DAVID COLEMAN KERSH, 56, of Memphis, died Friday at his home. Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge. He was a member of Kingsway Christian Church. He leaves his mother, Faye Kersh of Memphis; a sister, Carolyn Livingston of Royse City, Texas, and a brother, Dr. Phillip D. Kersh III of Gainesville, Fla.

ELI FRANKLIN KING JR., 81, of West Memphis, sales manager for Pioneer/Western Car Loading Co., died Saturday at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at West Memphis First United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with burial in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Ark. Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis has charge. He was past president of Meadowbrook Country Club and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. Mr. King, the husband of Betty Richmond King, also leaves a daughter, Pamela King Jones of West Memphis; a son, Franklin Eugene King of Collierville, and two grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to West Memphis First United Methodist Church Building Fund.

WILLIA MADDOX, 97, of Bartlett, homemaker, died Saturday at Appling Wood Health Care Center. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Forest Hill cemetery East. Forest Hill Funeral Home East has charge. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Maddox, the widow of Clarence Maddox, leaves two daughters, Freda Anderson of Bartlett and Laverne Long of Cordova, two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

JOSEPHINE O'REILLY, 92, of Memphis, accountant, died Sunday at St. Peter Villa Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Manor Chapel, where she was a communicant, with burial in Calvary. Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel has charge.

EVELENA G. ROSE, 80, of 1406 Hemlock, homemaker, died Sunday at Methodist Healthcare-University Hospital. M. J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home has charge. She was a member of Pillow Street CME Church stewardess board and choir. Mrs. Rose, the widow of La Hara Rose, leaves three daughters, Elnora Dennie of San Antonio, and Henrene Pigram and Electora Curry, both of Memphis; a son, Jimmie Croft of Memphis; two stepdaughters, Eula Richardson of Lynchburg, Va., and Isabella Parks of Chicago; a stepson, Jimmy Williams of Memphis, 30 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

JAMIE MARGUERITTE SELF, 82, of Memphis, homemaker, died Saturday at Saint Francis Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Memphis Rose Society and Terrace Garden Club, former member of First Baptist Church and graduate of Rhodes College. Mrs. Self, the wife of Levon C. Self for 61 years, also leaves two daughters, Carol Self Ramsey and Elaine Peterson; a son, Dr. Ray L. Self, and a sister, Fairy Walker, all of Memphis, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to American Alzheimer Association or a charity of the donor's choice.

She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church choir. Mrs. Smith, the widow of Johnnie Smith, leaves four sisters, Mary Smith, Addie Gillispie, John Ella Gentry and Joe Ann Lyons, all of Memphis.

FRANCES CHARLENE VERNON, 83, of West Memphis, bender for the Evening Times, died Sept. 23 at her home. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis. She was a member of Kirby Woods Baptist Church. Mrs. Vernon, the widow of V. C. Vernon, leaves three daughters, Elizabeth Ellis of Alexandria, Va., Rachel French of Marion, Ark., and Rebecca Vernon of West Memphis, and six grandchildren. Mr. Werne, the husband of Catherine S. Werne for 61 years, also leaves a daughter, Carol Ann Story of Houston; a son, John F. Werne II of Collierville, eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
