Tellous Lee Kelly, born January 1, 1939, of Carrollton, Georgia, formerly of Harriman, Tennessee, passed away at his home June 1, 2002, following an extended illness. A member of Plantation Baptist Church in Carrollton, Georgia. Preceded in death by his parents, Tellous S. Kelly and Edith Hickey. Survived by his wife: Rella Sue Roberts Kelly of Carrollton, Georgia; one son and daughter-in-law: Charles and Crystal Kelly of Cincinnati, Ohio; three grandchildren: C.J., Cason, and Candis Kelly all of Cincinnati, Ohio; brothers: Larry Ronald Kelly of Kingston, Tennessee and Nolan Kelly of Grandview, Tennessee. Funerall will be 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Kyker Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Nickell officiating. Burial at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Roane Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jim Adkisson, Dean Harvey, Larry McKinney, Lee Bullens, Otho Bullens, Kenneth Pickell. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston.

Ira (Lucky) Wallace Brown, age 77 of Kingston, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2002 at Fort Sanders Parkwest. A veteran of WWII. Preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Marie C. Brown, first born son, Lance Brown, parents, Marion and Beulah Crow Brown. Survivors include: sons: Phillip Brown of Kingston, Dennis Brown of Seattle, WA, Clarence Brown of San Francisco, CA; grandchildren: Diana, Jackie, Katrina, and Clarence Brown, Jr.; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Ola Baldwin of North Carolina; brothers: Billy and Clarence Brown both of Savannah, GA. The memorial service 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Kyker Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston.

Helen Joyce Thompson, of Kingston, born April 29, 1932 went to be with the Lord Wednesday June 5,2002. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Idella Wilkerson and beloved grandparents Ida and Stella Roberts. A native of Spring City, Tennesee and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, H.A. Tony Thompson; son and daughter-in-law, Shay and Andy Thompson; brother and sister-in-law, Lamar and Betty Roberts; Roy and Nettie Brady; sisters-in-law, Stella Thompson, Nola Thompson Carver and husband Howard; nieces, Freida Holmes and Kathy Oliver, dear friends, Juanita and Helen Knight. A special thanks to the members of the Sunday School Class. The funeral will be at 8:00 p.m. Friday in Kyker Chapel with the Rev. Paul Lloyd officiating. Burial at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Kingston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Fredrickia H. Manis, age 56 of Harriman passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at Fort Sanders Sevier Hospital. She was a member of Cardiff Baptist Church, owner/operator of Ricki's Hairport. Preceded in death by granddaughter Ricia Boles, mother, Mildred Turpin. Survivors include: daughters, Georgena Renee Seeber of Clinton, April Hammock Manis of Clinton, Tiffany Cox of Clinton, and Sherri Coffer of Midtown; step-daughter, Bionca Manis of Rockwood; sons: Franklin "Buddy" Boles of Kingston, Tony Coffer of Midtown, Tony Farrar of Kingston; sisters, Claudette Turpin of Knoxville, Kathy Keathley of Harriman, Phyllis Weaver of Oliver Springs; brothers, Butch "Tiny" Turpin of Oliver Springs, Doug Turpin of Harriman, Wayne Turpin of Tomball, Texas, Ernie Turpin of Kingston; grandchildren, Kurtis Seeber of Clinton, Katelyn Gardner of Clinton, James Gardner of Clinton. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Kyker Funeral Home Chapel in Harriman with Rev. Mike Beach officiating. Interment in Roane Memorial Gardens. Faye "Chicken" Brooks, age 62 of Harriman went to join our heavenly Father on Thursday, June 13, 2002. She was a member of Riggs Chapel Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents; Bob and Hopie Taylor, brothers: Homer and Frank Taylor, and son: Brian Brooks. Survivors include: husband: Carl Brooks of Harriman; daughter and son-in-law: Carla and Joe Turpin of Harriman; son and daughter-in-law: Jeff and Debra Brooks of Harriman; sister: Margaret Patterson of Oliver Springs; brothers: Bob, Gerald and Don Taylor of Harriman, Tommy and Morgan Taylor of Kingston, Churn Taylor of Rockwood; 3 grandchildren; friends: Albert, Nell, and Tabatha Brooks of Henager, Al Fox and Mary Crabtree of Harriman. The funeral will be at 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Kyker Funeral Home Chapel, Harriman with Rev. Pete Scarbrough officiating. Graveside service and interment 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Riggs Chapel Cemetery. Lois Esteleen Jenkins Nelson, age 79, of Sweetwater, went home to be with Jesus Monday, June 17, 2002, at Park West Hospital in Knoxville following a lengthy illness. She was a devoted wife and mother of five generations. She was the retired owner of Nelson's Grocery in the Erie Community and a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church. She had served as a Sunday School teacher, secretary and treasure of the church. Preceded in death by husband of 62 years. Martin L. Nelson of Sweetwater, great-great grandson Joshua Lingerfelt of Athens, parents: Arthur (Square) & Sena Mae Jenkins of Maryville, sisters: Stella Boring, Willie Kelso, Eula Nelson, Geraldine Nelson, Estelle Jenkins all of Maryville, brothers: David and Raymond Jenkins both of Maryville. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law: Jeanette and Johnny Rollins, Joyce and Eddie Whited, Joan and Gene Hicks, and Janice and Wayne Givens; son and daughter-in-law: Arnold and Brenda Nelson; sister: Iva Sanders, 3 devoted caretakers; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren. A host of other family members and friends. She was loved and will be greatly missed. The body is at Sweetwater Memory Chapel, Sweetwater where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2002. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the Sweetwater Memory Chapel with Rev. Ralph Hamby officiating. Interment to follow in the Sweetwater Valley Memorial Park. Rosie Marie Davidson, age 77 of Orange County, Texas formerly of Harriman passed away June 18, 2002 at Dubuis Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas. Member of the Church of God of Prophesy. She was a health care worker for many years. Preceded in death by husband, Charles H. Davidson and daughter, Doris Honeycutt. Survivors include: daughters: Jewell Neal of Morgan County, TN, Louise Hughett of Harriman; sons: William Davidson of Orange County, Texas, Bruce Davidson of Orange County, Texas; sisters: Dolly Heatherly of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Mabel Ruth Barnes of Ohio, Jean Wilson of LaFollette, Tennessee, and Kathryn Cordell of Ohio; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Kyker Funeral Home Chapel, Harriman. Interment in Roane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman.

Pauline (Polly) Cooley Meeks Seymour, age 90, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2002 at 6:20 a.m. at the Erwin Health Care Center in Erwin, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband: Doug Seymour a retired Hwy. Patrolman, mother and father: Dave & Lula Cooley, brothers: Dover, Car, Otha, Clarence, and Jewell Cooley. Polly was a wonderful and loving retired 1st and 3rd grade school teacher for over 44 years. She had taught in the Roane Co. Schools in the early years of her career also in the Lafollete and Kingsport City School Systems. Survivors include 3 loving and special nieces: Pat Richesin of Sweetwater, Sylvia Rotiski of Knoxville, and Peggy Selva of Greenwich, CT; and numerous other nieces and nephews. The body is at Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater. Family and friends will meet at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2002, at Sweetwater Valley Memorial Park for a 12:00 noon graveside service and interment with Rev. Ted F. Baker officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Caldwell Alzheimer's Unit at Erwin Health Care Center, 100 Stallings Lane, Erwin, Tennessee 37650.
