Selma Sexton
Selma Sexton, age 80, of Lafayette, TN., passed away Monday, June 7, 2004 at her residence. The Macon County, Tennessee native was born Saturday, February 23, 1924, a daughter of the late Prentice Fishburn and Nettie Marsh Fishburn. She was a homemaker, a member of Meadorville Missionary Baptist Church, and was united in marriage on December 27, 1941 to Eugene D. Sexton, who preceded her in death on March 16, 2003.
She is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and John Harper; Pam and Nelson Meador; 2 sons, Ronnie Sexton and Donnie Sexton, all of Lafayette, TN; 2 brothers, Billy Fishburn, Lafayette, TN; and Calvin Fishburn, Nashville, TN; 2 sisters, Joyce Taylor, Indianapolis, IN; and Novella Ford, Brownsburg, Indiana; 6 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Dwight D. Sexton, a brother, Estel Fishburn and a sister, Edith Jent.
Funeral services for Selma Sexton were conducted Thursday, June 10, 2004 at Alexander-Goad Funeral Home with Eld. J.B. Shoulders officiating. Burial is in Macon County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Roger Jent, Richie Harper, Del Sexton, Chris Eden, Rhonda White, Frank McCall, Max Mayhew, and Christopher Sexton.
Alexander-Goad Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN was in charge of arrangements.

Howard Clinton Cothron
Howard Clinton Cothron, age 86, of Lafayette, TN., was pronounced dead on arrival Monday, June 7, 2004 at Macon County General Hospital. The Macon County, Tennessee native was born Saturday, February 2, 1918, a son of the late Elisha Cothron and Susan Vance Cothron, and was a farmer.

Charles Wayne Cummings
Charles Wayne Cummings, 37, of 690 Macedonia Road, Adolphus, KY died at 7:44 PM Sunday, June 6, 2004, at The Medical Center at Scottsville from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. The Allen County native was an employee of IMI and a member of Teamsters Union #89 and Biker's Association of Motorcycles. He was a son of Earl Wayne Cummings and Doris Jean Perry Cummings of Scottsville, KY, who survive.

Patricia Goad
Patricia Goad, age 84, of Brentwood, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2004 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee. The Fayette County, Alabama native was a daughter of the late Drew Lane and Bertha Maddox Lane, a registered nurse, and a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. She was united in marriage of January 7, 1954 to Fred Curtis Goad, who preceded her in death on November 18, 1991.

Ronnel L. Browning, Sr., 58, of Holiday, Florida, died Dec. 27, 2002 at his residence. The Red Boiling Springs, TN native was a maintenance worker for Parker Miller, Jr. and a Baptist. he was a son of the late Sherman and Lula Browning.

Lelia Irene Burnette
Lelia Irene Burnette, 65, of North First St. in Westmoreland, TN, passed away Jan. 4, 2003 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin.

Loyd "Tarp" Jenkins
Funeral services for Loyd "Tarp" Jenkins, age 82, of 9215 Red Boiling Springs Road, Red Boiling Springs, TN, were conducted Thursday, January 2, 2003, 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Roy Henson officiating. Pallbearers were Harold Kirk, Gary Blankenship, Todd Whitley, Jason Draper, Troy Whitley, Junior Jenkins, and Billy Jenkins. Interment was in the Whitley Cemetery.

Beulah Love Jessie, age 83, of Carr Lane, Castalian Springs, TN, passed away at her residence January 3, 2003.

Opal Louise Burton McGuire
Opal Louise Burton McGuire, 85, of Elkton, KY, died Dec. 28, 2002 at an Elkton nursing home.

Lizzie Earlene Sullivan
Lizzie Earlene Sullivan, 88, of Lafayette, TN, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002 at Westmoreland Care & Rehab in Westmoreland, TN.

S. T. Sullivan
S. T. Sullivan, 61, of Pumpkin Branch Road in Trousdale County, TN, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2003, at the Comprehensive Care Center in Hartsville, TN. The Macon County, TN native was born Sept. 4, 1941, a son of the late Noie Sullivan and Hassie Ladd Sullivan. He was a farmer.

Joe D. Watson, age 74, of Lafayette, TN, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003 at Westmoreland Care and Rehab in Westmoreland, TN.

Ellar Corean West, age 78, of Trafalgar, IN, passed away January 1, 2003 at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, IN.

Alex Ray Cassetty
Alex Ray Cassetty, age 17, of Whitleyville, passed away Friday, April 18, 2003 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN.

Carver Dean Patterson
Carver Dean Patterson, 85, of the Brattontown Community, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at the Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette.

Debbie Sanders
Debbie Sanders, 49, of 805 South Long Creek Road, Lafayette, TN, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. The Macon County, TN., native was a homemaker and member of Holland Missionary Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Layton Ervin Shockley and Dora Mae Gott Sloan, of Scottsville, KY, who survives.
