MICHAEL ADCOCK KEMP, 48, of Cordova, certified public accountant, died Saturday at Methodist Healthcare-Germantown. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Tilghman Funeral Home in Louisville, Miss., with burial in Good Hope Baptist Church cemetery there. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and the Mississippi State University Bulldog Club and was a graduate of Mississippi State University. Mr. Kemp, the husband of Mary Ann Kemp, also leaves a stepson, Luke Mosley of Fulton, Miss.; his mother, Peggy Joyce Kemp, and two sisters, JoAnn Dempsey and Vickey Dempsey, all of Louisville, and a brother, Cecil Kemp Jr. of Franklin, Tenn. The family requests that memorials be sent to the Mississippi State University Bulldog Club.

EVELYN WILLIAMS LAMAR, 80, of Memphis, homemaker, died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park. Mrs. Lamar, the widow of Dave M. Williams and Percie Lamar, leaves four daughters, Joanie Phelam of Memphis, Bonnie Reagan of Germantown, Patsy Wilson of Nashville and Debbie Upton of Collierville, seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Diabetes Association.

ROBERT GLYNN LAWLER JR., 52, of Hernando, tool and die maker for Smith & Nephew, died Monday at Methodist Healthcare-South. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home in Hernando with burial in Goodrum Memorial cemetery in Eudora, Miss. He leaves a son, Brett Lawler of Hernando; a sister, Lynn Schulte of Memphis, and a grandchild.

JOE DONALD LINDSEY, 70, of Cordova, lawnmower repairman, died Sunday at his home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cordova Baptist Church, where he was a member, with burial in Swiss cemetery in Hohenwald, Tenn. Collierville Funeral Home has charge. He was an Army Merchant Marine and a farmer. Mr. Lindsey, the husband of Ina Sue Lindsey, also leaves two sons, Michael Joe Lindsey of Memphis and Kenny Lindsey of Collierville; a sister, June Presley of Collierville; two brothers, Sonny Lindsey of Collierville and Marvin Lindsey of Arlington; a niece who cared for him, Mary Jo Emanuel of Cordova, five grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. The family requests that memorials be sent to Cordova Baptist Church Joe Lindsey Memorial Fund.

VERNON 'JUNIOR' MALLETT JR., 57, of Southaven, supervisor for Safetyquip for 16 years, died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Hill Funeral Home South with burial in Forest Hill cemetery South. Mr. Mallett, the husband of Betty Mallett for 38 years, also leaves a daughter, Angela M. Church, and two sons, Steve W. Mallett and Kenneth R. Mallett, all of Southaven; his parents, Vernon Mallett and Goldie Mallett of Memphis; three sisters, Othella Pierce of Nesbit, Kay Gunter of Memphis and Anita G. Rainey of Walls; a brother, Allen Mallett of Bull Shoals, Ark., and five grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to a charity or church of the donor's choice.

JOHN McCARVER JR., 83, of Memphis, formerly of Bolivar, Tenn., co-owner of Reed's Auto Safety Service in Memphis, died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ebenezer Baptist Church near Toone, Tenn., where he was a member, with burial in the church cemetery. Shackelford Funeral Home in Bolivar has charge. He was a member of the American Legion and the Leila Scott Masonic Lodge 289. Mr. McCarver, the widower of Gladys Patricia Dillard McCarver, leaves a daughter, Shirley Hindman of Memphis; two sons, Rick McCarver of Southaven and Robert McCarver of Memphis; two half-sisters, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

WILLIE ODOM 'BILL' REGISTER JR., 75, of Memphis, retired union representative from Pace International, died Monday at Saint Francis Hospital. N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He was a member of Trinity CME Church and a Navy veteran. Mr. Register, the husband of Eloise Register, also leaves two daughters, Barbara Gray and Jeri Singleton, both of Millington; three sons, Timothy O. Register of Memphis, Willie C. Register of Sacramento and Ronald Register of Cleveland; two brothers, John E. Register and Adell K. Register, both of Memphis, 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Schmidt, the widow of Leon D. Schmidt, leaves a daughter, Winifred R. Skaare of Kennewick, Wash.; three sons, Bob Schmidt of Cherokee Village, Ark., Warren Schmidt of Kennewick and Albert T. Schmidt of Memphis, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

KARL SCHNEIDER JR., 88, of Memphis, retired from the Air Force, died Sunday at his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park. He was a member of Gracewood Baptist Church. Mr. Schneider, the widower of Frances Schneider, leaves two daughters, Carol Brannon of Southaven and Pam Adams of Cordova; three sons, Karl Ross Schneider of Bell, Fla., and Patrick Schneider and Joe Schneider, both of Memphis, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to American Cancer Society.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McBride Funeral Home in Ripley with burial in Ashland cemetery. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Ashland Baptist Church. Mr. Bright, the husband of Martha Jackson Bright for 55 years, also leaves local survivors including a sister, Iola Bright Thisdale of Memphis, and two grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Diabetes Association or the Memorial and Honor Program.
