THOMASON, MAXINE J., 82, of Russellville, died Tuesday evening, June 15, 1999, at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital. Funeral arrangements to be announced by Allen Funeral Home.

BROOKS, HAROLD GENE, age 56, of Morristown, passed away June 8 at home. He was a member of Guthries Gap Primitive Baptist Church, Bulls Gap. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Earl Sr. and Lula Brooks. Survivors include his wife, Catherine Brooks and three children, Bobby Gene and Pattie Lynn Brooks of Morris-town and Richard Edward Mayes of New York; daughter-in-law, Wendy Brooks; brothers and sisters are Shirley Faul of Greeneville, Kay Chandler of Bulls Gap, Joseph Jr., of Knoxville, Elsie Bowles and Arnold Brooks of Morristown and Richard Brooks of Rogersville; brothers and sisters-in-law include Lowell and Ethel Lambert of Morristown, James Luke and Unavee Morgan of Talbott, John Faul, Janice Brooks, Linda Brooks, Judy Brooks and special brother-in-law and friend, Bill Stroud; four grandchildren, Crystal Mitchell, Travis Brooks, Kellie and Taylor Hopkins; 20 nieces and nephews; special friends Margaret Estes, Joyce, Barbara, Ida, Debbie and Wayne Litz. The family will receive friends Thursday 7-9 p.m. at Westside Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Larry Miller and Richard Brooks officiating. Burial in Courtney Cemetery, Hawkins County. Westside Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

COLLINS, WANDA L., age 52, of Morristown, passed away Monday, June 7, 1999 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Nila Davis. Survivors include her husband, George J. Collins; son, James Collins; brother, Henry Davis Jr. of Talbott; sisters, Leona Collins of Laborte, IN., Estella Brown, Loretta Smith and Sandra Collins, all of Morristown. Services will be Friday, June 11, 1999 at 8 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Graveside services will be Sat-urday, June 12, 1999 at 10 a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 11,1999 from 6-8 p.m. prior to the service. West-side Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

FERRELL, MR. SAM NICHOLS “NICK,“ JR., 57, of Morristown, died Sunday, June 6, 1999. He was a native of Jasper, the son of the late Sam Nichols and Ema Ada Ferrell. He was Vice Prsident of Shelby-Williams Furniture Company in Morristown and was the last surviving member of Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian in Jasper. Mr. Ferrell is survived by: his wife, Sandra Hamlin Ferell of Morristown; one son, Sam Ferrell of Jasper, TN.; one step-daughter, Lisa Bloome of VanCleave, MS.; two step-sons, Marty and Buddy Manus, both of Harrison, TN.; one brother, John H. Ferrell of Jasper, TN.; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper at 10:00 a.m CDT, Thursday, June 10, with Rev. James H. Patterson officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. CDT, at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper. Rogers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

GREGG, CAROLYN “CARRIE,” of Mosheim, born Feb. 8, 1927 in Greene County, TN., passed away June 8, 1999 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Knoxville. She was retired from George C. Moore Co., and was owner/operator of Granny’s Kitchen in Mosheim. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Mosheim Chapel of Doughty-Stevens. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 10th, at 10 a.m. at Mosheim Chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Interment in Mosheim Central Cemetery. Mosheim Chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

HARRELL, WILLIAM L., age 37, of Morristown, passed away Monday, June 7, 1999. He was employed by Lenzing and served in the National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; sons, William Lewis Harrell II and Bryson Patrick Harrell of the home, Jeremy Harrell and Bryon Purkey of Morristown, Bradley and Bobby Harrell of Tate Springs in Rut-ledge; daughters, Alyson and Olivia Harrell of the home and Kasey Harrell of Morristown; mother, Barbara Livesay and step-father, Jack Livesay of Whitesburg; brothers, Jackie Livesay of Johnson City and sister, Carole Lemons of Chuckey, TN., as well as several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Thursday, June 10, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Westside with Rev. Kester Bunch officiating. Burial to follow in Sunderland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 1999 at the funeral home. Westside Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

ROSENBALM, JANET, age 38, of Morristown, passed away Monday, June 7, 1999 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. Janet is survived by her husband, Bryan Rosenbalm. Funeral arrangements to be announced by Westside Chapel Funeral Home.

WELCH, JOHN R., age 89, of Washburn, passed away Monday, June 7, 1999 at UT Medical Center. Mr. Welch was of the Baptist faith. Survivors are wife of 59 years, Edna; daughter, Maurene Isley of Knoxville; granddaughters, Leslie Cataldo of North Carolina and Cristie Coffey of Knoxville; great-grandsons, Anthony and Donte’ Cataldo. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gregg Wisecarver officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6-8 p.m. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Washburn Cemetery. Smith Funeral Home, Rutledge, is in charge of arrangements.

BUTLER, MRS. MARY ELIZABETH CLEO MAY TURNER, age 87, of New Tazewell, passed away Tuesday night at Claiborne County Hospital. Family will receive friends7-9 Friday at Coffey Funeral home in Tazewell. Funeral service 2 p.m. Satruday at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel, Tazewell. Burial in Thompson Chapel Cemetery. Lie in state 30 minutes before service. CARROLL, WILLIAM O., (LAN), 61, of Rutledge, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at his home. He was a member of Clouds Memorial Baptist Church. Survived by his wife, Minnie Leonard Carroll of Rut-ledge; sisters, Edith Robertson, Myrtle Greene and Bobbie Day of New Tazewell, Mossie Baker of Morristown; brother, Roy Carroll of New Tazewell; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Shannon Burkhart. Funeral service 2:30 p.m. Friday at Fielden Chapel with Revs. Clinton Davis , Steve Sexton and Donnie Hankins officiating. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Garden. DANNENHOLD, CYRIL ROGER “CY,“ age 55, of Knoxville, formerly of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, morning, May 30, 1999, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. Cy was a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Tennessee Law School and served in the United States Army in Vietnam. He was a member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church and was with the Massachusetts Mutual Insurance Company. An avid tennis player, he was a member of the Bally Health Club. He is survived by a son, Michael Dannenhold of Anaheim, California; parents, Jean and Cyril Dannenhold of Jefferson City; and sister, Kathy Dannenhold of Nashville. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday morning, June 4, 1999, at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City with Dr. W.I. Jones and Dr. Vern Holstad officiating with a eulogy by Susan Howell and music by Douglas Manley. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday evening, June 3, 1999, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1423 Leon Drive, Jefferson City, Tennessee 37760 or to Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church, 9132 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37923. Farrar Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

HAWORTH, ESTHER HAYNES, 90, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 1999 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Mills Springs Baptist Church. Survived by daughter, Mary Taylor Whan of Atlanta, Ga.; son, Larry Haynes of Canton,Ga.; daughters, Laurie and Gloria Haynes of Atlanta, Ga.; Mary Townsend of Pharr, Tex., Jena Meyers of Selmer, Tenn.; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Agnes Howard of N.C.; several nieces and 1 nephew. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday at Mills Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Rusty Webster officiating. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Garden. The body will be taken to the church 30 minutes before service. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Fielden Funeral Home, New Market. Fielden Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
