Mayfield Garrett Jr.
Services for Mayfield "Pat" Garrett Jr., 71, of Citadel Court, Rockvale, who died at home Thursday, July 30, after an extended illness, are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at Jennings & Ayers chapel with burial in Triune Cemetery. Bill Fox will officiate.
His mother was the late Anna Ruth Pinkston Garrett, and his wife was Dorothy Garrett, who died in 1997.
He is survived by his father, Mayfield Garrett of College Grove; son, Rick Garrett of Rockvale; a daughter, Vicki Garrett of Ocala, Fla.; a brother, Mike Garrett of College Grove; a sister, Selene Crabtree of Nashville; and two grandchildren.
A native of Williamson County, he had lived in Florida for several years before moving back to Rutherford County eight years ago. He was a retired manager for a trucking company.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home.

Mabel W. Worthington
Services for Mabel W. Worthington, 89, Cleveland, Miss., who died Thursday, July 30, at a West Point, Miss., hospital after a stroke, are set for 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church in Cleveland with burial in Cleveland Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Thomas W. Worthington of Murfreesboro; and a daughter, Diane W. Young of West Point.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, Miss.

Howard L. Woods
Services for Mr. Howard L. Woods, 75, who died Thursday at Boulevard Terrace Nursing Home are scheduled for Monday at 7 p.m. at Hellum Funeral Chapel, followed by burial at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Johnson Road Cemetery in Christiana, with the Rev. Freddie B. Carpenter officiating.
Mr. Woods was the son of the late Henry and Addie Woods. He is survived by his wife, Anna Nora Woods; seven sons, Charles, John, Henry, Cleveland and Samuel Woods, and James "Jessie" Johnson and Carl Marable; two brothers, Preston and Cleveland Woods, both of Murfreesboro, and two sisters, Izora Rankins Goodman and Alene Akins, both of Shelbyville
Visitation with the family will be held Monday from 6-7 p.m. at Hellum Funeral Chapel.

Ken Stout
Services for Mr. Ken Stout, 71, of Weeks Road, who died Friday at Middle Tennessee Medical Center are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Science Hill Church of Christ in Kittrell, with Marion West officiating.
Mr. Stout was a native of Chicago, and was the son of the late George Kenneth and Frances Street Stout, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Dean Lowrey Stout; a son, Rick Stout of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Peggy P'Pool of Clinton, Miss. and Diane Stout of Nashville; a brother, Tony Stout of Washington, D.C.; and one grandson.
Mr. Stout was a member of the Science Hill Church of Christ, and was retired from Du Pont in the accounting department. Woodfin Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Madge M. Sharp
Services for Mrs. Madge Mealer Sharp, 81, of Oak Ridge, who died Thursday at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge are scheduled for Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge, followed by burial in Anderson Memorial Gardens, with Larry Dipboye officiating.
Mrs. Sharp was a native of Barbourville, Ky., and was the daughter of William O. and Nollie Hale Mealer. She is survived by her husband, Everett L. Sharp; a daughter, Nollie Jenne of Murfreesboro; and two grandsons, Michael Jenne and Matthew Jenne, both of Cleveland.
Mrs. Sharp was a member of the Oak Ridge First Baptist Church, the Oak Ridge Womans Club, the Forty-Niners and several bridge circles. Memorials in honor of Mrs. Sharp may be made to the First Baptist Church of Oak Ridge, 1101 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, Tenn. 37830. Visitation with the family will be held prior to service time on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary.

John Lee Greer Sr.
Services for Mr. John Lee Greer Sr., 93, of Murfreesboro, who died Thursday, July 30, at his residence, are scheduled for noon Tuesday at the Smithfork Tabernacle with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, with the Revs. Jimmy Tyson and Timothy Bryant officiating.
Mr. Greer is survived by two sons, George Greer and Robert Greer, both of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Elnora McClain of Dayton, Ohio, and Mary Mitchell of Denver, Colo.; and a sister, Eva Moore of Lewisburg.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Monday at H. Preston Scales & Sons Funeral Home. The body will lie in state Tuesday from 11 a.m. until service time at Smithfork Tabernacle.

Antonia Weldon
Services for Mrs. Antonia "Tonie" Esther Weldon, 61, of Rocky Fork Road in Smyrna, who died Friday, July 31, at her home, are scheduled for 7 p.m. today at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, with burial to take place later at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Okla. The Rev. Wiatt Funk will officiate.
A native of Oklahoma, Mrs. Weldon was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Garcia Marquez.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Weldon; a son, Rubean Larez of Nashville; a stepson, Michael Weldon of Murfreesboro; a stepdaughter, Kim Thorne of Smyrna; two sisters, Connie Marquez and Frances Mosby, both of Oklahoma; a brother, Jesse Marquez of Oklahoma; a half brother, Paul Lopez of Kansas; and 10 grandchildren.
Mrs. Weldon was a homemaker and member of St. Luke's Catholic Church. Visitation with the family will be held after 1 p.m. today at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.

Dorothy Barnett
Services for Mrs. Dorothy "Ditty" Barnett, 76, of Smyrna, who died Saturday, Aug. 1, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center of heart failure, are scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Smyrna, followed by burial in Mapleview Cemetery. The Rev. Pat Hood will officiate.
Mrs. Barnett was a native of Nashville, and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lola Bullington Ditty.
She is survived by her husband, Frank K. Barnett; two sons, Eddie Barnett of Murfreesboro, and Richard Barnett of Rockvale; and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Barnett was a piano teacher and musician. She attended Peabody College. Visitation with the family will be held from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.

Martha E. Carlsen
A memorial service for Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Carlsen, 81, Columbus, Ga., who died Friday, July 17, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center of a brain tumor and cancer, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, at Advent Lutheran Church.
Her parents were the late John Hugo and Marie Lisa Johanson.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Carlsen of Smithfield, R.I.; two daughters, Carolyn Martha Casselberry of Murfreesboro, Judith Ann Loach of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Margaret Catherine Hanks of Columbus, Ga.; and four grandchildren.
Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.
She had lived in Clearwater, Fla., for 15 years before she retired in Georgia. She and her late husband lived in the Chicago, Ill., suburbs of Wheaton, Napersville, and Glen Ellyn, and attended the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church. She had lived here with her daughter Carolyn Casselberry.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Hospice of Murfreesboro.

Lew Edward Millburn
Services for Lew Edward Millburn, 82, of Lester Street, Woodbury, who died Saturday, Aug. 1, at Columbia Stones River Hospital after an extended illness, are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Woodbury Funeral Home chapel with burial in Amity Cemetery. Dale Hoover and Jerry Higgs will officiate.
A native of Palo, Iowa, his parents were the late Charles C. Millburn and Mary Jones Millburn.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy A. Millburn of Woodbury; two sons, Douglas Lew Millburn of Rockhold, Ky., Dennis Sumner Millburn of Wetumpka, Ala.; a sister, Lillian Vannote of Palo, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, he was a farmer and mechanic. He had lived at Woodbury Health Care Center for 18 months.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. today at Woodbury Funeral Home.
