HOPKINS, BOBBIE JUNE, age 57, of Talbott, passed away at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, September 8, 1998, at the Life Care Center in Jefferson City after a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Hopkins was a faithful member of the Sartain Springs Missionary Baptist Church of White Pine and was preceded in death by her parents, William and Pearl Hopkins. Survivors include her sisters and brothers-in-law, Ethel and the late Howard Hill, Virginia and Horace Greene, and Sarah and Escoe Smith, all of Talbott; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bernard and Douglas Hopkins of the home, J.T. and Helen Hopkins of White Pine, Marshall and Betty Hopkins of Talbott, Coy and Louise Hopkins, and Fred and Margaret Hopkins of Talbott; several nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; aunts and uncles, Grace and Jean Hill, Elmer and Julia Knowling, Palmer and Mildred Hopkins, all of Talbott, Horace and Kathleen Knowling of Billings, Montana; numerous cousins, Hazel Knowling of Morristown, Lorraine Hopkins of White Pine, and Edith Hopkins of Talbott; special friends, Dee and Opal Cameron and Mae Welch of Talbott. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon, September 10, 1998, from the Sartain Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Potter, Reverend Phil Hopkins, and Reverend Leslie Griffin officiating. The body will be moved to the church 30 minutes prior to services, Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, September 9, 1998, at the funeral home. CALDWELL, NOLA K., age 60, of 2256 Crown Circle, born November 12, 1937 in Morristown, passed away September 8, 1998 at Lakeway Regional Hospital. She was a beautician for many years. Family will receive friends Saturday, September 12, 1998 at Friendship Holiness Church from 12:00 noon-1:00 p.m.. Funeral services will be held at Friendship Holiness Church, Saturday, September 12, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in City Cemetery, Morristown. Dockery Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

GOINS, THOMAS RALPH, age 42, of Henard Town, Rogersville, passed away Monday. September 7, 1998, at his residence. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Robinson and Dorothy Goins; two brothers, Earnest Goins and Elmer Goins; parents, Arcie and Leona Goins. He is survived by his son, Richie Kerley Goins of Rogersville; two daughters, Crystal Young and Tracy Goins, both of Rogersville; three sisters, Martha Price, Brenda Worley, and Betty Johnson, all of Rogersville; seven brothers, Daniel Goins, Stanley Goins, Doyle Goins, Jerry Goins, Charlie Goins, Worley Goins, and Eugene Goins, all of Rogersville; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends anytime at the residence of Charlie Goins, 333 Hillcrest St., Rogersville. Funeral services will be held 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Colboch-Price Chapel with Rev. Glen Bradley officiating. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday in Hurd Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Colboch-Price Funeral Home in Rogersville. LEE, WILLIE NEEDHAM, age 91, passed away September 8, 1998 at Ridgeview Terrace, Rutledge. A charter member of Fairview Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Bert Lee; and daughter, Marion Noe. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and J.B. Kitts; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and close relatives and friends. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Cooke Mortuary. Services will be conducted by Rev. Ernest Greene and Rev. Royal Helton. Interment. Booker-Needham Cemetery. FERGUSON, CLAY, age 68, of Bean Station, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 1998. He was retired from NCR. Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Friday at Stubblefield Funeral Home. Interment in Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown. Stubblefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

BARKER, DOROTHY TALLEY, 88, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 1998 at Life Care of Jefferson City. She was a member of Mill Springs Baptist Church; wife of the late Willie Barker and the daughter of the late Mattie and J. Wiley Talley. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Graveside service 11 a.m. Friday at Mills Springs Cemetery with Rev. Rusty Webster officiating. Friends may call Friday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Fielden Funeral Home New Market. PRATT, ROBERT LEE, age 55, of 309 Mohawk Street, Morristown, passed away at his home Wednesday, September 9, 1998. He was of the Holiness faith. He was the son of Kathleen Myers and the late Wayne Pratt. Mr. Pratt served in the U.S. Navy for four years and was a fire fighter for Hamblen County for 7½ years and worked for Lear Seating for 12 years. Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Jeff Swanson (Tammey), Mrs. Rick Lindsey (Wendy); grandchildren, Brad Clark, Pam Swanson, Samantha Lindsey; brother, Donald Wayne Pratt and sister-in-law, Jerry; uncle, Harold Linkous; several aunts, nieces and nephews; very special friend, Shannon Sue Pratt. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Mayes Mortuary with Revs. William Gardner and Byron Chambers officiating. Military graveside services will be at Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Mayes Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

WALLEN, MARTHA E., age 73, of Kyles Ford, TN., passed away Wednesday, September 9, 1998, at Holston Valley Hospital, following a brief illness. She was a Royal, Golden Mother. She was a member of Davis Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. James Kinsler; mother, Mary Ann Kinsler; four brothers, Hugh Kyle Kinsler, Willard Kinsler, Bruce Kinsler and Rev. John Paul Kinsler. She is survived by two sons, Gregory E. Wallen of Sneedville, Don M. Wallen of Russellville; two daughters, Loretta C. Kinsler of Sneedville, Mary Maye of Rogersville; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five brothers, James Kinsler of Kingsport, Doyle Kinsler of White Pine, Robert Kinsler, Dwayne Kinsler, both of Morristown, Morris Kinsler of Bean Station; three sisters, Alma Lawson of Sneedville, Ruth Dingus of Kingsport and Mary Jo Hankins of Georgia; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Magnolia Baptist Church with Rev. Ted Riner and Rev. Gene Bolden officiating. Interment will follow in the Trent Cemetery. CANTWELL, BERNICE WILDER, age 73, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 9, 1998. She was a charter member of Northside Baptist Church where she was secretary and treasurer for many years and was preceded in death by her husband, Taylor Cantwell; brothers and sisters, Millie Greene, Depsia Greene, Kyle Wilder, Duane Wilder, Edna Trent; daughter-in-law, Bobbie Jean Cantwell. Survivors: her sons and daughters-in-law, T.J. Cantwell, Gary and Terry Cantwell, Keith and Debbie Cantwell, all of Morristown; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Johnnie Rhea, Emily Trent, Hubert Wilder, all of Sneedville, Betty Jo Davis of Mt. Carmel; special friends, Loretta Jones, Ruth Gass, Mae Lamb; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Kester Bunch and Rev. SEAL, SARAH BURKETTE, age 88, of West Andrew Johnson Hwy., Morristown, passed away September 8, 1998 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a member of Panther Springs United Methodist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. Preceded in death by her husband, W.T. Seal; parents, James and Martha Marion; sister, Orpha Johnson; brothers, Grover, Henry and Campbell Marion. Survivors: son, Kenneth H. Seal of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Lou and Jimmy Peoples of Morristown; grandson and wife, Scott and Dee Dee Seal of Germany; granddaughter and husband, Sarah and Doak Gilliam of Morristown; brother, Wilbur Marion of Sneedville; several nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Panther Springs United Methodist Church with Revs. Garland James and Luther Lawson officiating. Interment will be in Jarnagin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Mayes Mortuary. Memorial gifts may be made to the building fund or the organ fund of Panther Springs United Methodist Church. MCDANIEL, JOHNATHON ELI, age 8, of Rutledge, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 1998. He attended church with his grandmother at Cedar Hill Church of God in Talbott. Survivors include parents, Howard (Eddie) and Melissa McDaniel; sisters, Amanda and Jessica; grandparents, Gilford and Oma Lee McDaniel and Wilma and Carlos Thurman; great-grandparents, Wilba McDaniel and Lou Vernia Moore; and several aunts and uncles. Funeral services for Johnathon will be held Saturday at Mitchell Springs Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Mitchell Springs Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements made by Smith Funeral Home in Rutledge.

GREENE, HATTIE, age 81, of 2151 Highway 113, Whitesburg, passed away Thursday, September 10,1998, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was a member and former Sunday School teacher at Whitesburg Missionary Baptist Church. She was a former principal and school teacher at St. Clair Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eva Whitlock; two brothers. She is survived by her husband, Grant Greene of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Deanie Greene, of Whitesburg; two granddaughters, Shea and Kara Greene both of Whitesburg; sister, Daisy Webb of Cosby; four nieces, Delores of Newport, Gail, Donita both of Cosby and Doodle of Kentucky; nephew, Dean of Cosby; two sisters-in-law, Mary Hileman of Rogersville and Madge Robinette of Harlan, Kentucky; two brothers-in-law, Ralph Greene of Dixon, Texas and Bille Greene of Rogersville. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Colboch-Price Chapel with Rev. Leroy Davis and Rev. J.R. Stump officiating. Interment will follow in Bethesda Cemetery in Morristown. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday at Colboch-Price Funeral Home in Rogersville. Colboch-Price Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
