Twettie was a member of Norwood Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN. Simpson, John (Bud), age 91, of Loudon, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at the Life Care Nursing Home in Athens. John was a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by parents, Blaine and Mattie Simpson; and brother, A. J. Simpson. Survived by brothers, Ralph Simpson and wife, Mary of Loudon and Fred Simpson of Asbury Acres Nursing Home in Maryville; nieces, Wanda Simpson of Loudon and Betty Faye Brewer of Maryville; nephews, Leroy Simpson and wife, Betty of Maryville and Bobby Simpson and wife, Geraldine of Philadelphia; several great nephews and nieces. Grubb, Mary (Billie) Hembree, age 92, of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at River Oaks Place in Loudon. Billie accepted Christ at an early age. She was of the Cumberland Presbyterian Faith. A native of the Wheat Community in Roane Co.. TN, she loved working in flowers and was a dedicated homemaker who welcomed all who came. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rupert Grubb; parents, Sherman and Mary Hembree; brothers, Walter Hembree, Elmer Hembree, and Sam Hembree; sisters, Jean Hembree, Anna Hembree Gaylor and Mabel Hembree Charles; and beloved niece, Georgia Charles Iosea. She is survived by her nieces, Ruth Wayne Cogdill of Lincoln Park, MI, Evelyn Cogdill of Ewen, MI, Rochelle Bailey, Faye Jean Hembree, and Barbara Tinker all of Coalfield, George Anna Koiva of Dayton, TN, Dorothy Jean Schubert of Lenoir City and Phyllis Rechtin of Victor, N.Y.; dear nephew, Wayne Hembree of Bowie, MD; sister-in-law, Maude Hembree of Coalfield; many beloved great and great great nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Graham, June Mead, age 82, of Lenoir City, passed away Friday, November 21, 2003, at the Parkwest Medical Center. June was a member and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church in Lenoir City. She sang in the church choir and for the last ten years served as secretary for the church music department until retiring in February, 2003. June was a former employee of Dodson Tire Co. and Graham & Cook Insurance. She was a member of the Pilot Club in Lenoir City. Preceded in death by her husband, Howell M. Graham Sr.; parents, Arthur and Augusta Cleveland Mead; brothers, Arthur and Maurice Mead. June is survived by her children: Charles and Mary Lou Graham, Frances and Kurt Robertson, Chuck and Vickie Graham; grandchildren: Mary Ann and Rex Blevins, Eddie and Becky Graham, Shannon and Jeremy Stokes, Kimberly Robertson, Kristi Robertson, Tyler Robertson, Laura Graham and Samuel Graham; great grandchildren: Kevin and Stephanie Blevins, Jessie Stokes, Hayden Graham; brother, Patrick Mead and sister, Ethel May Helveston. Baxter, Duluth Tracy, age 82, of Farragut, formerly of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 23, 2003 at Parkwest Hospital. Tracy was a devoted member of the West Knoxville Church of Christ. He was retired from Union Carbide and Murray Manufacturing Co. both in Lawrence County. Tracy enjoyed woodworking, his church and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Baxter and son, James L. Baxter, DVM (Doc). Survivors include son, John Tracy Baxter and wife, Carol of Clinton, daughter Lynda Acuff and husband, Don of Loudon County, and daughter-in-law Sharon of Seymour; grandchildren, John T. Baxter. She was a former employee of the Bus Station Restaurant in Lenoir City for many years. Preceded in death by her husband, Roy Marcus Brackett; sons, Lamar and Gary Lynn Brackett; daughter, Wanda Lee McGhee; one sister and three brothers. O'Dell is survived by her children: Willie Ray Duncan and husband, Charles, Joy McGinnis and husband, Bill, Linda Jenkins and husband, Ray, Ronnie Brackett, Patricia Baker and Gail Silvey; 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, Alton Ellis and wife, Barnett; several nieces and nephews. Lowry, Don H., age 72, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Chicago, IL and Chattanooga, TN, passed away late Saturday evening, November 29, 2003 at his home. Don was born in LaFayette GA to the late Charles Marvin Lowry Sr. and Ruth Elizabeth (Bess) Lowry. He was retired as Vice President of Engineering from a division of Panasonic Television. Don was an avid golfer, motorcyclist, ham operator, and enjoyed working with electronics. He was a caring and kind person who was highly esteemed by his colleagues and friends. In addition to his parents Don was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth William Lowry. Survivors: wife of 48 years, Carol Walden Lowry; brother, Charles Marvin Lowry Jr of LaFayette, GA; sister, Suzanne Barnett of Hixson, TN; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bruce and Hilda Walden of Tallahassee, FL. Nalls, Clarence Milton, Sr., age 76, of Loudon, TN, formerly of Front Royal, VA, passed away Tuesday evening, November 2, 2004. He was of the Assembly of God faith and retired from the Virginia Highway Department. A veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Army. Preceded in death by wife, Shirley Nalls; son, James (Cracker Jack) Nalls; parents, James Elmer and Ellie Nalls; infant sister, Louise and sister, Ruth Anderson. Preceded in death by parents, James Allison Arden and Mattie Lee Arden. Survived by her husband of 53 years, Jackie (Gene) Shubert; daughter, Dawn Shubert; future son-in-law, David Nicely; sisters, Evelyn Shubert and Dee Proaps both of Lenoir City; brother-in-law, Roy Shubert of Lenoir City; several nieces and nephews. Brown; son, Jackie Harvey and wife, Kathy; granddaughter, Lauren Harvey; sisters, Ruth Saperstein and Kate Scarbrough; several nieces and nephews including special nieces, Patsy Malone and Barbara Jean Jones. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Monday in the Lenoir City Cemetery for graveside services with Rev. Eddie Click officiating. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is serving the family of Alice H. Brown.
