Dan W. Clink, Sr., age 83 of Sweetwater, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2003, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was a veteran of the 8th Air Force having served in WWII in the 447th bomb group. Active member of the Sweetwater Kiwanis Club up until his illness. Also, the Sweetwater Citizens for the Arts. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sweetwater Public Library. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Grace Clink; sister, Mary Clink. Survivors include: wife of 60 years, Eleanor Fenimore Clink of Sweetwater; daughters, Janice Clink of Florida, Lois Clink of Sweetwater, Wendy Clink of Florida; son, Dan Clink, Jr. of Virginia; grandchildren, Kimberly Clink Smith of Florida, Stanley Matthew Clink of North Carolina; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Clink of North Carolina; sisters, Marguerite Benson of Oregon, Bonnie McLean of Minnesota; brother, Edwin Clink of Michigan; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: James Henry and Hester Lillie Thompson; sisters, Essie Florence Thompson, Mae Brackett, and Viola Thompson; brothers, Brad, Tommy, Isaac, Clarence, and Jimmy Thompson; nephew, Charles Thompson; niece, Helen Henry.
