jean Matthews, as well as many well thought of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

FANNIE LEE DAVIS ANDERSON
Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie Lee Davis Anderson, 54, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial was in Copeland Chapel cemetery in White County with Bro. Fredie Copeland officiating.

Mrs. Anderson died Sunday, March 23 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a housewife and was of the Church of Christ faith. Born November 7, 1948, in White County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Carrie (Lawson) Sherrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Davis; and son, Jerry Ray.

Survivors include a longtime companion, Marc Anderson of Livingston; a daughter, Rebecca Odell of Warren, MI; two brothers, Ridley Sherrell and Robert Sherrell, both of Lansing, MI, and Waymon Sherrell of Moline, IL; three sisters, Nancy Knivee of Sarasota, FL, Linda Frady of Cookeville, and Mollin Partin of Interlocking, FL; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Scott Webb, Patrick Johnson, Bryant Odell, Lloyd Phillips, Jamie Sherrell, and Justin Sherrell.

WAYNE MITCHELL BERNARD
Mr. Wayne Mitchell Bernard, 75, a well-known real estate broker/ developer in Tennessee and Kentucky, died after an extended illness on Thursday, March 13, 2003, at his daughter Sheree's home in Hilham. No funeral services will be conducted, at Mr. Bernard's request.

Mr. Bernard lived and worked for many years in Overton County. He enjoyed a full and diverse life as a Shriner for 50 years, private pilot, outdoorsman, surveyor, and speculator in wildcat oil drilling. He hit the largest oil well strike ever drilled in this area.

Survivors include a son, Alan Bernard of Kodiak, AK; four daughters, Margaret (Bernard) Tonsing of Vallejo, CA, Martha Rider of Maryville, Sheree Bernard of Hilham; and Phyllis Bernard of Murfreesboro; and four grandchildren, Roberta Knight, Michael Knight, Derek Rider, and Alan James Bernard.

BILLIE HARLIN DANIELS
Funeral services for Mr. Billie Harlin Daniels, 67, of Monroe, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial was in Sells cemetery with Rev. Jerry Buck officiating.

Mr. Daniels died Thursday, March 27 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a member of the Assembly of God.

Born September 20, 1935, in Clay County, he was the son of the late Harlin and Claudine (Holman) Daniels.

Survivors include a wife, Cora Daniels of Monroe, four sons and three daughters-in-law, Billy Wayne Daniels, Waymon Daniels and Jane Parrott, Mark Daniels and Jennifer, all of Monroe, and Jamie Daniels and Tonya Walton of Gainesboro; four daughters and four sons-in-law, Sandy Hughes and Rick of Livingston, Carolyn Daniels and Bill Smith, Rita McDonald and Gary McDonald, all of Monroe, and Jane Maxfield and Charlie of Allons; three brothers, Chatt Daniels, John Dudley Daniels, and Joe Daniels, all of Monroe; four sisters, Geraldine Bowers and Sadie Neal, both of Monroe, Janice Goodpasture of Harriman, and Joyce Stark of Arizona; seven grandchildren, Amy Beaty, Jennifer Maxfield, Charlie Maxfield, Daniel Maxfield, James Maxfield, Kadesha McDonald, and Benjamin Daniels; and a great grandchild, Jon Kelton Beaty.

ZANDEL KEITH FLOWERS
Funeral services for Mr. Zandel Keith Flowers, 42, of Albany, KY, were conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2003, from the chapel of Crestlawn Funeral Home in Byrdstown. Burial was in Smyrna cemetery in Pickett County with Tom Jones officiating.

Mr. Flowers died Tuesday, March 25 in Albany. He was a laborer.

Born January 16, 1961, in Albany, he was the son of the late Hollis and Betty (Conley) Flowers.

Survivors include a son, Chris Flowers of Livingston; two daughters, Beverly Flowers and Belinda Flowers, both of Livingston; a brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Beverly Flowers of Albany; and a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Mike Owens of Rickman.

Pallbearers were Greg Flowers, Justin Owens, Curtis Tuck, Jerry Tuck, Paul Conley, and Bob Smith.

DR. ROBERT B. JOHNSON
Funeral services for Dr. Robert B. Johnson, 72, of Livingston, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2003, from the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ithaca cemetery in Ithaca, MI, with Pastor Virgil Cobel officiating.

Dr. Johnson died Sunday, March 30 at NHC of Cookeville.

Born January 2, 1931, in New York Mills, MN, he was the son of the late Clifford Leland and Lulu Mae (Barnhart) Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by a brother, Dr. Richard Johnson.

Dr. Robert Johnson was born on a farm in the same house as his father. He obtained his elementary education in the Ottertail County Rural School system in northern Minnesota and completed his preparation on the secondary level at Maplewood Academy in Hutchinson, MN. He entered Emmanuel Missionary College (Andrews University) in Berrien Springs, MI, where his uncle Alvin W. Johnson was presiding as president, and graduated with a B.A. degree in Biology in 1952. His marriage to Betty Jean Shaver in Dryden, MI, on June 4, 1951, began 51 years of loving commitment. He received his M.D. degree from the College of Medical Evangelists (Loma Linda University) in Loma Linda, CA, in 1957.

After completing his medical training he entered one year rotating internship at Pontiac General Hospital in Pontiac, MI. Having entered the United States Navy Reserve as ensign in 1955, he was promoted to lieutenant (Medical Corps) in 1957. He served two years of active duty at the United States Navy Recruiting Station in Chicago, IL, from 1958 to 1960, and was honorably discharged from the United States Navy Reserve in 1963. In 1960 he entered General Practice in Ithaca, MI, practicing at Gratiot Community Hospital in Alma, MI, a partnership that was to continue until his retirement in 1988. He was certified by the American Board of Family Practice in 1962, an accreditaion that he held throughout his career. He served as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University, teaching in the department of Family Medicine. He was a dedicated practitioner taking care of successive generations of families in the Gratiot County area for many years.

He began as a country physician, going on numerous house calls and making weekly nursing home rounds. He practiced as a solo practitioner for long periods of time having dedicated himself to serve the needs of the community. He was a member of many organizations and prided himself in the quality of his medical care. He was an avid stamp collector and hobbyist and a talented sportsman enjoying many years of playing golf, tennis, and racquetball. He was an amateur pilot and enjoyed flying for many years. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 1983, influencing his early retirement and he subsequently took up residence in Livingston, where he was to spend his remaining years.

He was a lifetime member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, being officially baptized in Hewett, MN, in 1944. He believed, taught, and lived the church's principles throughout his life. He dedicated many hours of service to the church and every moment of his to the Christian message that the church espoused.

Survivors include his wife Betty (Shaver) Johnson of Livingston; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Dr. John Clough of Livingston; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Ronald and Kathleen Johnson of Anaheim, CA, and Donald and Susie Johnson of Chattanooga; two sisters, Pat Hight of Paradise, CA, and Betty Simental of San Bernadino, CA; a brother, Jerry Johnson of New Orleans, LA; and eight grandchildren: Adam Clough, Aaron Clough, Nichalos Clough, Shania Clough, Dustin Johnson, Breanna Johnson, Benjamin Johnson, and Nicolas Johnson.

EDDIE LOGAN
Funeral services for Mr. Eddie Logan, 80, of Byrdstown, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial will be in Reeder cemetery with Bro. Randy Tompkins officiating. Mr. Logan died Sunday, March 30 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He worked in railroad construction and was also employed by a lumber company.

Born August 14, 1922, in Pickett County, he was the son of the late Ed and Lou (Wilburn) Logan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Vallard Logan, Valver Logan, and William Logan; and two sisters, Versie Logan and Merlie Logan.

Survivors include three sisters, Erlsie Hooks and Martha Jones, both of Sulfer Springs, IN, and Rosie Bryant of Muncie, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Timmy Brannum, Phillip Brannum, Ernie Rigney, Eugene Shewmake, P.J. Evans, and Jimmy Rigney.

Lillie Ann (Bilbrey) Sauer
Lillie Ann (Bilbrey) Sauer, 79, of Lakeville, IN, and formerly of Livingston, left this life to become an angel with our Lord on Sunday, March 16, 2003. Burial was in Bremen cemetery in Bremen, IN.

Born April 25, 1933, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Bilbrey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eastel Bilbrey.

Survivors include her husband, Floyd Sauer of Lakeville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmie and Debbie Davis of Amboy, IN, and Tony and Dorothy Davis of Osceola, IN; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Comer and Irene Bilbrey of Marion, IN, and Joe and Joann Bilbrey of Lafontaine, IN; four grandchildren, Donna Copeland and husband Seth and Barbara Dale and husband Jack, all of Livingston, Terry Davis and wife Carole of Nashville, and Kessie Davis of South Bend, IN; four great grandchildren, April Dale, Megan Dale, and Nathan Dale, all of Livingston, and Lashyra Davis of South Bend; and very special friends, James and Glenda Tinsley, Dean Brown, Nannie Lee Wilson, and Martha and Chalmer Nolan, all of Livingston.

RONDA MARLENE (SULLIVAN)
Weber Funeral services for Mrs. Ronda Marlene (Sullivan) Weber, 39, were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2003, from the chapel of Rickman-Hall Funeral Home. Burial was in Hunter Cove cemetery in Allons.

Mrs. Sullivan died Saturday, March 15 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Born July 16, 1963, in Overton County, she was the daughter of O.L. Sullivan and Rose Sullivan, both of Rickman.

Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her husband, Robert Weber of Livingston; her grandmother, MaryLou Sullivan of Rickman; a sister, Pam Dial of Cookeville; and a brother, Jason Sullivan of Rickman.

ROBBIE JEAN TAYLOR
Funeral services for Mrs. Robbie Jean Taylor, 64, of Cookeville, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2003, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville. Burial was in Poplar Springs cemetery in White County with Bro. Dewey Glenn Masters officiating.

Mrs. Taylor died Saturday, March 29 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a housewife and a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

Born October 4, 1938, in DeKalb County, she was the daughter of Geneva (Whitehead) Boyd of Carthage and the late Ernest Boyd. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Boyd.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Ezra Taylor of Cookeville; a daughter, Peggy Jean Autrey of Cookeville; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Terry Allen and Teresa Autrey, Terry Lynn Jr. and Crystal Sue Autrey, and Michael Ray Autrey, all of Cookeville, and Michael Ray Autrey of Watertown; five brothers, Bonnell Boyd, Johnson City, Billy Boyd, Taylor Boyd, and Leon Boyd, all of Buffalo Valley, and Jacky Boyd of Gordonsville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred and James Christian of Buffalo Valley, Ruby and Kenneth Craighead, and Martha and James Sanders, all of Carthage; three brothers-in-law, Jimmy Taylor, Kennith Taylor, and Garry Taylor, all of Cookeville; four sisters-in-law, Anna Lynn, Bernice Ramsey, Judy Langford, and Faye Scantland, all of Gainesboro; three grandchildren, Kristy Rose, Brandy Cadahia, and Felicia Autrey; five great grandchildren, Mia Elizabeth Bian, Christian Cadahia, Terry Dillon Autrey, Vince Michael Autrey, and Kalie Brooke Autrey; and her mother-in-law, Rosa Taylor of Cookeville.

SIBYL A. WEST
Funeral services for Mrs. Sibyl A. West, 84, of the Rickman Community, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial was in Paran cemetery with Rev. Bill Matheny officiating.

Mrs. West died Tuesday, March 25 at her home. She was a housewife and of the Baptist faith.

Born March 28, 1918, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd F. and Mattie A. (Bilbrey) Livingston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James West; a sister, Gertrude Livingston; and four brothers, Edgar Livingston, Earl Livingston, Cordell Livingston, and Alex Livingston.

Survivors include a husband, Joe E. West of Rickman; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Orley Shaffer, Raymond Talent, Don Hammonds, L.L. "Pep" Gragg, Bill Barnes, and Ronnie Dennis. Special care provided by Speck Funeral Home.

JAMES MICHAEL NEELY
Funeral services for Mr. James Michael Neely, 41, of Sparta, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial was in Concord cemetery with Bro. Virgil Covel officiating.

Mr. Neely died Sunday, March 9 at Erlanger Health System. He was a carpenter and of the Seventh Day Adventist faith. Born April 13, 1961, in Clay County, he was the son of Melba (Davis) Neely Allen of Georgia and the late John Neely.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Beverly Neely of Sparta; three step-children; four step-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas Neely of Livingston and Cecil Lemons of Cookeville; and a sister, Judy Scott of Burns.

Pallbearers were Chris Bilbrey, Garvin Davis, Steve Handy, A.B. Handy, Frankie Booher, Eddie Booher, Alvin Dyer, and Bob Ewing.

CHARLES RAY NORROD
Funeral services for Mr. Charles Ray Norrod, 58, of the Hanging Limb Community, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2003, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey. Burial was in Phillips cemetery with Rev. Richard Rollins and Rev. J.B. Harris officiating.

Mr. Norrod died Saturday, March 15 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a logger and a member of Hanging Limb Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for more than 30 years. He was also a member of Green Pond Masonic Lodge 703 and Eastern Star Chapter 402.

Born May 26, 1944, in Cookeville, he was the son of the late Esley Price Norrod and Linnie (Bowman) Norrod McDonald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Norrod.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Pat (Phillips) Norrod of Hanging Limb; a daughter and son-in-law, Navona and Stacy Phillips of Hanging Limb; a sister, Peggy Norrod of Hanging Limb; and a grandchild, Rachel Phillips of Hanging Limb.
