Luckett, William Henry, age 84, of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday morning, January 9, 2003 at the Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. Henry was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Lenoir City where he was a member of the United Volunteer Class. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Avery Masonic Lodge #593 F & AM. Henry was retired from K-25 in Oak Ridge after 37 years service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Sales Luckett; parents, Henry C. Luckett and Ada Byers Luckett; half brother, Fred Keener; half sister, Blanche Bracken; step father, John Keener. Survived by his daughter, Sandra Cruze of Lenoir City; sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Joanne Luckett of Ooltewah, Mike and Nancy Luckett of Orlando, Fl; grandchildren, Brad Ledford of Chrisman, Ill, Kelly Luckett West of Lebanon, Angie Luckett Demoski of Mt. Jenkins, Imogene McKee, age 70, of Atlanta, GA formerly of Loudon, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at the home of her daughter. Imogene was a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Loudon. She was retired from Oxford Industries in Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Benton Allen Jenkins; mother, Mary Lily McKee; father, Virgil McKee; and brothers, Arthur and Robert McKee. Survived by children, Freddie Allen Jenkins and wife, Cynthia of Roswell, GA and Karen Becker and husband, Ron of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren: Jason Jenkins and wife, Julie, Freddie Jenkins and wife, Sandy, Michael Jenkins, Craig Jenkins, Cody, Brandon and Krissy Becker, and Alex Freeman; great grandchildren, Jennifer, Ariel and Micaiah Jenkins; brothers, Virgil McKee and wife, Molly of Lenoir City, Jake McKee and wife, Kathleen of Conyers, GA; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Broyles, Nick, age 80, died Thursday, January 9, 2002 at his residence at River Oaks in Lenoir City. Nick was born on March 6, 1922 on the family farmstead near Gallopolis, Ohio to George and Nancy (Lee) Broyles. He graduated from Gallopolis High School in 1940. After high school like many boys his age he spent a few months working under a Federal work project before enlisting in the Army Air Corps. He was stationed in the Pacific Theatre. After his discharge Nick married Elzetta Pearl (Presson) Broyles on September 21, 1946. Nick first attended Ohio State University on the GI Bill and was coached by Woody Hayes on the volleyball and baseball teams. He later worked for North American Aviation in Columbus. While working for North American Aviation and later Rockwell International he worked in Ohio, Missouri, California, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania with many temporary assignments in other places and overseas. Nick received many accolades from numerous government and non-profit groups he gave his time to. These included groups in the seventies striving for equality such as "Oklahoma Governor's Work Group on the Handicapped". After retirement Nick and Elzetta moved to Pataskala, Ohio. While there he ran and was elected twice to the Etna Township Clerk Position. They moved to Tellico Village in 1997. Nick was an active member in the Disciples of Christ (Christian) denomination throughout his life. He was an active participant in the Loudon County Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Elzetta; sons, Michael Lee and wife, Linda of Tellico Village, Pat of Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, Timothy Alan and wife, Bonnie of Strasburg, Pennsylvania; daughter, Tamara Sue (Hall) and husband, Rick of Gallup, New Mexico; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the Loudon County Christian Church with Pastor Rick Keck officiating. Everyone who knew Nick is invited to attend. Albright, Lillian J. May of West Knoxville, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2002 at Park West Hospital. She was a member of Stoney Point Missionary Baptist Church in Knox Co. Preceded in death by husband, Rev. Bill Albright; brothers, Will, Jack and Joe May; sister, Anna Catherine May; daughter-in-law, Tresa Albright. Survived by daughters and son-in-law, Pamela Chang of Miami, Fl., Belinda and Herschel Brooks of Knox Co.; sons, Eddie Albright of Kingston, Douglas Albright of Knox Co.; grandchildren, Maxie and Marco Chang of Fl., Scott Brooks and wife, Tracie, Bryant Brooks and wife, Stacy both of Knoxville, Alisha Albright of Kingston; great grandson, Christopher Brooks; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jewell and Rev. Bohanan, Richard, age 48, of Lenoir City, passed away suddenly Friday, January 10, 2003 in an automobile accident. Richard was a truck driver with Land/Air Trucking Co. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Erb Cooper, Hobart and Mary Bohanan; aunts, Margaret Harbin and Myrtle Dykes; uncle, Jim Cooper. Roach, Virginia G. (Penny), age 62, of Lenoir City past away Sunday morning, January 12, 2003 at her home. Virginia was born in Elkorn City, KY, May 20, 1940. She retired from Martin Marietta K-25 Plant in 1995. She was a member of the Lenoir City Church of Christ and a hospice volunteer with Housecall Home Health for many years. Her mother, Edith Maynard Bartley of Lexington, KY, father, Perry Bartley of Morristown, TN, and brother, Dick Bartley of Harrodsburg, KY, preceded Virginia in death. She is survived by her husband, Gary Roach, daughter, Kim Xenakis, daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Anthony Presley, stepdaughter and son-in-law Angie and Tony Ward, all of Lenoir City; stepson DeWayne Roach of Farragut, stepdaughter-in-law Sheri Roach of Loudon. Grandchildren, Ferryn Xenakis, Alex Presley, Justin Roach, Haley Lewis, Abigail Roach and Nicholas Roach; sister-in-law Ruby Bartley of Harrodsburg, KY, brother, Mike Bartley of Ft. Edington, James Moss, age 81, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday afternoon January 14, 2003. Moss was a veteran of World War II serving with Gen. Eisenhower in the U.S. Army during the Battle of the Bulge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Minton Edington; parents, Charles and Laura Leonard Edington; sisters, Anna Lee Edington Taylor and Willa Mae Edington Valentine. Survivors: sisters, Myrtle Lamons of Knoxville, Ruth Letsinger and husband Tom of Roane County; brother, Clyde Edington of Roane County; several nieces and nephews. Daniels, Dale, age 71, of Farragut passed away Monday, January 13, 2003 at U. T. Medical Center. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church. Dale was retired from Lockheed Martin. He was a veteran of U. S. Air Force 459 Motor Vehicle Squadron of Guam. A member of Loudon Masonic Lodge, York Rite, Scottish Rite and Shriners and Shriners Past Master Club He was Past Master of Choto Lodge #253. Preceded in death by parents, E. C. Daniels and Nancy Jane Honeycutt Daniels; and sister, Doris Shipley. Lintner, Jimmy, age 55, of Lenoir City was suddenly called home by the Lord on Tuesday afternoon, January 14, 2003. Jim was a graduate of Lenoir City High School. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U. S. Navy. He worked for T. V. A. for 25 years. Jim attended First Baptist Church in Lenoir City. Survived by his wife, Kim Lintner; step-son, Jimmy Hartline and wife, Heather, step-daughter, Samantha Hartline; step-granddaughter, Katlyn Hartline; all of Lenoir City; parents, Roy and Lucille Lintner; sister, Dianne Woford and husband, Jim and their son, Brad all of Strawberry Plains; mother-in-law and father-in-law, John Henry and Freida McNabb of Lenoir City. Spraker, Lela Blanche Eblen - of Lenoir City. born January 17, 1916, passed away January 15, 2003 at her home. Blanche was a faithful member of Dixie Lee Baptist Church for 55 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Yoakum Bush Eblen and Sallie Ann Littleton Eblen; brother, George Samuel Eblen and sister, Wilma Eblen Dozier. She was former owner of Bowman and Porter Furniture Store in Loudon. She was preceded in death by husband, Charlie A. Shelton, James Simmons (Jim), age 32, of the Karns Community, Knoxville, passed away suddenly Friday evening, January 17, 2003 at Park West Hospital of a heart attack. Jim was a member of the Knoxville Christian Center and was saved at a early age. He was a graduate of Karns High School Class of 1988 and had an associate degree in Civil Engineering from Pellissippi State. Jim was a state licensed land surveyor and was owner of Shelton Land Surveying. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors: parents, Charlie and Faye Shelton of Karns; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Mike Kalna of Karns; brother and sister-in-law, John and Kim of Halls; nieces, Katie Kalna and Brittany Shelton; half brother, Terry Lynn Shelton; half sisters, Wanda Lee, Judy Costner and Brenda Barnard all of Knoxville; several other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Coker, Grace Raby age 80, a lifelong native of the Farragut area, passed away Saturday morning January 18, 2003 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Grace was a very active member of First Farragut United Methodist Church. She was a founding member of the Knox County Alliance of Seniors and was the director of the travel tours for the group. Grace was in charge of all the elections in the Farragut area. She was retired from the Tennessee Department of Employment Security and was the former owner of Creative Tours. Grace was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Adra Wheeler Raby; brothers, John, Cliff and Nelson Raby. Watson, Eugene age 69, of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2003 at the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Gene was a member of the Avery Lodge #593 F & AM. He was a charter member of the Highland Park Ruritan Club where he served as president and Governor of the Smoky Mountain District. He was retired from Martin Marietta. He was preceded in death by parents, George and Euna Watson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Milton and Katy Green. Survived by wife, Jean Watson; daughter, Cindy Duncan and husband, Kenny; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Johnny and Charlotte Green; nephews, Greg Green and wife Kim of Lenoir City, Jeff Green and wife, Debbie of Mississippi; great nephew, Cody Green; great nieces, Chelsey and Ashley Green. Carmichael, Alma Lucken, age 95, of Farragut, TN, formerly of Bethesda, MD and Dayton, KY, passed away Sunday morning, January 19, 2003 in Knoxville, TN. Alma was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church, Bethesda, MD. She was an avid gardener and loved flowers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Carmichael. Survived by: sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Marilyn Carmichael of Farragut, TN, Tom and Helen Carmichael of Buffalo, NY; also survived by Janet Sparka of Rochester, NY, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lawrence, Owa Mae Wood, age 88, of Farragut, passed away Monday, January 20, 2003, at the Farragut Health Care Center. Mae was born in Suit, NC and was a graduate of Murphy High School. She was a member of Dixie Lee Baptist Church since June of 1945, where she was a choir member and taught the Faithful Workers Sunday School class for 41 years. Mae worked for many years at Yale and Towne in Lenoir City and was a retired manager of the baby department at J. C. Penney. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker. Mae was a lifelong volunteer at the Farragut Health Care Center and was the recipient of the 1997 TN Nursing Health Care Volunteer of the year award. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Clyde Lawrence; parents, James and Letha Collins Wood; brothers, Lon, Fred, Claude, Lee, Stanley, Quinton and Charlie Wood. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Ronald E. and Carolyn Lawrence of Lenoir City; Doris Henning of Farragut; grandchildren, Catherine Willson, of Knoxville, Joannna Henning Wilburn and husband Jeff, of Loudon, Michael Lawrence and wife Adrienne, of Washington, DC, Lisa Bruner and husband Von, of Cleveland, TN, Richard Lawrence and wife Anna, of Knoxville; "new"grandchildren Molly Adams of Hendersonville, TN and Carole Hutchens of Knoxville; great grandchildren, Michael Lawrence Jr., Brent, Shawn and Eric Bruner, Christian and Samuel Lawrence; many loving nieces and nieces. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel. Funeral services 11 a.m. Saturday Dixie Lee Baptist Church with Rev. John Burleson and Rev. James Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Deacons of the church will serve as pall bearers. Memorials may be made to the Activities Fund of Farragut Health Care Center, 12823 Kingston Pike, Farragut, Tn 37922.
