Black, Irene Myers, age 86, of Greenback, passed away early Monday morning May 15, 2000, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Irene was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church. She retired as a teacher from Greenback School. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Black. Daughter, Wanda Black Chapman. Parents, Nathan and Martha Myers. Sisters, Rosie Everett, Carsie Cope and Victory Myers. Brothers, Arthur and Levi Myers. Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Carol Black of Lenoir City. Son-in-law, Roy J. Chapman of Maryville. Granddaughters and husbands, Crystal and Peter Calkin of Maryville, Pam and David Phelps of Lenoir City. Great granddaughter, Jesse Klatt of Lenoir City and her father, Jeff Klatt of Tellico Village. Grandson, Todd Chapman of Lexington, Kentucky. Schram, Dennis George, age 62, of 604 West Tenth Avenue, Lenoir City Tennessee, the home of his sister and brother-in-law, passed away Tuesday evening May 16, 2000. Dennis was born and raised in Algonac Michigan. He was retired from the U.S. Navy with 20 years of service, and proudly served 3 years in Vietnam. Dennis was a member of the Fred Quantz Memorial V F W Post 3901 of Algonac Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Anthony Schram and Valerie Laura Sprankel Schram. Survivors: Sisters, Deborah and Lonnie Bryant of Lenoir City, Doreen and Johnny Ayers of Lenoir City, Deanna (Sandy) and James Miller of China Michigan, Dee Joyce Saph of Iron Wood Michigan, Donna and Theodore Good of Summerville South Carolina. Brothers and sisters-in-law, Dirk and Darlene Schram of Algonac Michigan, David and Heidi Schram of Fayetteville North Carolina, Dale and Jean Schram of Fayetteville Northa Carolina, Duane and Sue Schram of Marine City Michigan. Cates, Opal Harris Bible, age 75, of Lenoir City passed away Friday morning May 19, 2000 at her home. Opal was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her Daughter, Brenda Sue (Susie) Bible. Parents, William Grady Harris and Beatrice Shepherd Harris. Sister, Mary Porsus. Brothers, Curtis and Jack Harris. Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Lonnie Jones with whom she made her home, Glenna Mullenix of Lenoir City. Richards. Charles Hobson (Chuck), age 64, of Ten Mile, passed away suddenly Saturday, evening May 20, 2000, at the Roane Medical Center. Chuck was a member of High Ridge Baptist Church. He was a truck driver for Bacon Trucking Company. Chuck was preceded in death by his first wife, Lille Mae Bettis Richards. Survivors: Wife, Betty Brown Richards. Son and daughter-in-law, Carson and Judith Owens of Ten Mile. Daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Charles Blackburn of Sandwich Illinois, Bobbie Whitney and Ron Lanier of Kingston Illinois. Lawrence, Nancy Maples age 53 of Maryville, formerly of Knoxville, born again believer and graduated Sunday afternoon May 21, 2000 at Baptist Hospital. Nancy was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Willard Maples. Sister-in-law, Bobbie Maples. This is one of Gods’ richest blessings, not only to know, her but also to love her, and let her love you back. Eubanks, Catherine Elizabeth Sellers, age 84, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday evening, May 20, 2000, at Park West Hospital. Catherine was a member of Grassy Valley Baptist Church. She was retired from Eaton, Yale and Towne. Catherine was a graduate of Farragut High School. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Jean Pickett. Brothers, Sammy Sellers and Cecil Sellers. Sisters, Dora Kirby and Rosella Lowery. Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Sandra Eubanks of Knoxville. Arden, Linda Ruth Johnson age 49 of Lenoir City passed away Tuesday morning, May 23, 2000 at Loudon Health Care Center. She was a former member of West Broadway Baptist Church. An avid quilt maker. A former secretary to the minister at Loudon Health Care and was active in the residence council. Preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Vancie Johnson; brother, Russell Johnson Jr. She is survived by sisters, Louise Cook of Lenoir City, Lillian Sarten of Lenoir City, Barbara Lane of Loudon and Joyce White of Sweetwater; brothers, David Johnson, Larry Johnson and Kenneth Johnson all of of Lenoir City, John Johnson of Knoxville; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. Young, Lester William, age 85, of Lenoir City passed away Tuesday morning, May 23, 2000 at the Park West Hospital. Lester was a member of Dixie Lee Baptist Church where he was ordained a Deacon in 1949. He was a member of Steam Fitters Local #718. Lester is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beulah Davis Young; sons and daughter-in-law, L. D. and Colleen Young of Dahlonega, Ga., Marvin Young of Lenoir City; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Richard Brown of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Terri Rider, Mike Young, Maribeth Griffin, Patti Lyn Adams, Ami Young, Marty Lenoir Young Troxler and Marvin Scott Young and Cori Brown; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Long, Charles A., age 61, of Deltona, Fla. passed away Thursday, May 25, 2000 at the U. T. Medical Center. He was retired from Flagler Beach, Fla. as a Building Official. He was a veteran of the Marine Corp., 1st Marine Division serving during the Korean War. A lifetime member of the V. F. W. Charles was a PGA golf professional. He had recorded six holes -in- one during his career. He is survived by his wife, Mary P. Long; daughter, Terri Lynn Tyson & husband, Kirk of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; step-son, Tony McCloud of Deltona, Fla.; step-daughter, Vicki Coleman of Alabama; sisters, Martha Anderson of Deltona, Fla., Cindy Long, Vickie Boone and husband, Roy of Lenoir City; brothers, Thomas Wesley Williams and wife, Linda of Somerset, Ky., David Sparks of Morristown, Ed Long and wife, Sherry of Lenoir City, Tony Long of Lenoir City; step-mother, Nettie Mae Shubert Long of Lenoir City; special niece, Mona Rollins and several other nieces and nephews. Lane, Oscar E. Sr., age 79, of Lenoir City went to be with the Lord Friday evening, May 26, 2000 at Park West Hospital. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lenoir City. Retired from T. V.A. A member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local Union #102 for over 50 years. A veteran of W. W. II serving in the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Marcus Lane; brothers, Oliver Lane, Edgar Lane and Claiborne Lane; sister, Voncile M. Bond. Wilson, Randal Alan (Randy), age 42, of Lenoir City, passed away Saturday morning May 27, 2000 at his home. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Loudon. An Engineer for U. S. Cellular. He served on the church vestry. He was a member of the National Executive Committee for U. S. Cellular. A 1975 graduate of Lenoir City High School. Randy attended U. T. Knoxville, East Tn. State University, Maryville College and received his Certificate of Education for ministry at the University of the South. Preceded in death by his niece, Tonya Smith. Survived by his parents, Albert & Pauline Wilson of Lenoir City; sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn & Robert Simpson, Jo Anne & Carl Smith, Wanda & Ronnie Queener all of Lenoir City, Christine & Don Embler of Irving, TX.; brothers and sister-in-law, Jack & Gaynelle Wilson of Kingston, Richard Wilson of Atlanta, GA.; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, many friends. Kirkpatrick, Evelyn Butler age 58 of Knoxville Tennessee, formerly of Bienville Louisana, passed away Saturday evening May 27, 2000 at St. Marys Hospice Center in Halls. Evelyn moved to Farragut in 1981, and has been a member of First Baptist Church of Concord for 19 years. She was a bank manager for many years in Louisiana, and had worked as an assistant vice president for Home Federal Bank in Knoxville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Moses and Rae Cox Butler. Brother, Buddy Butler. Survivors: Husband of 41 years, Glen Kirkpatrick. Daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Billy Blackwell of Athens La. Sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Tamala Kirkpatrick of Knoxville, Mitchell and Julie Kirkpatrick of Arcadia La. Milford, Mary Louise Duthie, age 85, of Knoxville, formerly of Oak Ridge, passed away Saturday morning May 27, 2000 at Brakebill Nursing Home. Mary Lou was a graduate of Iowa State University with a B.S. in Home Economics in 1939. She taught school in Iowa and at West Hills Elementary in Knoxville. She later tutored many students in her home in West Hills. Mary Lou was a resident of Oak Ridge from 1944 to 1957, and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She moved to Knoxville in 1957, and was an active member of Bearden United Methodist Church. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her daughter, Joanne S. Milford. Parents, Vernon J. Duthie and Mary Estelle Campbell Duthie. Brother, Richard E. C. Duthie. Survivors: Husband of 60 years, Robert P. Milford Sr. Son and daughter-in-law, Robert P. Milford Jr. and Sarah G. Milford of Knoxville. Daughters and son-in-law, Marilyn Milford Cooley and Dr. Norvin R. Cooley of Oregon City, Oregon, Dianne E. Milford of Lauderhill, Florida. DeTorre, Isidore John, age 91, of the Lenoir City Tennessee, formerly of Forest Hills Pennslyvania, passed away suddenly Friday evening May 26, 2000. Isidore was retired from Westinghouse, as a General Foreman. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Grubbs. Survivors: wife of 73 years, Helen M. DeTorre. Son and daughter-in-law, Don and Tonie DeTorre of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon Tennessee. Son-in-law, Bob Grubbs of Ormond Beach Florida. Grandchildren and spouses, Michelle and Steve Maggart of Brentwood Tn., Mark and Ann DeTorre of Eagan Minn., Bob Jr. and Denise Grubbs of Long Grove Ill., David and Peggy Grubbs of Cincinnati Ohio, Kathleen and Steve Theriot of Dunwoody Ga. 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Calcote, Margaret Bright, age 75, of 12515 Yarnell Road, Knoxville passed away Tuesday morning, May 30, 2000 at Park West Hospital. Survived by her husband, Donald Calcote; sons, Wendell Delaney of Knoxville, Clyde Buddy Delaney of Orlando, Fl.; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Laura Petty of Knoxville and Mittie Mae Turner of Indiana; several nieces and nephews. Duncan, Lina Pearl, age 73, of 150 Trail View Drive, Loudon, passed away Wednesday May 31, 2000 at the home of her daughter. Granny was a member of Old Time Gospel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Barney Ray Duncan. Daughter, Jeanette Duncan Key. Granddaughter, Connie Key. Survivors: Children and spouses, Faye and John Thomas Sr. of Loudon, Hubert and Amy Duncan of Lenoir City, Rosetta and Billy Moses of Athens, Brenda Harness with whom she made her home. 12 Grandchildren. 22 Great grandchildren. 2 nieces and a nephews. Barnard, M. Don, age 75, of Lenoir City TN, formerly of Livonia Michigan, passed away early Monday morning October 2, 2000 at the Farragut Health Care Center. Don was a member of Episcopal Church of the Resurrection. He was retired from Detroit Edison with 36 years of service. Don was a veteran of World War II serving with the Army. He was a member of the VFW in Northville Michigan, American Legion in Plymouth Michigan and the Elks Club in Plymouth Michigan. He was preceded in death by his step daughter, Jean Skinner. Survivors: wife of 46 years, Eleanor (Ellie) Barnard; son and daughter-in-law, James A. and Leslie Barnard of Brighton Michigan; daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Richard McDonald of Dearborn Michigan; 6 grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; step daughter, Pat Reed and Husband Sam of Lenoir City TN; Step son, Dick Powers and wife Frances of Fredericksburg Virginia; brother, Allen C. Steel, Woodrow W., age 82, of the Glendale Community, Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday morning, October 4, 2000, at his home after a long illness. Woody was retired from the Aluminum Company of America in Alcoa with 30 years of experience. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Marines. Woody was preceded in death by his parents, William C. Steel and Daisy Bergner Steel; sisters, Elizabeth Jones, Emma Rachel Franklin, Jo Potter and Mary Dean Carter; brothers, John D. Steel, twin brother, William M. Steel. Survivors: wife of 56 years, Katherine Shudan Steel; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Charlie Ensor of Vonore; granddaughter, Amy Viles and husband Wes of Vonore, John Ensor of Vonore, Joel Ensor and wife Tonya of Maryville; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Ath Rhyne of Maryville; several nieces and nephews; The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 P.M. Thursday with funeral services to follow at 7:30 in the Hawkins Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Guider officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10 A.M. Nix, Ruth, age 84, of Lenoir City passed away early Thursday morning, October 5, 2000, at the Loudon Health Care Center. Ruth was a member of West Broadway Baptist Church. She was retired from Charles H. Bacon and Care Inn. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd (Slim) Nix; daughter, Lois Nix Fine; sons, Floyd E. Nix Jr. and Wayne E. Nix; son-in-law, Bud Fine; parents, William Husk Galyon and Salusta Dawson Galyon; sister, Margie Trentham; brothers, Haskell and Eugene Galyon. She was the matriarch of five generations including, survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, June and Bill Spoon of Lenoir City, Evelyn and Otis Lynn of Trinity North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law, Franklin and Carol Nix of Lenoir City; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; sister, Pauline Tinnell of Tallahasse Florida; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 P.M. Saturday followed by funeral services at 8 P.M. in the Click Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Lawson and Rev. Sam Petty officiating. Duggan, James Wesley, age 88, of Lenoir City passed away Friday, October 6, 2000 at the Loudon Hospital. He was a member of New Providence Baptist Church. A former knitter with Charles H. Bacon Hosiery Mill and retired from Allied Chemicals. Preceded in death by wife, Mildred Smith Duggan. Parents, Robert H. and Laura Belle Duggan. Ten brothers and sisters. Survived by daughters, Jimmie Faye Duggan, Laura O. Smallen and Dana Marie McDonald all of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Debbie Smith of Nashville, Robin Smallen of Lenoir City, Shannon Edwards and Shaun Pena both of Lenoir City; 6 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 pm Sunday followed by funeral services at 8 pm in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Mark Caldwell officiating. Family and friends will gather by 10:30 am Monday and proceed to the Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services at 11:00 am. Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City is serving the family of James Duggan.

Moore, Minnice (Mickey McAmis), age 76, of Lenoir City, passed away Early Sunday morning, October 8, 2000 at her home. Mickey was a member of the First Church of God. She was retired from Eaton Yale and Towne. Mickey was preceded in death by her husband, and the father of her children, Scott McAmis Jr.; parents, G. J. Johnson and Lillie Taylor Johnson; brothers, Glenn, Bob and Creed Johnson. Survivors: husband of 19 years, Dean H. Moore; son and daughter-in-law, Billy H. and Deloris McAmis; son, Ike McAmis all of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Tracey Walter, Andrea Tallent and husband Kevin, Scott McAmis; great grandchildren, Brittnee Hill and Teresa Hensley; step children, Gary Moore, Ricky Moore and Susan Wilson; step grandchild, Lora Wilson; sisters, Bertha Sales of Lenoir City, Juanita Durrette and Mozella Voss both of Indiana; brothers, Don and Gene Johnson both of Lenoir City; special nephew, Jack Sales; several other nieces and nephews; The body will lie in state from 12 to 1 P.M. Wednesday at the First Church of God, 194 Finley Drive, Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 1 P.M. with Rev. Morgan Davis and Rev. Norvell Peek officiating. Interment will be in the Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City.

Jones, Ronny H. age 59 of Lenoir City, passed away suddenly Tuesday October 10, 2000, at his home. Ronny was of the Baptist faith. A veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors: son, Rodney Jones of Lenoir City; parents, Gordon and Lois Sexton of Lenoir City; sisters, Nanette Fritts of LaPlace La., Dana Freshour of Lenoir City, Terri Tallent of Loudon; mother of his son, Betty Ward of Lenoir City; several nieces and nephews.
