Griswold, Richard M., age 71, of Tellico Village Community, Loudon, TN formerly of Jackson, Michigan passed away Sunday, October 20, 2002 in Knoxville, TN Richard was born in Ft. Madison, Iowa. He was a member of the Tellico Village Community Church. Richard was an avid golfer. He was vice president and treasurer of CMS Energy in Jackson. A member of Maryville Kiwanis Club and a former member of Jackson Kiwanis Club. He served in the U. S. Air Force. Preceded in death by parents, Frank and Aline Griswold. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Jacqueline Griswold; brothers, Simeon Griswold of Mequon, Wisconsin and R. Patrick Griswold of Ft. Madison, Iowa; sisters, Linda Eldridge of Illinois and Rebecca Weiss of Kansas; several nieces and nephews. Private burial services will be held in Iowa. Johnson, Eulalia F. McNamara, age 84, of Peoria, IL passed away Tuesday evening, October 22, 2002 at Farragut Health Care Center in Knoxville, TN. Eulalia was a member of Salem Lutheran Church. She worked for many years as a dental assistant for Dr. Otto Litwiller. Eulalia was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Williams, Charles Edgar (Ed), age 91, of Lenoir City, passed away Monday afternoon, October 28, 2002 at the Parkwest medical Center. Ed was a charter member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer and was retired from Vulcan Materials Co. Preceded in death by son-in-law, Cecil Brookshear. White, James D., age 60, of the Tellico Village Community, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, died Friday morning, November 1, 2002 at his home. Jim was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Tellico Village. He was a 1959 graduate of Libbey High School. Jim joined the Marine Corp where he served 7 years active duty. He was employed by the Toledo Police Department where he worked as a street patrol officer for 28 years retiring in 1997 and moving to Tellico Village. Jim is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Patricia; sons, James White and Jeffery White; daughter, Nancy Birchfield; 5 grandchildren, and sister, Jean Greenwood. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 3 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Tellico Village with Rev. Jim Bishop officiating. Williams, Roy E. Jr. (Earl) - age 50 of Lenoir City, passed away Friday, November 1, 2002 at his home. Earl was of the Methodist Faith. A former employee of Kimberly Clark and a licensed electrician. He was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force and enjoyed working with computers. Earl was preceded in death by his mother, June S. Williams. He is survived by his wife, Chris Williams; children: Morgan K. Williams and Trevor P. Northam both of Lenoir City, Anthony J. Morciglio of Knoxville; father, Roy E. Ed was a member of Norwood Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN. He was retired from Sealand Corp. as a Chief Marine Engineer. Ed was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Navy. He was an avid fisherman and jokester. Thompson, Kenneth Austin, age 61, of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, passed away Monday, November 4, 2002 at the Ft. Sanders Parkwest Medical Center after a battle with oral cancer. He was born March 19, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Fox Lake, Illinois. In 1963 Ken graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and immediately married his college sweetheart, the former Janet Wales. They moved to Southern California and Ken began a career in the aerospace industry as an sales executive with Allied Signal Aerospace. Following stays in Washington D.C. and St. Louis, Mo., Ken retired in 1997 and adopted Tennessee as his home state. A natural athlete, Ken excelled in sports and had a lifelong passion for golf. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Thompson in 1942 and his mother, Marie Thompson Schaer and stepfather, Walter Schaer. Ken is survived by his wife of 39 years, Janet; son, Scott Thompson and his wife, Carol of Erie, Pa.; daughter, Kelly Thompson, of Silver Spring, Md. He will also be missed by the many others who loved him. The family wishes to thank his physicians and their staffs for the kind and compassionate care. Bobby and Cathy Melton of Sunbright, Jimmy and Debbie Langley of Blaine; loving mother-in-law, Ruby Hendrickson of Harriman. Guider, Fred Houston, age 62, of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at his home. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church where he was Sunday School Superintendent. Fred was a retired construction worker. He served in the U. S. Army. Preceded in death by parents, Houston and Laura Guider; brother, Kenneth Guider; sister, Lola Kirkland. Survived by son, Rick Guider of Seymour; granddaughters, Brittany Erin Guider and Hillary Lauren Guider; sisters, Donna Hatcher and Alice Galyon both of Lenoir City; several nieces and nephews. Parker, Thomas Albert (T. A.), age 45, of Madisonville, formerly of Lenoir City and Loudon, passed away suddenly Wednesday, November 6, 2002 in an automobile accident. He was an employee of Short Bark Industries. Preceded in death by parents, Homer and Margaret Parker; brother, Homer Leroy Parker; grandparents, James Frank and Amanda Kate Murr. Survived by sister, Mary Parker Sims and husband, Randy of Lenoir City; nephews, Sammy Parker and Jason Sims. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Friday with funeral services to follow at 7:30 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. C. J. Spears officiating. Morris, Wanda Lea, age 56, of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at the Parkwest Medical Center. She was an employee with Perkins Family Restaurant for 14 years. Wanda loved kids and ice cream. She was preceded in death by parents, William and Ruth Fowler; sisters, Helen Cole and Dorothy Peters; brother, Eddie Fowler. Survived by daughter, Tracie Morris of Lenoir City; sisters, Mary Tucker of Maryville, Willie Jean Fowler of Knoxville, Judy Valentine of Knoxville, Patsy Beard of Texas and Tena Sizemore of Ohio; brothers, Oscar Fowler of Knoxville, Ralph Fowler of Lenoir City and James Fowler of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Howard, James William (Bill), born December 23, 1929 in Loudon, TN, went to be with the Lord on November 7, 2002 at Fort Sanders Loudon Hospital. Bill was a disabled veteran who served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was preceded in death by daughter, Terry Roseanna Love; Parents, Ben (Slick) and Nina Howard; and nine other brothers and sister. He leaves to mourn his passing: granddaugher, Monica Love; sisters, Francis Goley, Lenoir City and Agnes Goggett, Knoxville; brother, Joe Howard, Loudon; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of special friends. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 10, 2002 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Hawkins Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy West, Eulogist and Pastor Shaun Carter assisting. BROWN, DOROTHY WALDROP, age 82, of Lenoir City, Tennessee, passed away at 7:20 pm, November 8, 2002, at Shannondale Health Care Center, Knoxville, Tennessee. Dorothy was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Lenoir City. Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Randle E. Brown. Dorothy was a precious, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Kenneth Spencer of Powell; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Peggy Brown of Lenoir City, Rev. Daniel and Barbara Brown of Toms River, N. J.; grandchildren, Tony Brown, Neale Spencer, Jill Spencer Schmudde, Julie Brown, Timothy Brown, and Paul Brown; great grandsons, Spencer Schmudde and John Schmudde; several nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. The family will receive friends from 1:00 –– 2:30 pm, Sunday, November 10, 2002, followed by funeral services at 2:30 pm in the Click Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Eddie Chasteen and Rev. Daniel Brown officiating. Graveside services immediately following at Lakeview Cemetery, Lenoir City.
