Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Nell Strope, age 71, will be held Friday January 5, 2001 at 11 A.M in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Langford officiating. Burial will follow in Maxwell cemetery. Mrs. Strope died Tuesday January 2, 2001 at the Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma. She was a housewife and a member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Howard Strope, of Fayetteville, TN, daughters Brenda Everroad of Dallas, TX and Lawana Strope of Huntsville, AL, sisters Polly Armstrong of Clarksville, TN and Mary Kratzer of Oxford, OH, brothers Clifford Luttrell of Murfreesboro, TN, Floyd Luttrell of Huntsville, AL, and Ray Luttrell of Kentucky. Mrs. Strope had 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Annette Jones, age 38, will be held Friday January 5, 2001 at 1 P.M. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Sonny Moore, Rev. Johnny Carr, and Rev. Hubert Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove cemetery. Mrs. Jones died Tuesday January 2, 2001 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. She was a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband Michael Jones, daughter Amy Jones, stepdaughters Jennifer Newton and Wendy Jones, son Anthony Jones, stepson Michael Jones Jr., father Vernon Roland of Ardmore, AL, mother Mary Jones Roland of Fayetteville, TN, half-sisters Carey Markowitz and Sharon Holden, stepsister Michele Dowden and half-brother Charles Vernon Roland. Mrs. Jones had 4 grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be from 10 A.M. until 8 P.M. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Etelka Cope

Funeral services for Mrs. Etelka Cope, age 91, will be held Saturday January 13, 2001 at 11 A.M. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Wayne Hastings officiating. Burial will follow in the Stateline cemetery. Mrs. Cope died Wednesday January 10, 2001 at the Donaldson Care Center in Fayetteville, TN. She was a former grocery store owner and a member of the Stateline Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughters Pat Jones of Flintville, TN, Hilda Stewart of Lewisburg, TN and Corrienne Flack of Rutherfordton, NC. Mrs. Cope had 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. J.D. Fox Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. J.D. Fox Sr., age 71, will be held Sunday January 14, 2001 at 1 P.M. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View cemetery. Mr. Fox died Wednesday January 10, 2001 at his residence as a result of a house fire. He was a faithful employee of the Gallant Funeral Home for nearly 50 years and a member of the West End Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his daughters Jean Howard, Veronica Fox, Mary Jones, Brenda Dance, Linda Bailey, Misty Fox, and Christy Clutts all of Fayetteville, TN, sons Thomas Fox of Huntsville, AL, Lewis Owens, John Robert Owens, James Lee Fox, Ricky Fox, and Larry Fox all of Fayetteville, TN, sisters Corrina White of New Jersey, Aleasi Wilson and Louise Skulls of Fayetteville, TN, and brother Robert Fox of Knoxville, TN. Mr. Fox had 23 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Ambrose Hale, age 87, will be held Monday January 15, 2001 at 11 A.M. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Bates officiating. Burial will follow in the Concord cemetery. Mr. Hale died Saturday January 13, 2001 at the Harton Hospital in Tullahoma, TN. He was a farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church Petersburg. He is survived by daughters Wanda Bonner of Kelso, TN and Doris Seay of New Hope, AL, sons Johnny Hale of Hazel Green, AL and Bobby Hale of Shelbyville, TN. Mr. Hale had 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wilma Joyce Honea

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilma Joyce Honea, age 68, will be held Thursday January 18, 2001 at 2 P.M. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Honea died Tuesday January 16, 2001 at the Crestwood Hospital in Huntsville, AL. She was a beauty consultant and a member of the Calvary Christian Fellowship Church. She is survived by sons Larry Anthony Honea of Hazel Green, AL and Kevin Dwayne Honea of Fayetteville, TN, sisters Addie Mae Ring of Fayetteville, TN and Opal Ward of Pulaski, TN. Mrs. Honea had 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Buford Terrell Brown

Funeral services for Mr. Buford Terrell Brown, age 71, will be held Tuesday January 23, 2001 at 1 P.M. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Brown and Rev. Tommy Dye officiating. Burial will follow in the Melson cemetery. Mr. Brown died Sunday January 21, 2001 at the St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was a supervisor for the Tennessee Highway Department and a deacon at the Oak Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Brown of Fayetteville, daughters Patsy Brown of Deason, TN, Annette Wilkerson and Lory Newgent of Fayetteville, TN, and sister Retha Vogel of Shelbyville, TN. Mr. Brown had 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Faye Dickey, age 76, will be held Thursday February 1, 2001 at 2 P.M. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with the Rev. Kirk Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Kelso cemetery. Mrs. Dickey died Tuesday January 30, 2001 at the Huntsville Hospital. She was a retired schoolteacher, a sales lady for Josten’s, secretary, treasurer and choir member of the Kelso Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her daughter Jane Wilcox of Fayetteville, TN, sister Virginia Eason of Chickamauga, GA, grandson Jeff Wilcox and granddaughter Jennifer Wilcox both of Fayetteville, TN. Visitation will Wednesday from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Louis H. Belado Jr.

Funeral services for Louis H. Belado Jr., age 65, who died in Vanderbilt Hospital Wednesday February 7, 2001 will be conducted Saturday February 10, 2001 at 2 P.M. at the St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Thomas McElhinney officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln cemetery. Mr. Belado was a native of Montague, MASS., a retired U.S. Air Force Veteran and a member of the Catholic Church. He was also a retired employee for the Department of Defense at Redstone Arsenal. He is survived by his wife Josephine Holder Belado of Fayetteville, TN, daughter Pamela Belado of LaVergne, TN, sons Chris Belado of Fayetteville, TN, and Larry Belado of Huntsville, AL, sisters Rose Lewis of Little Rock, AR, Theresa Mayne of Wester, MASS and Leona Jordan of Tom’s River, NJ, foster brothers Eugene Bergeron of Arizona, Roland Ferland of California, and Tim Johnson of New York, foster parents Eugene & Alma Bergeron and grandchildren Daniel Belado & Antonio Belado. Mrs. Miriam Gatlin

Funeral services for Miriam Gatlin, age 92, who died in Lincoln Regional Hospital Friday February 9, 2001 will be conducted Monday February 12, 2001 at 1 P.M. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Black officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery beside her late husband Sam Gatlin who died in 1990. Mrs. Gatlin was a native of Lincoln County, member of the Methodist church and daughter of the late Elephus green and Ida Jane Harrison Bevels. She is survived by her son Jerry Gatlin of Fayetteville, TN. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Gary Coble, age 55, who died in the Lincoln Regional Hospital on Thursday February 15, 2001 will be conducted Sunday February 18, 2001 at 2 P.M. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with the Rev. Benny Berry officiating. Burial will follow in the Britton cemetery. Mr. Coble was a native of Lincoln County, a member of the Baptist church and a Mechanic for Key Machinery. Survivors include his wife Sarah Britton Coble, mother Nona Steadman Coble, daughter Wendy Ruth Flynt, son Jason Coble and sister Geraldine Slayton all of Fayetteville, TN. Mr. Coble had two Grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. at The Gallant Funeral Home.

Graveside funeral services for Kayla Nix Williams, infant daughter of Jeffery Williams and Carolyn Michelle Nix, who died in Harton Hospital Friday February 16, 2001 will be conducted Sunday February 18, 2001 at 10 A.M. at the Flintville Cemetery. In addition to her parents survivors include Grandparents Charles Nix of Tullahoma, TN, Anita Arnold of Fayetteville, TN, and Bobby and Francis Williams of Taft, TN, Great Grandparents W.C. and Lois Arnold and Albert and Jennie Brown all of Fayetteville, TN and Floyd Williams of Taft, TN. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Thurman Young officiating. In addition to her parents survivors include sisters Alanah Mersades Tallman and Alexus Mikayla Tallman of Shelbyville, TN, her grandparents Ann Owens of Flintville, TN, George and Kay Quick, of Shelbyville, TN and Patsy Slayton of Huntsville, AL, Great grandparents Collins and Dora Slayton of Fayetteville, TN and Grady and Bernice Smith of Lewisburg, TN. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Mr. Roland was a native of Lincoln County, a U.S. Army veteran, a carpenter for Consolidated Construction Company and the son of the late Robert and Annie Bradford Roland. He is survived by his wife Shelia Mann Roland, daughter Britany Dannielle Roland, sons Brad Roland and Brian Roland all of Flintville, TN, sisters Margaret Patterson of Taft, TN, Lula Quick and Marcella Knight both of Fayetteville, TN, brothers Billy Ray Roland of Fayetteville, TN, and Tommy Dee Roland of Romeo, Michigan. Mr. Mark David Ellenberger

Funeral services for Mr. Mark David Ellenberger, age 51, who died Monday March 5, 2001 in the Iowa City University Hospital, will be held Monday March 12, 2001 at 11 A.M. in the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Tom McElhenney officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Ellenberger was formerly of Fayetteville and a Fleet manager for Government services. He graduated from Central High School Fayetteville, TN in 1968. Survivors include his wife Eleanor Ellenberger of Council Bluff, Iowa, daughters Mary Ellenberger and Celeste Ellenberger, son John M. Ellenberger, brothers Fred Ellenberger and Matthew Ellenberger, sister Patricia Ellenberger and grandson Christopher David Ellenberger. Funeral services for Mr. Buddy Cooper, age 52, who died Sunday March 11, 2001 at his residence in Taft, TN, will be held Tuesday March 13, 2001 at 2 P.M. in the Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Mr. Cooper was a native of Lincoln County, a member of the Prospect Baptist Church, an employee for Caldwell Chemical coatings and the son of the late Owen and Argie Boyett Cooper. Mr. Marvin “Hoss” Syler

Funeral services for Mr. Marvin “Hoss” Syler, age 86, who died Thursday April 12, 2001 at the Lincoln Regional Hospital will be held Saturday April 14, 2001 at 3 P.M. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with burial to follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Syler attended the Shady Grove Methodist Church and was an Army veteran of W.W. II, a native of Lincoln County, TN, and a farmer. He is survived by his wife Ozell Hall Syler, daughter Janice West, son-in-law Rhea West all of Flintville, TN, sister Katie Jean of Chicago, IL, and granddaughter Debra West. Dolores Acosta Donellan

Memorial services for Dolores Acosta Donellan, age 62, who died Saturday April 21, 2001 at the Lincoln Regional Hospital will be held Friday April 27, 2001 at 9 A.M. in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Miss Donellan was a native of Hawaii and a former Trim inspector for the Lee Company and an employee for Lincoln Manufacturing. Mrs. Dona Bell Pigg

Burial will follow in Stateline cemetery. Mrs. Pigg was a native of Lincoln County, Tennessee and a member of the Liberty Church of Christ. Survivors include her sons Earl Clutts of Huntsville, AL, Erskine Pigg of Hampton, AR, Goldie Pigg and Jerry Pigg both of Hazel Green, AL, Roger Pigg of Huntsville, AL, and Clarence Pigg Jr. of Flintville, TN, daughters Ruby Mitchell and Clara Brown both of Huntsville, AL, Katie Shelton of Meridianville, AL, and Judy Simmons of Kelso, TN.
