Adamick, Richard F. (Dick), age 66, of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, TN, suddenly went home to be with God on Sunday, October 16, 2005. He passed away doing what he loved most, riding his motorcycle. Beloved of Carol; father of Gail Walker (Curt) of Bartlett, IL, David Adamick (Kelly) of Plainfield, IL, Kathleen Adamick of New York; loving grandfather of Lauren and Colton Adamick, Abigail and Adam Walker; brother of Florence Hahn of Lakewood, CO, the late Eleanor Lauer and Adeline Christ; uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Dick was a retired policeman in Northbrook, IL where he received the Medal of Valor and was a former barber. He was a member of Tellico Village Community Church, Woodworker’s Club and Treasurer of Motorcycle Club. He participated in the Loudon County Mentoring Program. He enjoyed the Walk\Talk Club and was an avid traveler and photographer. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at the Tellico Village Community Church with Rev. Martin Singley officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church. Ninis, William Joseph (Bill) - age 35 of Lenoir City formerly of Newport News, VA and Peotone, IL passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2005. Bill served in the U. S. Army. He was a graduate of Central Christian College of McPherson, Kansas. He loved to sing and was a loving father, son, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by brother, Danny Malcome. Survived by daughter, Kaitlynn of VA; parents, John and Betty Ninis; sister, Kathy Malcome all of Lenoir City; brothers, Gary Malcome and wife, Crystal of S.C., Bob and Deb Ninis of Lenoir City and Larry Ninis of IL.; 2 nieces, 2 nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Satterfield, Bill age 70, of West Knoxville, went to meet the Lord Friday morning, October 21, 2005. Bill was a member of First Farragut United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee class of 1960. Bill was preceded in death by his grandson, Patrick Sizemore; parents, Tom and Lucy Satterfield; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Oscar and Maybell Looney. Survivors: wife of 50 years, Peggy Satterfield; daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Tom, their children, Cory, Courtney and Cameron all of Asheville, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Sandy, their children, Blake, Maggie, Christy and Casey all of Knoxville. Parris, John E., Jr., age 73, of Lenoir City, passed away Saturday afternoon at his home. John was an active member of First Baptist Church and the Adult Choir for the past 29 years and worked with the Bed-Babies for 21 years. He previously served as a Deacon and Sunday School Secretary. John also served as Minister of Music at First Baptist Church in Riceville for 9 years and at Everett Road Baptist Church for a short time. He served the Loudon County Rescue Squad for 40 years and was the Chief for 31 years. He was an original member of the Loudon County 911 Board and served many years as the Chairman. On August 6, 2005, the Loudon County Mayor, on behalf of the Loudon County Commission, presented John with a Proclamation honoring him for his many years of service to the Community and declared it “John Parris Day.” John sang in the Harmonizer Quartet and sang on the Mull’s Singing Convention. He was awarded the “Lou Witzeman” Award for Rural/Metro Corporation by Chief Jerry Harnish. He was preceded in death by his parents, John E. Parris, Sr. and Maude Collins Parris; brother Harold Parris; John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wanda “Tootie” Parris; 3 children, Kent “Lonzo” Parris of Whitleyville; Kathy Miller and husband Gary of Lebanon; Ruthie Harrelson and husband Steve of Lenoir City; 4 grandchildren, Julie Mayerlen and Ryan Miller, Ty and Aly Harrelson; 5 great-grandchildren; Brother, Ron Parris and wife Silver; sisters, Janice Spoon and husband Jerry, Lena “Cricket” Donnett and husband Charles, Jane Parris all of Lenoir City, Jewelene Herd of California; several nieces and nephews. Woodward, Wanda L., age 76, of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, passed away Monday October 24, 2005 at Fort Loudoun Medical Center. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed golfing and cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Woodward and grandson, Todd. Wanda is survived by her son, David and his wife, Susan and their children Lauren and Dane; daughter Lea Blood, husband, John and son Ethan. Other family members include, Rodney and Judy Woodward, Gerald and Vergie Woodward and Jean McCutchen. A family service will be held at a later date. Williams, Billy Ray, age 72, of Lenoir City, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Billy Ray was a member of the Tennessee National Guard for 34 years. He retired as a Warrant Officer. Preceded in death by parents, Clifford and Reba Ward Williams. She was preceded in death by daughter, Cecilia Ann Luckett; husband, Cecil William Smith; sisters, Jewel Ray Littleton Howard and Iva Sue Littleton Lawhon. Retired from Liquid Carbonic Corporation after 39 years service as Plant Manager. He was a veteran of W. W. II serving in the U. S. Navy. Preceded in death by parents, Lawrence Earl Branham and Velma Frances Williams Branham; sisters, Eileen Summers and Virginia Jones; brothers, Robert Branham and Donnie Branham. Gaut, Robert Lynn, age 60, of Farragut passed away Sunday evening, October 30, 2005 at Park West Hospital. Lynn was owner of Lynn Gaut Wholesale Auto. He was a former member of Rocky Hill Baptist Chruch. Lynn was a past member of the Sertoma Club and the Smokey Mtn. Antique Auto Club. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U S Army. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, William (Bill) and Jessie Wolfenbarger Gaut; brother, Billy Gaut. Survivors: wife of 34 years, Gail Gaut; sons, Burke and Lonnie Gaut all of Knoxville; sister, Shirley Gaut of Morristown; uncles, Ed Wolfenbarger of Knoxville and Clyde Wolfenbarger of Dandridge; numerous other family members. McDaniel, Judith Kerley-Age 50 of Farragut passed away Monday morning, October 31, 2005 at Baptist Hospital West. She was the daughter of the late A.C. Kerley, Jr and was preceded in death by her daughter Jennifer Ashley. She is survived by her loving husband Gary of 25 years, son Steve, mother Leona Kerley, brother Alex Stanley and sister-in-law Cari Kerley and their sons Alex and Zachary. Gary's family includes his mother Wilma McDaniel of Phoenix, AZ, brothers and their wives, David and Sherry McDaniel of Phoenix, AZ, Alan and Jeanie McDaniel of Blacksburg, VA, and Paul and Denise McDaniel of Atlantic, IA. Judith was a dedicated leader in the Great Smoky Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of America. She served as a Cub Scout Den Leader, Committee Chair of Boy Scout Troop 444 at Farragut Presbyterian Church while her husband was the scoutmaster, and as Cub Scout Advancement Chair for the council. She was active in numerous leadership positions for the Toqua District. Her love for Scouting included chairing Adult Educational programs for the council and those in other Southeastern states. The Council awarded her the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver for her years of service. Judi received her M.S. degree in Plant and Soil Science in 1981 from the University of Tennessee. Her M.S. thesis project was published in the international prestigious cell biology journal "Protoplasma." In 1982 she joined Dr. Bob Conger's program and took charge of main laboratory responsibilities. She was the lead technical person in two space shuttle experiments that lifted off in 1994 and 1998 (the latter was the John Glenn mission) to study the initiation and development of plant embryos. She was a competent and innovative molecular biologist. She was author or coauthor of 15 articles in refereed journals, proceedings of national and international symposia and congresses, and book chapters. She was also author or coauthor of 28 published abstracts, most of which she presented either orally or as posters at professional meetings. She worked with and helped many undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and visiting international scholars. She was a member of the American Society of Gravitational and Space Biology, Society for In Vitro Biology, Gamma Sigma Delta and Sigma Xi. She received the Sigma Xi award for Research Support Staff in 1988 and The University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture (UTIA) Award for Outstanding Service in 2001. Millsaps, Annie, age 97, of Greenback, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2006 at her home. She was a member of Axleyýs Chapel United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Uel Millsaps; son, Larry Millsaps; daughter, Joan Munsey; parents, Ed and Georgia Bright; brothers, Ben, Kenneth and Baxter Bright; sister, Imogene Heaton. Survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Bettye and Clyde Thomas, Deane Bradford and Mildred Faye and Geary Hill; daughter-in-law, Estelle Millsaps; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Allan and Barbara Bright, Gene and Anna Lue Bright; several nieces and nephews. James D. Scott, age 47, of Lenoir City, passed away suddenly Monday, October 2, 2006. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. James was an employee of Habitat for Humanity. He was a former employee of Flying J Truck Stop, where he worked for 10 years. James was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Smith and father, George Scott. Survived by his wife of 26 years, Peggy Smith Scott; son, James Scott; daughter, Mary Ann Scott all of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Katie, Christopher and Passion; brother, Wayne Scott of Massachusetts; sisters, and Janice Martin and husband, Wayne, Carolyn Johnson and husband, Tim all of Athens, Barbara Lynn Anderson of New Tazewell; mother-in-law, Mary M. Barbara E. Carroll, age 83, formerly of Pulaski, VA passed away at her home in Tellico Village, TN, where she resided with her oldest daughter, Cynthia Crews. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Eades H. Carroll and son, Elliott H. (E. B.) Carroll. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Crews, Marcia Blevins and husband, Larry, Alda Levendosky and husband, Adam; grandson, Jonathan Blevins; granddaughters, Ashley Levendosky, Allison King and husband, James; great granddaughter, Olivia King. Letsinger, Alvin Eugene Sr., age 67, of Lenoir City, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2006. He was preceded in death by stepfather, Robert Newcomb; brothers, Jimmy Newcomb and Charles Newcomb. Survived by his wife 32 years, Mamie Letsinger; son, Alvin Eugene Letsinger, Jr. and wife, Christy; daughters, Tonya Lankford and husband, Jason all of Lenoir City, Tammy Warren of Dandridge; 7 grandchildren, D. J., Corey, Brittany, Lauren, Alexis, Madison and Keshaun; mother, Alma Letsinger Newcomb; brother, Robert Newcomb, Jr.; niece, Krystal Cannon all of Lenoir City. The family would like to express a special thank you to the National Kidney Foundation. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Monday and proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for 11 a.m. graveside services with Rev. Ronny Jones officiating.
