Rocky Paul Gilley
Services for Rocky Paul Gilley, 43, Murfreesboro, who died Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center after an extended illness, are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Smith Funeral Home, Woodbury, with burial in Gilley Hill Cemetery. Thomas Earl Nichols will officiate.
A native of Davidson County, his parents were the late Paul Stanley and Jearlene Shelton Gilley.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Barrett Gilley of Murfreesboro; two sons, Allen Gilley, Robert Gilley of Murfreesboro; a daughter, Cheria Gilley of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Glenda Davidson of Goodlettsville; and three grandchildren.
A member of the Baptist church, he was a roofer.
Visitation will be held after 2 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home.

Hoyte Hall Reed
Services for Hoyte Hall Reed, 79, Bradyville Pike, who died at home Wednesday, Sept. 9, are set for 3 p.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Archie King will officiate.
A native of Bradyville, his parents were the late Will P. Reed and Novella Williams Reed.
His first wife was Louise Coop Reed, who died in 1975, and he was preceded in death by a daughter, Treasa Ann Reed.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Reed; a son, Bobby Reed of Gallatin; a daughter, Faye Nobles of Fosterville; stepson, Dennis James of Huntsville, Ala.; two brothers, Fred Reed, Clarence Reed, both of Murfreesboro; four sisters, Willie Paschal of Brooklyn, Mich., Ray Lawrence of Murfreesboro, Opha Jones of Auburntown, Ruth Lowe of Readyville; and six grandchildren.
A member of the Southeast Baptist Church, a World War II veteran, and a POW, he was a retired employee of York VA Medical Center.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Murfreesboro.
Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

William T. Parks Sr.
Services for William Thomas Parks Sr., 79, Eagleville, who died at home Tuesday, Sept. 8, are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev F. Murray Mathis will officiate.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl Hargis Parks; four daughters, Judith Farris of Murfreesboro, Doris Sanders of Nashville, Janet Burns of Rochester Hills, Mich.; Pamela Gray of Ohio; three sons, Jerry Parks of Knoxville, William Thomas Parks Jr. of Wayne, Mich.; Robert Parks of Plymouth, Mich; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was a retired master mechanic.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Joe W. Lovell
Services for Joe W. Lovell, 85, Houston Drive, who died Wednesday, Sept. 9, at AdamsPlace Assisted Living, are set for 1:30 p.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Perry Muse and the Rev. A.D. Salisbury will officiate.
A native of Wartrace, his parents were the late Hall Lovell and Mattie Jernigan Lovell.
He is survived by his wife, Mae Qualls Lovell.
A member and elder of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as treasurer from 1944 to 1955, he was a 32nd degree Mason, Knights Templer and a Shriner. Employed by the City of Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department in 1932, he was superintendent from 1938 to 1956 and was the director from 1968 to 1977. He was the former chairman of the committee for training water and wastewater plant operators in Tennessee. He was a member of the American Water Works Association, the American Public Works Association, and had served as president of the American Public Works Association in 1964 to 1965.
He was the recipient of the Arthur Sidney Bedell Award, the Quarter-Century Operator's Club, and the Gold Water Drop Award. In 1989 he was awarded a resolution of gratitude and appreciation for 50 years service from the mayor and city council, city of Murfreesboro, and in 1972 the Joe W. Lovell Water Quality Control Center for Murfreesboro was named in his honor.
Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Willie L. Webb
Services for Mrs. Willie L. Webb, 89, Nashville, who died Friday, Sept. 4, at Vanderbilt Medical Center, are set for 2 p.m. Friday at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Webb cemetery, Kirkland. The Rev. James Turner will officiate.
She is survived by two nephews, Joe Webb of Nashville and the Rev. Elliott Webb of Arrington; and one niece, Donzetta Webb of Nashville.
The body will lie in state from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday with visitation from 1-2 p.m. at the church.
The remains are at Scales & Sons Funeral Home.

Lucy Kimsey Eldredge
Graveside services for Mrs. Lucy Kimsey Eldredge, 96, East Northfield Boulevard, who died Wednesday, Sept. 9, at NHC Healthcare, are set for 11 a.m. Saturday in Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Gregory officiating.
A native of Polk County, her parents were the late Taylor A. Kimsey and Essie Evans Kimsey, and her husband was Jeff Eldredge, who died in 1968.
She is survived by a son, David Eldredge of Beech Grove; a brother, Fred Kimsey of Glouchester, Va.; a sister, Thelma Vineyard of Bristol; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A member of the First Baptist Church, she was a former employee of Sewart Air Force Base Post Exchange, Smyrna, James K. Polk Hotel, and she had retired from Goldstein's Department Store here.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 tonight at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Esther H. Sidener
Graveside services for Mrs. Esther Heinzman Sidener, 95, Murfreesboro, who died Tuesday, Sept. 8, at NHC Healthcare, are set for 1 p.m. Saturday in Greenwood Cemetery, Canton, Ill., with the Rev. Dean Bucalos officiating.
A native of Canton, her parents were the late William Heinzman and Lynnie Arbuthnot Heinzman, and her husband was Phillip Sidener, who died in 1981.
She is survived by a daughter, Hazel Hoffman of Murfreesboro; a son, Gene Sidener of Ennis, Mont.; a sister, Dorothy Wakefield of Spokane, Wash.; and two grandchildren.
A member of the Christian Church in Canton, she was the retired owner and operator of Hotel Royal and Emmas Cafe.
Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.

Frederick Martin
Services for Frederick "Freddie" Martin, 37, Murfreesboro, who died Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, are set for 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Bobby Russell will officiate.
He is survived by his mother, Dora Martin; a daughter, Minleshia Martin; five brothers, Terrance Martin, Kennedy Martin, Willie P. Martin, Richard Martin, and Alfred Martin.
The body will lie in state from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with visitation from 12:30-1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
The remains are at Scales & Sons Funeral Home.

Clyde Jennings
Clyde Jennings, 84, Springfield, Ill., died Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Walnut Ridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Springfield.
He was preceded in death by a son, Sydney Lawrence Jennings.
Survivors include two sons, Gilbert Wayne Jennings of Millbrook, Ala., Ralph Jennings of Cantrall, Ill.; a daughter, Cindy Schuster of Springfield; two brothers, John Logue Jennings of Smyrna, Douglas Jennings of Donaldson; three sisters, Waldine Herbert of Knoxville, Margaret Liddle of Nashville, Thurman Harris of Smyrna; and four grandchildren.
A former member of West Side Christian Church and Sangamon County Farm Bureau, he was a farmer the past 30 years. He was born in Nashville.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today at Bisch & Son Funeral Home, Springfield.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
