Timothy Rouse
Services for Timothy Patrick Rouse, 48, of 1203 Glaze Court, who died at his home of cancer Thursday, Dec. 24, are set for 4 p.m. Tuesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. The Rev. Wiatt Funk will officiate. Burial will be follow in City of Loveland Park in Loveland, Colo.
Mr. Rouse was the son of Frances Lynaugh Rouse of Escabana, Mich., and the late Harry Rouse.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Rouse is survived by his wife, Velta Straube, and son, Tarik B. Richards, both of Murfreesboro; and one brother, H. Petty Rouse of Loveland, Colo.
A native of Escabana, Colo., Mr. Rouse was a professor of sociology at MTSU.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the Timothy Rouse Memorial Fund, c/o Department of Sociology and Anthropology, P.O. Box 10, MTSU, Murfreesboro, Tenn. 37132.

Benny Brown
Graveside services for Benny Farrell Brown, 52, of 12405 Manchester Highway, who died Thursday, Dec. 24, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center of an extended illness, are set for 10 a.m. Monday at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Douglas Weed officiating.
He was the son of Farrell Orlando Brown of Louisiana and the late Doris Alma Ford Brown Wharton.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Charlett Johnson Brown; three sons, Benny Brown Jr., Kevin Brown and Douglas Brown all of Murfreesboro; four daughters, Alicia Gail Turnage of Texas, Felicia Dell Barnishin and Cheryl Lynn Grasso, both of Washington state, and Tamara Ruth Little of Louisiana; two brothers, Gary Ford Brown of Murfreesboro and Keith Wayne Brown of Christiana; one sister, Patricia Grimshaw of Louisiana; and eight grandchildren.
A native of Natchitoches, La., he had lived in Rutherford County for the past 12 years and was employed as a paint and body worker.

Harold Davis Sr.
Services for Harold A. Davis Sr., 55, of Orlando, Fla., who died Friday, Dec. 25, are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Baldwin-Fairchild Ivanhoe Funeral Home in Orlando with Ray C. Stover officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Leona Davis of Orlando; one son, Harold A. Davis Jr. of Murfreesboro; three daughters, Jeannette Ruth Lewis and Dawn Ledford, both of Murfreesboro, and Catherine Bissonette of Calas, Maine; three brothers, George and Kenneth John Davis, both of Murfreesboro, and Robert L. Davis of Orlando; one sister, Jacqueline Teague of Murfreesboro; and seven grandchildren.
A native of Danbury, Conn., Mr. Davis was a mechanic and manager of Lake Shore Village Trailer Park. He had moved to Central Florida in 1996 from Murfreesboro. He was a member of the Episcopal church.

Robert Atkins Jr.
Services for Robert Broughton Atkins Jr., 59, of Decherd, Tenn., who died Saturday, Dec. 26, at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester, are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Watson-Gamble Funeral Home in Winchester with burial in Watson-Gamble Memorial Park.
Mr. Atkins was the son of the late Nina Atkins.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie Joyce Atkins; one son, Robert Broughton Atkins III of Antioch; three daughters, Cynthia Johnson of Bulls Gap, Geneva Pruitt of Murfreesboro and Wanda Pelham of Decherd; two brothers, Joe Paul Atkins of Knoxville and Jerry Atkins of Cleveland, Tenn.; one sister, Patsy Noble of Knoxville; and four grandchildren.
A native of Knoxville, he was an air conditioning repairman.
Visitation with the family is set for 5 p.m. Monday at Watson-Gamble Funeral Home.

Louise Vandygrift
Services for Mrs. Louise Davenport Vandygrift, 75, of Cypress Drive, who died Friday, Dec. 25, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, are set for 11 a.m. Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Woodbury. Ken Polk will officiate.
Mrs. Vandygrift was the daughter of the late Charlie and Ina Mingle Davenport. She was married to the late D.W. Vandygrift, who died in 1989.
She is survived by one son, Ronnie Vandygrift of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Connie Glenn and Waldean Price, both of Murfreesboro; and two grandchildren.
A native of Cannon County, Mrs. Vandygrift was a homemaker. She was retired from Chromolox.
Visitation with the family is set for 3 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Robert K. Howard Sr.
Services for Robert K. "Bob" Howard Sr., 58, of Loudon, who died Saturday, Dec. 26, will be 8 p.m. today at McCammon-Ammons Funeral Home chapel, Maryville. An interment service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at East Maryville Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Marty Singley will officiate.
He was the son of the late Clifford L. and Mabel Kelly Howard.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Rogers Howard; a son, Robert K. Howard Jr. of Murfreesboro; a daughter, Tracy Howard Hyatt of Maryville; a brother, Donald L. Howard of Pine Mountain, Ga.; a sister, Sheila Howard Sterling of Louisville; and four grandchildren.
A member of Tellico Village Community Church, he was a manager of the Tellico Village Branch of First Central Bank of Loudon County. He was active in the Blount County Chamber of Commerce and civic clubs.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Frances Snow Poss
Services for Frances Snow Poss, 80, of Smithville, who died Saturday, Dec. 26 at NHC HealthCare, Smithville, from an extended illness, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Smithville, with entombment in DeKalb Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Leland Carden will officiate.
She is survived by sons, Harry Poss of Lebanon, Jerry Poss of Murfreesboro; brothers, Robert Snow and Wiley Snow, both of Smithville; sisters, Jo Ann Moore of Smithville, Mary Morgan of Cookeville, Eleanor Burns of Atlanta, Ga., Elizabeth Edwards of Lebanon; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Smithville, the United Methodist Women's Club, the Smithville Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, and the Smithville Business and Professional Women's Club. She was a retired retail clerk for Puckett's Department Store.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, and 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Services for Harold C. Nipper, 48, of Murfreesboro, who died Sunday, Dec. 27, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center following an apparent heart attack, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Estes and Ron Caldwell will officiate.
He was the son of Ben Robert and Ruby Robinson Nipper of Murfreesboro.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Simmons Nipper; sons, Joshua C. Nipper and Caleb B. Nipper, both of Murfreesboro; sisters, Brenda Johnson and Tammy Payne, both of Murfreesboro.
He was a loan review officer for Wilson Bank and Trust in Lebanon and had served in the U.S. Navy.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Donald Edward Yasger
Services for Donald Edward Yasger, 57, of Front Royal, Va., formerly of Smyrna, who died Saturday, Dec. 26, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va., will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Nashville with burial in the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with full military honors. The Rev. Joseph Breen will officiate.
He was the son of Esther Machij Yasger of Columbia Heights, Minn., and the late Theodore Yasger.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Waggoner Yasger; a son, Gregory Steven Yasger of Murfreesboro; daughters, Roseanne Marie Barnes and Brenda Jean Stevens, both of Smyrna, Teresa Carol Yasger of Nashville; brothers, Jerome Yasger of Garrison, Minn., James Yasger of Minnetonka, Minn.; sisters, Janet Johnson of Eau Claire, Wis., Sharon Falknor of Apple Valley, Minn.; and three grandchildren.
A former resident of Smyrna and member of St. Edwards Catholic Church, he was retired from the U.S. Air Force.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.
Rosary Services will be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
