Febry Ellen Hines Johnston, age 98, of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at her home. Febry was born March 08, 1909 in Alabama. She worked as a young girl at the Bacon Hosiery Mill, and in later years was a wonderful grandmother, who not only cared for them, but cared for several who needed nursing care in their homes. Febry attended Calvary Baptist Women's Sunday School Class for many years and First Church of God on Finley Drive until she declined in health. She was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Amanda Hines Bray, stepmother, Ola Lewis Bray; siblings, Addie, Lela, Jack and Lewis; her husband of 58 years, Ernest M. Johnston and one great grandchild, Jerry Holland, Jr. Febry is survived by daughters, Anne Livingston of Lenoir City and Billie Jeffries of Knoxville; grandchildren, Brenda Holland of Plainville, GA, Pennie Cockrel of Lenoir City, Ernest H. Livingston of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Jeannie Potter of Knoxville, Nancy Puckett of Rockwood, George Jeffries of Knoxville and spouses; 14 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; sisters, Laura, Alice, Nellrose and spouses; many nieces and nephews; best friend, Ms. Ailene Williams; and neighbors on Riverview Road. Bette Marie (LaPetina) Thune, age 82, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Roselle, IL, passed away suddenly Wednesday, November 15, 2006. Bette was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Thune and son, Darin Thune; parents, Angelo and Mary LaPetina; sister, Lorraine Wallich. Survivors: son, Dennis (Mary) Thune; daughters, Dale (Danny) Gagich, Debra (Stewart) Connelly and Donna (David) Jansen; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandsons; several nieces and nephews. Foster, Robert N. (Bob) Sr., age 75, of Friendsville, passed away Friday Morning November 17, 2006 at his home. Bob was a retired self-employed Heating and Air Conditioning Engineer and was a Korean War Veteran serving in the Naval Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. And Annie Mae Neyland Foster. Survived by his wife, Marian P. Foster; daughters, Tamala Lee Ogle and Gina Lynn Foster; son, Neal Foster, Jr.; 4 grandsons and 4 great-grand children. Diana was born in Coral Gables, FL and was a 1958 graduate of Clearwater High School. She was preceded in death by father, Roy Morgan. Diana is survived by her husband, Dr. James E. She was preceded in death by her long time husband Robert Earl Mitchell. Survivors: sons, Dr. Donald E. Eva Yates Hampton, age 84, of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday morning, November 22, 2006. Eva was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City. She was a graduate of Greenback High School, where she was a talented basketball player. Eva was a gifted musician singing with several gospel groups, (Singing Trinitarians and Southern Gospel), and with folk style music in the area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hampton; parents, Sam and Mary Yates; brothers, Bob Yates and Clarence Yates. Eva is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Frieda and Gene Lawson of Lenoir City; grandsons, Rodney Lawson of Lenoir City, Grady Lawson and wife, Cristy of Loudon, Josheena Wilson and husband, Jarred of Jefferson City and Alexis Lawson of Lenoir City; great grandchildren, Kitiara Lawson, Autumn Lawson and Jackson Wilson; several nieces and nephews. William Riley (Bill) Baugher, age 78, of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, TN, passed away Friday morning, November 24, 2006. Bill was retired from Maytag in Galesburg, Illinois after 19 years of service and had worked for Whirlpool in St. Joseph, Michigan for 25 years. He was an avid golfer and woodworker. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Anna Baugher; brothers, Harold Baugher and Paul Baugher; sisters, Helen Moore, Mary Lois Baugher, Maxine Gibson and Rita Williams. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bonnie Sawyer Baugher; children, Michael Baugher and wife, Candy of Houston, TX, Steven Baugher of Rogers, AR; grandchildren: Tara Baugher, Lauren Baugher, Shelby Baugher and Blake Baugher; brother, Don Baugher of Coloma, MI; along with several nieces and nephews. Ruby was a graduate of Lenoir City High School Class of 1939 where she was the class Valedictorian at age 16. She was retired from the Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge after 30years service. Preceded in death by husband, W. T. Thurmer; son, Tommy Thurmer; grandson, Jeremy Cass and mother, Ruby Nelson. She was involved with the Womens Missionary Union and was a Sunday School Teacher. Myrtle was retired from Johnson Nursing Home in Lenoir City. Roy Lee Galyon, age 73, of Lenoir City, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 25, 2006 at his home. Roy was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was an avid golfer and an employee of Riverview Golf Course. Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Galyon; parents, John and Arlie McNabb Galyon; brother-in-law, A.C. Dukes and step-son-in-law, Charlie Brown. John Daniel (Dan) Ellis, age 79, of Lenoir City, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 26, 2006 at U. T. Medical Center. Dan was a veteran of W. W. II serving in the U. S. Navy. He was a retired owner of Ellis Construction Company. He was one of the four original founders of Loudon County Rescue Squad in 1958, where he was former Captain and the present Unit Director. Dan was a member of the Avery Masonic Lodge #593 F & AM, a Scottish Rite 32nd degree Mason, the Kerbela Shrine Temple. He was the Commissioner of Martel Utility District for 23 years and a volunteer for Feed My Children with Martel Methodist Church. Dan was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Ellis Cunningham; parents, Robert W. and Nora Ellis; sisters, Thelma Hill and Sharon Ellis. He is survived by daughters, Sandra Ellis Sharpe and Jayne Ellis Sharpe; grandchildren, Bryan and Nicole Cunningham, Daniel Sharpe, Marie and Josh Ward, Michael Sharpe; great grandson, Joshua Logan Ward; special friend and mother of his children, Kathryn (Katchie) Ellis; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda Ross, Ernestine Blanton, Aileen and George W. Preston all of Lenoir City, Erma and Doyles Wakefield of Marietta, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leroy and Mary Jo Ellis of Lenoir City, Claude and Melinda Ellis of Huntsville, AL; several nieces and nephews. Glenn Melcoy Way, born August 16, 1919 to Clarence Cylvester and Mary Vivian Chappell Way (later Kirkley) left this life, Friday, November 24, 2006. Glenn was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City. He achieved the Scottish Rite 32 degree, KCCH 2nd York Rite Commandeer degree as a Commander of Knights, Templar of the Knight Crusaders of the Cross as a Life Member, Past Commander of Chevalier Commanders No. 21 and a Life Sponsor of the Knight Templar Eye Foundation. Glenn was Past Master of Kerbela Shrine Temple, Past Master of Avery Lodge No. 593, honorary member of Tennessee Lodge No. 204, George Washington Lodge No. 181, Greenback Lodge No. 691 and numerous others. He was a fifty year member of Avery Masonic Lodge No. 593 F & AM and Loudon Chapter No. 138 Royal Arch Mason. Glenn was appointed Grand Representative of Mississippi Royal Arch Mason. He was also a former member of the International Association of Lions Clubs and was presented the 100 % President Award in 1996 for his outstanding work. He was cited by Tennessee Governor Ned McWherter for contributions to the 1996 Tennessee statehood bicentennial celebration. Glenn was the recipient of numerous other civic awards for his work. He was retired from ORNL. He is survived by his wife of twenty two years, Louise Phelps (McNabb) Way; daughters, Glenda Davidson and husband, Edward, Shirley Pointer and husband, Oscar; sons, Richard Way and wife, Mae, Everette P. Way; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; stepchildren, Glenda L. Shaw and Joseph N. McNabb. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Click Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Dick DeMerchant officiating. Hazel Lynn Enders, of Great Falls, VA, formerly of England, age 72, passed away Monday morning, November 27, 2006 in Knoxville, TN. Lynn worked for Edie Financial Institution in New York City for many years and married John W. Enders. After their retirement from Edie, Lynn and John moved to Great Falls, VA. Lynn was a gourmet cook and loved to entertain. She was an avid bridge player. Lynn was preceded in death by her husband and brother, James Lynn of Los Angeles, CA. She is survived by her sisters, Joyce Hazell of Lancaster, CA, Valerie Lynn of Hemet, CA, Janice Smith and husband, Mitchell of Lenoir City, TN; step brothers, James Lynn and Raymond Lynn both of England; several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with Rev. Pete Preston officiating. Fisher, Mary Lynn, age 100, of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2006. She attended Maryville College. Mary Lynn was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a former employee of Charles H. Bacon Co. and retired from the Atomic Energy Commission. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Walter Fisher; parents Thomas Nelson and Mattie S. Griffitts. Survived by her nephew, James Allen Wilkerson of Rock Hill, SC; great nephews, James Harrison Hines and Walter Parker Hines of Lenoir City; great nieces, Emily Kathleen Chellew of St. Louis, MO and Cynthia Ellen Hines of Chicago, IL. Alfons Eisele, age 91, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2006. Alfons was born in Germany and came to the United States in 1950. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Eisele. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Cindy Eisele of Knoxville; grandson, Steven Holley and wife Trish of Knoxville; great grandchildren, Livingston and Kennedy Holley. Dhruvaswamini L. (Dhruva) Desai, age 60, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Chotaudapur, India, passed away suddenly Wednesday, November 29, 2006. Dhruva was retired from Park West Hospital as a respiratory therapist. She was a kind, religious and spiritual person. Dhruva was always ready to help others at any time. She was a very loving person who was devoted to her family and will be missed by many. God bless her soul. Dhruva was a member of the Hindu Community Center. Survivors: husband of 34 years, Lalit Desai; son and daughter-in-law, Milind and Lina Desai; daughter, Jignyasa Desai all of Knoxville; granddaughter, Raina; mother, Shantaben Patel of York, PA; brother, Gautam Patel of Washington, DC; sister, Susmita Amin of York, PA; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with funeral services to follow at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Swami Shivom Tirth Ashram, 26 High Road, Pond Eddy, New York 12770. Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel 11915 Kingston Pike is serving the Desai family.
