She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a longtime volunteer with the Salvation Army. Preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Copenhaver and Jim Miller; parents, Jesse and Maude Brown; sister Frances Scavarda; brothers, Jesse Brown, Jr., Ernest Leon Brown and Gene O. Brown. Survived by brothers, Alfred Brown and wife, Frances of Kingston and Shelby Brown of Lenoir City; sister, Ruth Meyers of Middlesboro, KY several nieces and nephews. Williams, Johnny (Alb), age 84, of Sevierville passed away Sunday, May 14, 2006. He was of the Baptist faith. Owner of Williams Coal and Trucking Co. Alb was a veteran of W. W. II serving in the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Wright Williams; parents, Walter and Grace Williams; brothers: infant twin brother, James Alfred Williams, infant, Curtis Williams, Lonnie Ray Williams and Walter Williams, Jr.; sisters, Ruth Goins, Della Monson and Louise Franklin. Survived by wife, Vondia L. Williams; children, Charles(Chuck) Williams, Bill Williams and wife, Sue, daughter, Kelly Rathbone; grandchildren, John and Susan, Jason Derrick Holden, Jr.; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Gilbert Williams and wife, Betty of Lenoir City; sisters, Betty Kagley of Lenoir City, Edna Allison of Knoxville and Bonnie Hibbert of White Pine; a host of nieces and nephews. William Ray (Bill) Allison, age 53, of Philadelphia, passed away suddenly Saturday, May 13, 2006. Bill was former owner of A1 Services and currently operated The Little Flea Market in Sweetwater. Bill loved horses and was very active in the Walking Horse Association. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Judy Everett Allison; sons, James Christopher Gatlin and wife, Carrie of Lenoir City, Joshua Allison of Loudon; daughter, Angie Allison of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Colby and Jada Allison; parents, Curtis and Virginia Allison of Lenoir City; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Barbara Louise Cooper, age 71, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday morning, May 18, 2006, at her home. She was a member of Fountain City First Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Jack L. Cooper; grandson, Travis Edward Harn; sisters, Christine Wright and Juanita Lanham. Survived by daughter, Vicky Cooper of Knoxville; granddaughter, Michele Dudley and husband, Cris of Knoxville. Brummitt, Esta Mae, age 82, of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at her home. She was of the Baptist faith. Esta retired from Scovill. Preceded in death by husband, Leon Brummitt; parents, W. H. and Ella Tinnell; son, George W. Brummitt; brothers, Richard Tinell and Jess Tinell and sister, Mary Roberts. Brown, Richard Wayne, age 67, of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at U. T. Medical Center. He was a member of Tellico Village Community Church and Tellico Lake Rotary Club. Richard was president of T. R. W. A. and MO. AG. He was a founding partner of Basic Resources, Inc. He served in the Air National Guard where he received the Airman’s Medal. Richard was an avid golfer. Preceded in death by parents, Noah and Mae Brown; sisters, Katherine, Dorothy and Mary; brother, Ivan and son, Scott Charles Brown. Survived by his wife of 42 years, E. Sue Brown; children, Michael Wayne Brown of Nashville, Kari LaVon Brown of Knoxville; granddaughter, Madison Elizabeth Brown of Texas; brother, Lynn (Susan) Brown of St. Louis, Missouri; brother-in-law, Charles (Penny) Shoop of California; nieces, Christie Sanders, Jennifer Farrar and Beth McDonald; nephew, Ross Shoop. Rev. James A. Keener, age 72, of Jacksonville, N.C. formerly of Lenoir City, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2006. He was preceded in death by daughter, Donna K. Keener; parents, James F. Ruth E. Hall, age 88, of Lenoir City, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2006. She was a long time retail business owner with her husband in Lenoir City. A loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Ruth was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City. Preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Pauline Ehrensperger; husband, Oree D. Ross Wilkerson and Denver Watts. Mary C. Welch, age 85, of Arlington, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 25, 2006 in Farragut, TN. Mary was the oldest living member of Bethel Regular Baptist Church in Great Falls, VA. She loved to cook and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond A. Welch Sr. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Walter Gose of TN; son and daughter-in-law, Raymond Jr. and Mary Welch of MD; grandchildren, Traci Yates and husband Wanlace of VA, Travis Gose of TN, William Welch of SC, Brenda Krytusa and husband Alan of VA, Sheila Almanzor and husband Marcel of SC; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Veronica was a Christian woman, gentle and devoted to her husband, family and Catholic faith. She brought joy to everyone she knew. She is survived by her husband, John; children Veronica and her husband, George; and John and his wife, Ramona; grandchildren, Michael and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Logan, Aiden and Andrew. Edna Wheeler Wilkerson, age 81, of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2007. She was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she served the children of Trinity for over 30 years. Edna retired from Viskase after 28 years of service and after her retirement, continued to work at Dinner Bell in Lenoir City. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Major Franklin Wilkerson; parents, Ethel Lyles Wheeler and Dewey Preston Wheeler.
