HELTON, ELIZABETH, 86, passed away early this morning in Heritage Center. Arrangements will be announced by Stetzer Funeral Home in Morristown.

HORTON, JIMMY ROGER (TOMMY), age 58, of Talbott, formerly of Ferndale, Maryland, born and raised in Sneedville, died June 3, 1999 at the home of his daughter, Monica Pierce after a short battle with cancer. Preceded in death by grandpar-ents, Andrew and Martha Ferguson and Reece and Dora Horton. Survivors: daughter, Monica J. Pierce of Talbott; sons, John C. Horton of Pasa-dena, Md., Rick W. Horton of Talbott, formerly of Ferndale, Md.; grandchildren, Justin, Ashleigh and Jordan Pierce of Talbott, Taylor Paige Horton and her very special mother, Chrissy Bell of Pasadena, Md.; mother, Hazel Ferguson of Sneedville; father, Carroll Horton of Morristown; brothers, Harrold (Linda) Horton of Md., Bill and Randy Ferguson of Sneedville; sisters, Joyce (Walle) Smith of Have De Grace, Md., Sandy (Doc) Russell of Sneedville; several very special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services 8 p.m. Friday, June 4, 1999 at McNeil Funeral Home Chapel in Sneedville. Rev. Joe Haase and Rev. Richard Carpenter officiating. Interment in the Ferguson Cemetery 11 a.m. Saturday. Family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the McNeil Funeral Home in Sneedville. Family will also receive friends at the home: 971 E. Old Andrew Johnson Highway, Talbott, Tenn. McNeil Funeral Home, Sneedville, is in charge of arrangements.

PINKNEY, MARIE B., age 82, of Heritage Nursing Home, passed away early Wednesday morning at Morristown-Hamblen Heathcare System. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lucille Ray Bowditch; husband Rev. James Pinkney and daughter, Joyce Pinkney. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Survivors, grandchildren, James Edward Pinkney, Altanta, Ga., Chotal Nicole Pinkney, Morristown; sister, Savannah Wilson, Heritage Nursing Home; 5 great-grandchildren, Maria Alicia Pinkney, Jefferson City, Jordan Tyler Pinkney, Christopher Charles Pinkney, Arnetha Nicole Pinkney, Caitlin Joy Pinkney, Kaley Nachia Neal; 7 nieces; 6 nephews; 11 great-nieces; 3 great-nephews. Funeral services will be Sunday 2 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Rev. Carl Bragg, Rev. Thomas Phillips and Elder Ventrus Norfolk officiating. Interment will follow in City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of services at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Westside Funeral Home, Morristown is in charge of arrangements.

OSBORNE, ROBERT EARL, age 40, of Rogersville, passed away Saturday, May 30,1999 at Laughlin Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He had served in the United States Navy. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Franklin and Mary Alice Osborne; John H. Miller and Sarah Catherine Miller; several uncles, cousins and niece. He is survived by his mother, Betty Miller of the home; father and step-mother, Bill and Della Osborne of Rogersville; sister and brother-in-law, Glenna and Dale Estepp of Greeneville; brother, Billy Ray Osborne of Phyllis, Ky.; 3 nephews; 1 niece; 3 aunts and several cousins. Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 4, 1999, at Col-boch-Price Chapel with Rev. George Bradley, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Courtney Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 1999, at Colboch-Price Funeral Home in Rogersville. Colboch-Price Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

PUGH, JAMES ALLEN “JIMMY,” age 40, of North Charleston, S.C., formerly of Dandridge, died suddenly Wednesday, May 26, 1999 at his home. Born in Harrisonburg, Va., he was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Calvin Pugh, Sr. and mother-in-law, Concepcion F. Guillermo. Jimmy was owner of Budget Tires of North Charleston since 1992 and previously had served in the U.S. Air Force as a Tech Sgt. and was an Aircraft Mechanic Crew Chief. He was veteran of Vietnam and was stationed in Charleston from 1988 to 1992. Survivors; wife, Lola Flores Guillermo Pugh of North Charleston, S.C.; mother, Barbara McGowen Pugh of Dandridge; sons, James Allen Pugh II and Clarence J.G. Pugh, both of North Charleston, S.C.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rose and Jim Shannon of Fredrick, Md., Marlene and Jim Larsen of Ft. Smith, Va., Pattie and Isa Cantrell of Dandridge; brother and sister-in-law, Clarence A. and Nancy Pugh, Jr. of Wichita, Kan.; grandchildren, Justin G. Pugh and Clarence I. Droze; other relatives include brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Annie Mendiola of Guam, Silvestre F. and June Guillermo of Guam, Frenando F. and Martha Guillermo of Ca., Ernesto F. and Cathy Guillermo of Wash, Ruperto F. and Dolores Guillermo of Charleston, S.C., Leon F. and Martha Guillermo of Guam, Dante F. and Denise Guillermo of Ca., Connie F. G. and Daniel Toves of Guam, Jose F. Guillermo and his son Joey of Wash. Funeral services 8 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 1999 at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Herb Jones officiating. Interment graveside services with military honors by the East Tennessee Veterans Guard, 1 p.m. Sunday at Hillcrest Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge. Farrar Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

SMITH, MARTHA POWELL, age 91, of Jefferson City, formerly of Harlan, Ky., passed away Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at Jefferson County Nursing Home following an extended illness. Funeral arrangements to be announced by Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City.

STANFILL, MAZIE P., age 90, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord Monday, June 1, 1999. She passed away at her home after a long illness. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Westside Chapel with Rev. Charles Smith and Rev. Richard Crayne officiating. Interment to follow in the Jarnagin Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Westside Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

ADKINS, DAHL C., age 60, of 971 Lakeshore Rd., Talbott, passed away Friday in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Memorial services will be Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Westside Chapel, Family will receive friends 7 p.m. until time of service. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home, Morristown.

DANNENHOLD, CYRIL ROGER “CY,“ age 55, of Knoxville, formerly of Jefferson City, passed away at 12:40 a.m. Sunday, May 30, 1999, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville following an extended illness. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City.

HABEGGER, OPAL V., age 76, formerly of Youngstown, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 28, 1999 at her home in Morristown. The family will receive friends at Four Mile Run Christian Church, 701 Four Mile Run Rd., Youngstown, Ohio from 12 until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 1999. Service to follow, with burial in Green Haven Memorial Park in Youngstown, Ohio. Westside Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

HODGE, JAMES C. JR., age 79, of 2315 Buffalo Trail, TN., passed away May 31, 1999 at Life Care Center of Morristown. He was a Shriner and was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Sherrill Hodge, Lewis Hodge, Thurman Hodge and Evertt Hodgs. Survivors, son, James C. Hodge Jr., and Donna, Morristown; daughter, Connie Hodge Jones, Morristown; grandchildren, Shannon Stout, Michael Jones, Joe Hodge and James Allen Hodge, all of Morristown; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Shull of California, Margaret Handler, Erma Bledsoe and Bertie Kennedy, all of Morristown; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Bowers Funeral Home, 1631 Bob White Blvd., Pulaski, VA. Military services will be in Shiloh Cemetery in Shiloh, VA. Mayes Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

MURDOCK, FRED, age 54, of Whitesburg, passed away Monday, May 31, 1999. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 822 and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Stubblefield funeral Home with Masonic services. Interment in Hamblen Memory Gardens with military honors by Ft. Campbell. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Stubblefield Funeral Home, Morristown is in charge of arrangements.
