ANDREW MARSHALL FLOWERS, 52, of Memphis, died Monday at Delta Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member, with burial in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. M. J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home Whitehaven Chapel has charge. He was an Army veteran. He leaves three sisters, Barbara Washington, Louise Stephenson and Nellie Pickens, and six brothers, Willie Flowers, Early Flowers, Charles Flowers, Robert Flowers, Clyde Flowers and Eddie Flowers, all of Memphis.

JAMES 'BO' GATTIS, 63, of Hughes, Ark., retired insurance agent, died Monday at Memphis Veterans Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis with burial in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Ark. Mr. Gattis, the husband of Virginia Gattis, also leaves a daughter, Lanette Harwell of Memphis; his parents, Thomas and Irene Burnes of Hughes; three sisters, Gladys Atkinson of Oxford, Miss., Sharon Caudill of Danville, Ill., and Debbie Floyd of Marble Falls, Texas, and a grandson. The family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

REV. OLIVER W. GIBSON, 75, of Memphis, retired pastor from the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, died Tuesday at Methodist Healthcare-South. R. S. Lewis & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Rev. Gibson, the husband of Brenda Carol Steinberg Gibson, also leaves five daughters, Charlotte Gibson of New York, Lynn Gibson Johnson of Maryland, Wanda Glover and Marsha Major, both of Birmingham, and Katherlyn Walker of Memphis; a son, Oliver W. Gibson of Memphis; his mother, Evelyn Redmon of Atlanta; two sisters, Evelyn Lowery of Atlanta and Geraldine Bynum of Memphis; a brother, Harry B. Gibson of Chicago, eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was a World War II Army veteran and member of Ridgely (Tenn.) Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. Halton, the husband of Flora Halton, also leaves six stepdaughters, Mae Vaughn and Rebecca Pitts, both of Dyersburg, Tenn., Joyce Smith of Augusta, Ga., Mary Mayfield of Martin, Tenn., and Ida Hawkins and Theresa Hogan-Purdy, both of Memphis; two stepsons, Joe Louis Bogan of Battle Creek, Mich., and James Bogan of Memphis, and 25 stepgrandchildren.

He leaves his mother, Lillian Thomas; six sisters, Deanna Cunningham, Margaret Toles, Lauree Mosby, Maurinda Meadows, Renita Meadows and Marie Smith, all of Memphis, and three brothers, Ray Meadows of Memphis, and Willie James Cunningham and Lamar Cunningham.

SIMEON 'SIMMIE' P. JONES, 68, of Eads, retired station manager for the Postal Service, died Monday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Family Funeral Care Summer Avenue Chapel with burial in Memorial Park. He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church and a Korean War Army veteran. Mr. Jones, the husband of Regina Jones for 43 years, also leaves two daughters, Becky Chenault of Bartlett and Cindy R. Jones of Memphis, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

PATRICIA LYNN LOVETT, 56, of Arlington, retired officer from the Memphis Police Department after 20 years and director of security for First South Credit Union, died Monday at her home. Memorial services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at Griffin Memorial Chapel in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Forest Hill Funeral Home East has charge. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church, president of an Elvis Presley fan club and graduate of the FBI Training Academy. She leaves two friends who cared for her, Diane and Larry James of Arlington. The family requests that memorials be sent to the Memphis Humane Society.
